Life is too short so stop just marking time through it (#3276)

We all will end our days soon enough so what we do while we are still breathing is important. Not in the big picture so to speak important but nonetheless we each have only so long to live so what are we doing with it? A waste is still just a waste so being productive about something purposeful is smart and honorable. I know this much about myself, I need to be helping life for all species' to exist in a universe that has more options to explore and understand. I am old school in that I believe that we, all of life, are more than resources that cannot be underestimated. The more diversity we have among us the better the chance that one or two of us will be the key to solving some great mystery.
I cannot overestimate this part enough, we are magnificent and amazing as life forms and the sooner we learn to appreciate all of our contributions to what could be the sooner we can start a process for doing just that. Enough of the old survival of the fittest brutality, and let's learn to understand why bringing more of the respect and dignity to all of life is our future. Our planet is ripe for coalescing together as humans and other life forms to evolve toward greater parameters offered through time and space. The next great frontier is not on our planet but out into the vastness of the incredible yet to be known physics of not only our solar system but the Milky way itself and beyond.
My frustration with our slow evolvement toward our true manifest destiny, outer space, is evident in every aspect of my life. Not on scale with Einstein, Kepler or Galileo, but still wishing that our actions would eventually catch up with the potential of our minds eye. The many of us alive today who see space as the unifying paradigm of our Earthly woes are constantly annoyed that the rest of us cannot seem to get our feet off the ground. But as knowledge and wisdom continue to advance the next generations will be unsatisfied with just walking around on Earth when they could be flying around in space. We will get there as a species but as my time and others' time wane the realization that we will never see the fruits of the great imaginations of our species come to fruition, the flame of our dreams grow ever dimmer.
