Despite trumps, keep making the world a better place (#3521)

As our long national hangover continues with the trumps and their conspiratorial republican lackeys, we must find a way to keep our society moving into a more enlightened era. I know it is hard when the trumps do everything they can to make us weary and depressed. Yet, they will soon be gone from our headlines and what we do in the meantime will help to fill the time until the trumps have been discarded. I take what little resources I have and make the most of the them where possible. Doing the next right thing has become a mantra of mine and it doesn't involve me being selfish or greedy. I try to help where I can and in my own small way continue to do so.
Because life is more than the hate that trumps trumpet. It is caring about the lives we have in our sphere of influence and questioning what can be instead of what is. If we could end the pain and suffering in the world most all of us would in a heartbeat but that isn't happening for us yet. So instead we change the world for the better in smaller ways that are real and give hope to those affected. Knowing the right thing to do usually comes from our heart and mind. Both have a say in what makes this world better so using both to conclude how to move forward is logical and smart. We each need to do what can be done within our own ability at the time and place we are at.
Remembering that doing good puts a smile on our faces is important in that it is our payment for sacrificing our own wants for the needs of the needier. Truly lifting some above their pain and suffering is a value worth spending our efforts attaining. Showing the less fortunate a better way is far superior to beating them down much like what trumps have shown. In 46 days we will get to do something about trumps but in the meantime we can still do for those we can right now and express our hope in it. We humans are not a nasty brutish lot like those who ramrod trumps. We are more modern and enlightened like the evolving humans we truly are and the future of our species will continue to reside in the fact of our care and wonder.
