(#6390) We know what to do with our vote now we need everyone to do it!

     It will  be impossible for anyone to rig our votes if we all come out to vote. Like what happened in Hungary, too many said enough for any doubt to be sown. If ever a political party needed a smack upside it's head it is the republican party. That smack will take the form of everyone of us voting to replace every republican in office that is up for election. We may not replace them all given gerrymandering but we can replace a huge majority of them. It isn't just democrats who are riled up over this. It is independents and republicans who were lied to about what was going to occur under trump. So the groundswell isn't just about politics it is about humanity, ethics, and decency!
     For most all of us the trump term so far has been what we expected when he surprisingly won. We knew the disaster to come and after the shock of him being declared the winner we began to dig in and oppose him on every level. As to those who believed him or were indifferent enough to actually vote for him they have another experience. They expected him to keep his promises and be less vitriolic to boot. What they have found, with some still finding out, is he readily willing to break any promise if it doesn't benefit him. As to his vitriol, that has even gotten worse. His core base is still with him for nefarious and ignorant reasons but even that cultish cabal is dwindling.
     We must all remain keenly, and I mean deeply aware, that trump is motivated by keeping power. So even if we vote at 99% he will still try to deny the fact of it. But what won't happen is any doubt about our vote. Because we know that we voted to limit his power and if he tries to negate our vote the streets will be filled with torches and pitchforks, metaphorically, or not to confront him! We the people have been patient with trumps and have given them much leeway. However that time has passed and now we are ready to demand our right to contain him when the voting time comes. He had better pay heed to our determination or otherwise he may not like the eventual cause and effect of it all!

(#6389) Early midterm voting starts in 7 weeks

     Minnesota and South Dakota kick off early voting 46 days before the midterm election. Followed immediately the next day by Vermont and Virginia. In little over 7 weeks that is what is going to happen. Ballots will be cast through in person absentee voting and mail in voting. Each state has specific requirements but the dates to begin voting are established. https://www.vote.org/early-voting-calendar/ November 3rd does seem like a bit away from today but not when you consider the early voting options. We are practically there as each day gets closer to each states early voting schedule. I don't trust the electronic voting as opposed to a mail in ballot. I can take a picture of my mailed in ballot while also tracking it through the state websites where available.
     I have seen the trump win when he seemed to be floundering. It goes against my nature not to think trump had help pulling a fast one especially because it is his nature to live outside the boundaries of fair play. I am getting that same feeling now. He is down in all the polls. He is harming at every turn. But he doesn't seem to care. He isn't changing any of his long held strategies to be a bully even when his own constituents are disillusioned by him. So what is it that keeps trump feeling secure even when all things are going against him? The fix of course. What that fix will be is likely an involvement with musk. Which is why I want a paper ballot to copy and store as evidence should it be needed.
     So it looks like trump is quickly running out of time to pass his voter suppression bill. So who do we see entering back into the frame of our election process? Why musk and his billions to do what he will to settle this coming election back into republican favor. I know this much, if the republican party magically reverses all the democratic momentum into a holding of Congress for republicans we the people need to demand an audit by an independent concern to audit the election. Because fooling us once and maybe even twice cannot become a third time. It isn't really fooling us it would be treason punishable after a conviction and sentencing at maximum to a public execution.

(#6388) The trump pursuit of happiness is about harming!

      I as a philosophical type who constantly talks about our American phrase from our Declaration of Independence that states our unalienable rights like life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. As to life and liberty they are self explanatory. However, pursuit of happiness I always qualify with the John Stewart Mill assertion of doing no harm. So I say pursue your happiness but do no harm as the qualifier. Well trump has never read anything much except divisive propaganda so I would never suspect he would would qualify anything unless there was some gain for him regardless of harm. But for the many more of us who are ethical caring human beings we do understand that harming as a pursuit is wrong!
     So it explains a lot of the why we who are, vehemently against trump and are so unpersuaded by those who are not. It isn't about primarily one issue or his personality/behavior. It is about his cavalier attitude toward everyone else who is not him. He isn't about promoting democracy neither in America nor the world. He isn't about eliminating structural and ingrained hatred if it benefits him at all. He isn't about giving all human beings respect for existing, he is only tolerant if they worship or adorn him with their actions and resources. His pursuit of happiness only exists at the expense of all the rest of us. His goal in life is to be alone on top of the world and anyone else who would try to call him out on that or join him there is an enemy.
     As we continue in the era of his presidency we will find he is capable of much more harm to us as we fight back against his pursuits. But giving in to his desires now would only beckon more and give him greater self delusions. By fighting back we are suppressing his pursuits and making him feel the wrath he so richly deserves. His pursuits are slowed when we fight. They will continue but not at the speed and level he rushes for. He is already harming us so him threatening more harm is just more fuel to us fighting back against him. When his time finally does come to an end we hopefully will return to a leader who would protect our right to pursue our happiness without harming and join us as such!

(#6387) Our fears are a tool to help us understand!

      If you haven't loved then you don't know how devasting fear can be. Just the thought of losing a loved one shocks and bewilders my own experience. When the loss of a loved one actually occurs the real pain of a gut punch ensues. Fear can manifest itself in physical ways that sometimes, albeit only sometimes for a moment, I wish I had never loved at all. That is how excruciating fear can become. But fear in other ways, although scary, it is useful to remind us just how important something is in our lives when it is threatened with removal. Being afraid that our democracy for instance is tilting toward extinction is a fearful thought when pondered.
     That is the moment I find myself in and surely tens of millions in America feel the same. We are not being attacked from the outside by forces that want to keep people under tyranny. No, we are being attacked from the inside by basically the republican party and their chosen gold plated wannabe man/god. The fear that the many of us are feeling, who are never going to submit to the current anti democracy junta, is a bit overwhelming. Fear is like that. It can paralyze us when it should rally us. We are human and respond to fear in a variety of ways. One way is to shy away and avoid the fear. Another way is to take the fear and examine it. Why are we feeling the fear is the question? The answer is that like love, the fear represents a possible loss of something that matters to us. Only then can we take action to alleviate the fear!      When someone is trying to take something from me that isn't theirs then I resist. Much like the fear of losing my democracy to someone who would also take it from everyone else. Even more than scare me, that infuriates me. So although I may experience fear it is nothing in comparison to my anger! Even if you are different than me and aren't as angry as I am at least use your fear to understand what is happening and then either join the rest of us for a solution to eliminate the fear or at least don't hinder our attempts at correcting the situation causing the fear. I have learned over a lifetime that fear is just an extension of my early warning system and because of that needs my immediate attention.

(#6386) Our nation is greater than the current creature wielding power!

      Even though the creature trump is relentless in his pursuit to destroy our democracy, we the people are a force beyond his control. We have had 250 years of freedom and liberty driven into our DNA and some huckster with his lies and smiles won't be taking it away from us with what he has. He is trying his damnedest to wrench our democracy from us with his twisted acolytes who would otherwise have no fame or power. He is like the wicked witch of the east in The Wizard of Oz, and his followers are the flying monkeys trained to act without thought. We are Dorothy and her gang of imperfect souls who understand that our democracy helps us overcome our flaws and create better lives for everyone.
     His powers are immense but they are not stronger nor deeper than our will to be free from his tyranny. We the people are not mindless souls who are in need of a sickened vision of his dystopia. We instead are encouraging and bright as a rule and under this creature now we have been subdued from that enlightened way of life. However, we the people are in a place now where the midterm elections may give us the remedy for what the creature wishes to poison. We the people through the district, appellate, and even supreme court at times, have given ourselves a chance to redeem our honor and put an end to the creature's master plans.
     The creature trump is desperately trying to manipulate what he knows will be a wipeout midterm election. He put all his energy into passing his voter suppression bill and to date it is dead in the senate. I know as well as many others that the creature will continue to coerce republicans to end the filibuster so that he can then wrestle to submission 50 republican senators to approve his bill and that is still possible. It is almost August just a handful of weeks from the first early votes to be cast. But the creature trump knows that in these last 7 weeks or so, when those first early votes are cast, is his last desperate attempt to steal the midterms and stop the democratic wave coming straight for him!

(#6385) Staying steadfast against trump is not for the timid!

     As everyone can attest to now, trump does not take a day off from trying to destroy our democracy. He is on a mission from hell to make sure we feel his intent! The weak at heart will find this daily battle with trump so overwhelming that they may well just say fuck it! I get that sentiment as it is like being torn apart each day with his non stop harms he keeps throwing at us. In other times his intentional harm would have been displaced already by forces less considerate of civilized behavior. But we are not in those times as a rule so what we each do each day is vitally important as a counter to him.
     There is no time for being timid with trump. He is a bully who wants to wreak vengeance on all of us who don't worship him like his cultish base. But even now trump is turning on his base to get at those of us who will not bend a knee to him. What his base is finding out is that although he loves their adoration they are still just cannon fodder in his bigger game. The thing with trump is that although he requires a following he also demands it be universal. He is maniacal about his persona being unlike anything ever in existence and anything short of all admitting that to him is unacceptable.
     So given his impetus for existing he is not to be underestimated. You ignore him at your own peril. Which is why the many of us need to rise up to new levels of focus and readiness within ourselves. Even though he tires us out he cannot be allowed to tire us out completely. We have to stay strong even when staying strong is physically difficult. We have to keep our minds sharp for his moves against us so that we do not get caught being lazy about responses to him. We have to make sure every second of our day is available for when he rolls out another dastardly attempt to usurp our democracy. We all need to be the tip of the spear when he tries to move in on us with his foul uncaring intent! We have to remain vigilant and strong to defend our democracy!

(#6384) With 99 days until November 2nds election, the republican base is cracking!

     There are 99 days left until election day on November 2, 2026. In a couple of states early voting begins in 43 days. We are almost there to begin the most crucial election of our several generations. This election will decide whether we keep our democracy or if trump does get his demented wish of turning America into a tyranny! Make no mistake here I am not embellishing. Our democracy will cease of we don't reverse the current majorities in Congress. The House and Senate make up Congress. Even if we only take one of them back as a democratic majority we will have at least a fighting chance to keep trump from installing himself as a lifetime ruler.
     What we need to do though is take both the House and Senate back into democratic majorities to keep trump from building anything that helps him tear our democracy down. We also need to win as many state races as possible. If we democrats add to our state governorships and legislatures we will also be able to stop trump from destroying many states from within. If you are now aware of what trump is capable of then you know he will never stop his own personal ambition to steal our nation from we the people. In 99 days we will start to get the results of our effort to save our democracy!
     We who are caretakers of our democracy are united in many ways. Especially around preserving what we already have. What we have already lost is what we hope to reclaim when the dust settles over the coming election. Then what we envision as next steps to a greater democracy will come as we continue to upgrade safeguards to protecting our democracy. It all starts in a handful of weeks though so making sure all of us are registered as voters and then all of us making a plan to vote. What is happening in the republican party base is their self made problem and it is a big one. The republican base is also being harmed by trump and his republican sycophants so their enthusiasm for more harm is absolutely waning!

(#6383) The duality of human simplicity and complexity

    Unlike Schrodinger's cat in the box with a subatomic particle, we humans can be in two states at once with our being. Mentally of course, not physically. For example let's take my recent milestone of not having had an alcoholic drink of any sort in the last 20 years. It is both at the same time an easy thing for me to do and a complex thing for me to do. Easy in that I do not allow myself near alcohol, and hard because my mind is always trying to tell me how magnificent I am as a human being. My mind will tell me that I can swim with dolphins or go to the moon in a spacesuit and walk around. Why not just have one drink once in awhile to enjoy the adventure of it all.
     So there is this duality in me that exists both opposites at the same time. They coexist. In the case of the alcohol decision, I stay away from it because I do know that one drink is never one drink with me. So my simple side has effectively won out over my complex side every time so far and I will continue to strive to maintain that equilibrium. I have said this may times, We human beings are an amazing species. Each ad every one of us is unique and similar in uncountable ways. So us having the consistency of our purpose in life figured out allows us to navigate ourselves to a better life experience.
     As to knowing a purpose for ourselves, that to me is also more simple than complex. I exist and I know I exist. I am therefore I am-Descartes paraphrased. I am not a figment of an imagination I am real so what I learn, think, and understand is who I am and what I do with that gives me purpose. We are all different but in one way we are all the same. We eventually expire. So the concept of time is relative to our decisions and choices. I am very comfortable with how I see myself. In some ways I am wise and others I am still learning. Experience brought me this far along with rationalization. I expect that in the time I have left I won't ever come close to understanding or explaining truly how amazing our species is. Equally though, the simplicity and complexity within me is grudgingly agreeable with that outcome. Only grudgingly, because I do expect more from myself regardless of my many faults and frailties.

(#6382) Ukraine has figured out how to destroy Russia

      Making the people of Russia feel the effect of their leaders choices is how to begin to end this invasion of Ukraine by Russia's putin. The loss of over a million Russian men to the invasion doesn't seem to effect the concern of the Russian populace. Now Ukraine is trying another tactic to wake up the Russian people to what putin has brought to reality. The destruction of the logistics of the Russian economy along with continued resource elimination has finally brought the invasion of Ukraine home to the 4 years later now alarmed Russian people. Choices have consequences and the Russian populace is really starting to feel the effect of putin's choices.
     It appalls me that it takes commerce to awaken what should be the human part of the civilization there. They are getting riled not because of the massive death toll in Ukraine but because they are inconvenienced in the daily lives. A real privilege to have compared to the end of so many lives. I have no sympathy for their advantaged plight and wish them continued turmoil until they find the proper balance between horrible death and being put out. The cruelty of their indifference is stark when they cry about not having delivery service for their ease of life.
     I used to think the Russian people were hearty but bullied into submission. I now have come to realize that they are not the victims of a repressive regime, they are the engine of it. The reason putin is not deposed is because he is doing what they want although at the moment not very well. As to Ukraine and it's campaign of survival I wish them all the best in their defense of life and liberty. The bullies of the world need to be crushed by the good forces of tolerance and diversity through democracy. Freedom is not the right to harm others like what Russians are doing instead it is the right to not be harmed. To the Russian people you should realize that your mask has been removed and we now know who you really are! Prove me wrong damn you!

(#6381) Why some are still republican

      The republican party has become synonymous with creatures that have very little to no empathy, despite the contradiction of their good book telling them to love their neighbors. The republican party cherishes the idea that each creatures own personal desires are greater than any harm caused by them. The republican worldview is survival of the fittest even in the modern age of enlightenment and ability to ease suffering. This gunslinger mentality is more idolization than practical but that doesn't stop the republican illusion. Instead of republicans seeing the sun rise and set for all of us they only see the sun rise and set for themselves. The limited boundary of their understanding is easier for them because of their own personal fragilities.
     They mask their fear in bravado hoping no one calls them on their cowardice. It is easier for republicans to bully and strut about as some unfortunate demigod than to actually be of any good service. If no one calls out a republican for their behavior they appear to be somewhat just like normal people, living a normal type life. Yet beneath the surface of their facade is a weakened creature who must always hide their fear of what they are or what they refuse to know about themselves. Instead of embracing the best part of who they are they ignore that and present the false image of angry power. The tunnel vision they live within doesn't allow them the human trait of evolving as person. They negate their progress as beings to firmly settle on the plateau of disingenuousness.
     Those of us who are not republican have already fought the battle of unknowing and have reconciled our victory. We prefer to know who we are so as to evolve into more complete and better people. We learn and debate new concepts as they become known not as a product of fear but as a product of wise growth. We democrats are the bold ones who liken to the good Samaritan. We democrats are the ones who stand tall and fight with noble conviction. Because we democrats understand the purpose of life given our information and knowledge. We human beings are a species of amazing and superlative possibilities. We democrats are not permanently resting in an incomplete journey because we are unable to go forward. We are always going forward as a rule and when rest does occasionally come we appreciate it with all our being.

(#6380) So weary this morning

      I have lately been dealing with a doggie issue and it is coming along better than expected. I didn't expect much but got better results and it is very hopeful. My doggie is a big boy so moving him around is not a task done without expending a lot of energy. I am already very worn out from a Sunday and Tuesday rigorous 100 degree and more workdays so my energy level and lack of sleep from the doggie issue has truly sapped me of most of what I need to feel normal. My home tasks never take a day off so on top of my lately weariness, I have my usual weariness. I am getting older as well and the decreased strength is partly to blame.
     I choose this subject this morning because for the life of me I cannot string a cogent line of reasoning on any other subject. The bone tiredness or weariness also extends to my mental capabilities. There are so many problems in our world I could be bringing up with commentary about why they exist and possibly how to remedy them but I cannot get my brain into gear. All of my body is screaming at me to go lay down and close my eyes. After finishing this post however coherent or incoherent it becomes that is exactly what I am going to do. I have my doggie settled now for at least a few hours so the thought of sleep is actually real.
     I know how I am also. If I don't finish my tasks I cannot rest peacefully so weary or not here I am trying to be informative about reality even if it is my own little corner of it. It is a privilege to be able to slightly complain about my problems when so many others are dealing minute by minute with much worse problems. But at this moment my mind won't let me go any further than what I am doing at this very moment. A massive lethargy that needs it's medicine. I have had to push through times like this so many times in my life before but as my age now demands that with my own personal ailments the desire to push through is senseless. I need to rest now and that is how this blog post will end.

(#6379) Our human species is in trouble

     The idea that basic foundational knowledge is filling the minds of our children is a mirage. I am no brilliant mind but I can add and subtract with some easy efficiency. I can read a book or a paper and not find it too difficult to follow the logic or story. In other words my education was well rounded within ordinary life events. What I am finding is that too many of our younger in the workforce are less adept at configuring, understanding, and rationalizing at basic levels. The reading, writing, and arithmetic of my learning was solid leaving me time to grow into more complex considerations.
     I don't know what the curriculum of our present day teachers are given to teach but it seems to be missing the mark in allowing for critical thinking to form on it's own. Are the students given information that doesn't let them decide if it is good or not? Are they being told what is good and what is not? For me it is kind to let people know when danger is afoot but it is also growth for people to learn to recognize the danger for themselves. We want to advance our children as thinkers in a world of creative innovation, not some bystanders who are clueless as to how to be part of that dynamic. What we shouldn't be teaching is our preferred ideals instead of an open panoramic vision of possibilities.
     I see so much of what is going on around us and how the lack of logic is incorrectly reinforced through opinion. Where the rules of logic are constant and widely accepted worldwide, opinion seems to be so easy to support that it makes logic difficult to break through. Time is always on the side of logic and opinions come and go with changing reality. If we move further from logic then less will make sense. If we move closer to logic then we become more understanding of how our interconnected world works. Logic in basic is premise upon premise analyzed for validity for ascertaining a conclusion. You can count on the conclusion always being the same given the same set of circumstances. That is reliance and we need reliance now more than ever instead of constantly changing opinion!

(#6378) Life is hard enough without trumps making it tougher!

      What will always be beautiful about the democratic party is that our focus will always be on lessening the burden on we the people. Just waking up is disheartening now knowing everyday that we have few options to our day other than the constant heavy burden of our responsibilities. It is soul crushing that just to stay even we sacrifice our time and energy in greater amounts that rip at our hopes and dreams. We have little to no time for our interests that are outside our budgets and meager bank accounts. It is like fools gold to think we can actually get ahead and live life on our terms instead of the terms of our forever growing indebtedness.
     At least with democrats at the helm the future looks brighter because democrats see our struggles and devise concepts to address them. It is more hope from democrats that give us a little bit more in the morning to tackle our day. Because we know from the past that democratic leadership has taken some burdens from our lives. The very same burdens that republicans ignore and instead exacerbate. My example has been consistent over the years in the form of the federal minimum wage. In 2009, we democrats got the federal minimum wage raised to $7.25. Little help from republicans who from listening to some in their party didn't think a minimum wage should be protected at all by law. So pay workers barely nothing if that is how desperate people are for anything by republican thinking.
     The trumps started a war with Iran because trump tore up the peace accord President Obama signed with Iran that was working. Now with trump attacking Iran, American service people are being killed and our allies are dumbfounded by trump's ridiculous and unnecessary war. Prices are going higher because trump didn't understand the dilemma of the Hormuz Strait. At home, so not only is trump trying to eliminate parts of Medicare/Medicaid but he is going after Social Security after the midterms. Well he would need control of Congress to do that and an election in November is when we democrats can stop him from any further harm to we the people of the working middle poor class!

(#6377) The republicans only need 15 more days to hide mcconnell's brain death

      I am almost at the stage of finding this whole situation comical but it is critical to who we are as a nation. Are we a bunch of sheep needing herding or are we each individuals who demand equal representation and truth! 15 more days will likely answer that question. If republicans get their way and hide the condition of mcconnell then they show us that we truly are sheep with them as the cattle dogs herding us wherever they want. If on the other hand we individuals find a way to force the truth of mcconnell's condition out then we will have shown the world that despite the efforts of trump and his acolytes we the people represent America and not this current cabal of filthy creatures.
     15 days is the countdown and for what it is worth I am not sure we the people, who are adamant about us being individuals, will succeed. I say that because over the last 15 days nothing has changed to provide actual proof. It is as if the running clock of time until August 3rd is just a inconsequential marker in time. To me the importance is overwhelming. Allowing the deception to win is akin to lying all the way to the bank. No one should be allowed to deny democracy it's right to the truth! This is the canary in the coal mine and those who think it is just nothing much to worry about are the ones who will eventually collaborate with republicans to lead the sheep once we are neutered of freedom.
     In 15 days, those of us who know just how critical this circumstance is need to find a way to break through the protections trump is surrounding mcconnell with. Be he alive or dead we don't know. Since there is no proof of life except doctored photos we can be reasonably assured mcconnell is dead or at least brain dead. Proving it within the next 15 days is our task and we had better get it done sooner than later. Governor Bashear has in a lukewarm way demanded to be notified of mcconnell's condition but his half hearted effort is not proving to be enough. He knows what the rest of us know he should do and he should raise the stakes to uncover the truth or be saddled as just another plough horse unwilling to go the distance with the race coming to the end.
     

(#6376) Most of us exist within the bounds of normalcy, until we are attacked then all is fair!

      I have been doing a lot of self awareness thinking lately. Because I feel under threat from those who are by their choice mean and cruel. They are not naturally mean and cruel they choose to be. Knowing that I am finding my responses to their actions and words not only uncivilized but uncharacteristic of my grounded nature. Being curious about everything and also caring about everyone. Well not curious about everything exactly nor caring about everyone exactly but close enough. Instead I find myself angry and full of revenge type retribution to those who go out of their way to harm.
     I have this anger within me that is triggered by the creatures who harm. I can't say it is a good thing but I know it is real. So trying to figure out how to associate my feelings with how the law and social norms are handled is not easy for me. I want vengeance as an effect for the cause of their despicable behavior. Now I know that is me and not the whole of everyone but I am the only one who is responsible to me. So I must decide how I go about my anger and the justice it seeks. I am not deserving of anything I know that. However I am no laid back dude who lets the worst of us dominate the best of us. Something will need to be done not only for my own sanity but for fairness and justice to be served.
     Like with Luigi Mangione, he followed his sense of justice and committed the grave sacrifice as a vigilante. Not all of us are that motivated to express ourselves in that way. However he did and now the rest of the world is aware that such things happen. What drove him to such an act is understandable when the laws of our nation are not applied to those most prone to harm us. I get it! The causse and effect principle still applies though. Luigi will pay for his act despite the sympathy some may feel for his motive. I would prefer to channel my anger into a more acceptable action like strikes, marches, and voting. If the day ever came though when nothing we would legally do could save our democracy then the will to survive side of me would perk up!

(#6375) trump doesn't trade on policy, he trades on power!

      The fact that trump doesn't truthfully talk about his policies to help the American citizenry and instead tries to scare everyone is proof that he is not a representative of our American society. I didn't watch his bullshit session last night but I got the narrative of it. He knows he is doing terribly with we American citizens so he is trying to salvage his current presidential advantage of having the Congress in his hip pocket. So fear tactics and outright lies are his playbook. I for one cannot fathom the intent he is charging full steam ahead to implement. He is 80 years old and should be gardening or relaxing by the pool. Instead he wants to overturn our democracy for some perceived slight he may have experienced? I am guessing here!
     I suspect though that instead of gardening or relaxing by the pool he knows he is in a world of hurt when it comes to criminality. So possibly he is revenging his anger on we the people. Still just spitballing here. Whatever the cause is, the effect is troubling to rational people who are as clueless to his intent as I am. He tried to bully the international stage and so far it is failing. For a while it worked but then the rest of the world caught onto his act. We here in America and catching onto his act but will it save us from his determination to obstruct the coming election? That is the big question this morning. Do we sane Americans have enough clout now to destroy his coming rig of our elections?
     There are 108 days left before the midterm election on November 3rd. What can we do in these last 108 days to help to preserve our democracy? We can all who are eligible make sure we are legally registered to vote. We can join in on any marches and/or protests happening around us all over the country. We can call our representatives and demand that our states be protected from federal interference. We, every one of us, who are eligible to vote must have a plan to vote. No one sits this out because of some inconvenience. If we lose our democracy in the next 108 days the inconvenience will seem foolish because once our democracy is gone there is no getting it back in our lifetimes!
     

(#6374) Have no about it, trump is the head of the poisonous snake!

      I am only human. I try to be the best human I can be but I fail when it comes to the deserved destiny for trump. He is a simpleton and fragile minded egotist but the depths of his disdain and depravity are bottomless. I would otherwise feel some pity for people like him but he is beyond that from me. Which is why I fail sometimes at being the best human I can be. Some people are born into this world only to be dispatched with hoped for extreme emergency. He is that type along with putin and netanyahu. No sympathy from me nor remorse from me hoping their ends are immediate. With trump the poison of his politics stops with him.
     None of his sucker fish acolytes can match his nefarious inclinations. He is the all in all when it comes to the destructive maga movement. Once he is severed from the republican party the damage that is left cannot be pieced together by growing a new head. The snake will slither around with no sense to it's movements except to die. That is my conclusion to the whole debacle we are facing. With the health of trump being hidden, as it must be deadly serious, we may be closer to the head of the snake closing its eyes for the final time. How that makes me feel is what bothers me a little bit. But not enough to make me feel less human. The good of the many is greater than the good of the one kind of logic.
     I am sad in a way when any human dies. No matter the devilry they embraced. Because in the final analysis we are all human and what any of us does reflects on all of us. So in that sense trump will get at least an acknowledgement from me that although human he was in contradiction with the better and best traits we all humans have as our choices to live. His choices are what appalls me and his ending will actually cause a relief within me. We all go sometime and he has lived 80 years so he cannot say he didn't have enough time to get his life correct. He did and didn't choose to do it. So as a bonus as it were, the trump ending will be agreeable with me and the death throes of the republican party that embraced him will suffer their choices just as gravely!

(#6373) We the people need to take turns carrying each other!

      Every day that goes by is another assault on our liberty by trumps. The daily grind of it all is at times both grueling and oppressive. I know for myself this daily attack on our liberty to be free and egalitarian as it is leaves me with little strength left to employ on my necessary daily duties. The relentless onslaught of trump saps the energy right out of me and makes me want to give up and find peace somewhere else. But that is just a fleeting thought. However, it does describe in an accurate way just how overwhelming trump can be since he is desperate and scared. I do my best to overcome my trump induced lethargy but not always am I successful.
     Which is why we need each other for support. Some days I cannot engage in defending our democracy the way I would normally because my mental fatigue is dominant. Normally I shrug off the lack of energy and produce some anyway from deep within my marrow. But age is another factor now. I cannot summon the will to grind on when my physical ability is sorely weakened. I have to take some time to replenish my energy so as to continue to fight at the level I expect of myself. This isn't a pity party this is just being real. So when I see others out there doing the good trouble of defending and attacking those who would subject us I am encouraged and grateful. I see you and what you are doing to help we the people.
     If I had my druthers I would be relentless in my defense of our democratic society. But my druthers notwithstanding I must now allocate time to recharge as a strategy so as not to weaken myself and cause myself serious burnout. The battle we the people are having with the trumps is real and on every front in our lives. For those who fight with trump I despise you with all my being. For those of we the people who fight against trump I am humbled and honored to fight along side you. I wish I had more fight within me but what there is within me you will have all of it. We the people will win out against trump and his acolytes but not yet and the battle rages on with all of us doing what we can to survive and become victorious.

(#6372) Call a special election in Kentucky!

      When a sitting US Senator is medically unable to contact anyone outside his handlers then the obvious act is to replace him. Make the sitting US Senator reach out personally to inform the powers that be in charge of having a functioning US Senator representing Kentucky. The old saying of ask for forgiveness instead of asking for permission axiom. If the sitting US Senator is fine then he will proactively contact the Governor, who in this case is the power that is in charge of replacing him if he isn't available to function. Put the onus on the sitting US Senator instead of possibly being duped by the sitting US Senator's handlers.
     The handlers keep trying, unsuccessfully, to imitate proof of life from the Senator in question. After trying to be professional about learning the health of the incapacitated Senator the fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me axiom comes into play. The handlers have already made fools of themselves so surely the Governor will not let them make of fool of himself. So forcing an election to begin will make sure that if the Senator is functioning he will physically produce the evidence through an in person meeting with the Governor. That should prove to be satisfactory. The sitting US Senators handlers cannot be allowed to control the narrative of how the law works to replace an incapacitated Senator.
     Why would the Senator's handlers want to slow walk the physical reporting of their Senator? Because if he is incapacitated then a special election must be called if before August 3rd. The handlers don't want that special election to occur as it would hurt heir chances of maintaining that seat and deny the handlers the opportunity to control who should run for the seat in November. There is nothing mysterious here about the motive of the handlers. What is highly suspicious is the denial they keep extending about the real medical condition of the sitting US Senator. Enough with the shell game republicans! I urge the Kentucky Governor to call the special election and then let only the Senator respond if he is able.

(#6371) The passion of the democratic party is undeniable!

     For those who think that we should ignore our passion I have one thing to say to you! You will be ignored! My passion fuels my curiosity so I need to be unchained from sitting on my hands and keeping my mouth shut! As the highest priority in my life, needing to know is what drives my existence. With our democratic party there are many who would rather not create waves when faced with controversy. They would rather ride out storms of chaos by sitting idly by and allowing the force of the emotion to dissipate on its own. They don't like creating waves and instead prefer the calm of ignorance to the whirligig of processes designed to find fact!
     I am no back seat bench sitter. I am in the fray of what stirs my principles and honor to activate. If falsehoods and misrepresentations in the guise of lies inundate our social conscience then I will not sit idly by like too many who are gun shy or once bit twice frightened. I have heard more than enough times directly not to question democrats about things that may help republicans. Well let me say this about that. I am aware of what shooting ourselves in the foot is all about but if a benign question triggers a scaredy cat response then that is ridiculous. If we democrats are wrong on an action or behavior then we need to address it. No one looking in at our party will want to be part of a cowering willful strategy to ignore.
     We democrats are the movers and shakers of our society. The only thing republicans have shown to care about is to rein in our democratic efforts to improve society for all of us. We democrats care about all of us and want life to be about pursuing our happiness without doing harm. It is our nature to be emotional when one of us is being singled out and harmed for no other reason than some difference than what republicans claim to be within their biased and discriminatory manifesto. We democrats on the other hand have our manifest destiny literally tied up in our constitution. In our bill of rights. In our egalitarian approach to solutions that look to improve not diminish. Our emotion drives us to want to know and that should never be stifled to quiet our curiosity for fact and truth!
