126 days left until the election (#4168)

Today marks 18 weeks left until the election. I keep telling myself these little molestones on the way to the voting booth are important to note because we are winding down to the most important day in the lives of way too many of us. For so long it was all about how we were going to be destroyed by trump starting from his first day. That long time ago seems like an eternity now and that is okay because those of us who are still here are still here. 126 days is a drop in the bucket compared to the well over a thousand days we have already endured. Endured is the right adjective because I am so damn weary from it but nonetheless undeterred.
Yesterday we found out that trump was briefed orally by walrus bolton way back in March of 2019 about the russian assassination scheme aimed at killing American and coalition troops. So his defense told by his press secretary yesterday that he wasn't briefed in February of 2020 has all the earmarks of a loousy attempt to lie. He knew and decided that doing nothing was in his best interests.  So his coverup is now another despicable act however not as bad as his letting American troops die without trying to protect them. this is no shock to me becasue I have known all along that trump is a selfish bottom feeder who would sacrifice anyone and anything if it gave him a personal advantage.
We should see some movement today from the courts on his taxes but I don't hold out much hope that we will get the decision we want. Yet Chief Justice Roberts may still end up on a 5-4 decision siding with liberals and rule that trump must turn over his tax returns. Becuase Roberts, although conservative. is trying to salvage his legacy and surely he won't destroy his reputation for a traitorous conman like trump but then again he probably will. I will close now and go check out the decisions of the court and some vote totals that are due in Kentucky later today.

127 days left until the election (#4167)

I used to think that trump's lies were the worst thing about him but deep down I knew he was lying for a deeper crime. Well last Friday we got a bit of revelation about what those lies entailed. Too many of us already had few doubts that trump was controlled by Russia because of all the favors he did for putin that went against the grain of American interests. With the secret conversations and never a bad word against the troubling moves Russia was making it became obvious to us that trump was beholden in some way that he would not let us find out about.
Well with this latest revelation that putin put out ransoms on the killing of American soldiers among others by freelance mercenaries we are starting to get the picture that there isn't anything despicable to trump when it comes to his duties to our nation. He has allowed, as is being currently reported, American soldiers to have been killed so that putin could exact some revenge for some sleight that at this point is conjecture. Let me reiterate that. American soldiers were allowed to be killed by trump because he failed to protect them by confronting putin and forcing him to back down. That putin has something on trump is getting dammed obvious if trump is allowing our soldiers to be sacrificed so that putin can claim some vengeance.
Let me remind you also that Russia with putin in charge is the greatest enemy that America has in the world and for trump to be beholden to him is grounds for charges of treason. Now my accusations are at this point only logical and not necessarily provable in this moment in time but time marches on and questions will be asked of the many who know the bits and pieces of this latest trump betrayal. We the American people will get to the bottom of this and the truth will come out. Those who help trump hide this now will also suffer the same fate trump does when the final story of this is told. 127 days until the election but right now we have bigger fish to fry in reference to traitorous acts with deathly results.

128 days left until the election (#4166)

The endgame for trump. He will be shown to have lied about not getting informed about the Russian plot to assassinate American and coalition troops and then his presidency is essentially over. The republican senate side of things is somehow culpable as well but this will fall mainly on trump and destroy any chance for him to continue as the appointed president. Not even the republican base will tolerate this scenario and a groundswell that is already building will become so intense that trump will have no other option than to get out while he can. It wouldn't surprise me if he snuck out of town to a country where there are no extradition laws with America.
This will be the last and very heavy straw that broke the camels back. By refusing to act against the deathly intention of our clear adversary trump has shown that his cowardice from his youth in evading his duty to enroll in our armed forces during war has stayed with him. The president of the United States has one very huge duty above all else, protect our troops that are in harms way. Yet what we know of trump it is very unreasonable to expect him to protect our troops when he can make a buck off of it. That is now more clear than ever that trump truly has committed the crime of treason.
How our shocked and shaken world proceeds here in america will be played out over the next several days and even the buffering media will have no choice but to investigate this story and reveal it's contents. The coverup has already begun but too little too late as the story broke before the trumps were informed and all those actors who were involved are now ready targets for questioning. There is no coming back from this or sweeping this under the rug now despite the uncomfortableness of the subject and the damage this will do to the American reputation. Reality dictates here not any false narrative that hides the facts. We have more than shamed ourselves through this appointed president and enough is damn well enough!

129 days left until the election (#4165)

That trump let Russia contract to kill our soldiers in Afghanistan is the news from yesterday. For this he should be forced out and made to pay dearly for any contract that was paid from Russia to anyone for any death of an American soldier. The Audacity of trump to allow his favorite guy putin to kill our brave soldiers is beyond compromise. The forces that be within the American government who do not act on removing trump now will become complicit when trump is no longer in power so even those republican cowards who have been licking trumps boots had better find the courage to stand up for democracy because there will be no escape from the deserves that are coming.
Treason and traitor are two words that are appropriate for what trump has done by not protecting our troops https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/27/russia-offered-bounties-afghanistan-militants-killing-us-soldiers-report-outrage. His obvious cowardice is full front and center now and any hope of his re-appointment is now gone. He has effectively destroyed any defense he had thought he could use through lies and disinformation because there is one sacred duty he had and that was to protect our troops. This has shocked me to my core that a president of the United States would let a dictator like putin, who is a sworn enemy of democracy, the free space to kill Americans. The republican party now has it's duty to drop all support for this appointed president and immediately demand his resignation.
It was in March of this year that trump was given a "menu" of options to choose from to respond to putin's actions and trump has done none of them to date. How many American soldiers were killed since then and how much money has putin laid out for the deaths? I cannot for the life of me understand how such a cowardly person ever became our appointed president yet here we are seeing it in real time. The very many of us know trump is beholden to putin for something that given trump's character can only be nefarious in nature. Because of that American lives were put into peril.

130 days until the election (#4164)

Today marks another grouping of ten days that has passed. 130 days left which means now only 13 groups of ten days left before blue wave election comes around. I am almost getting giddy but I know better from the last time in 2016 when we should have had Hillary Clinton as our president. Regardless though because now we have a real shot at not only removing trump but also just as importantly regaining majority control of the senate. Our hard work is leading us to our destination but the hard work is not done. If this were a sporting event it would be like we are piling on the score and that is not something that is respected in the sporting world.
However, I remember a college football game from not too long ago where Washington State had a big lead on UCLA late in the game and UCLA came storming back for one of the greatest upsets of modern college football. So it is with that firmly front in center of my mind that I resolve every day of the 130 days left to do all I can to make the score so huge right up until the actual voting day. When the votes are being cast is when I will raise my head from the hard work and catch a new breath of goodness and freedom from the absurd. 13 more blocks of ten days left and for those who like it in weeks it is just a day more than 18 1/2 weeks.
All this to say that when we were first given the appointed trump I knew that even thinking about the next election was a far off dream. Well that light at the end of the tunnel is not a pinprick anymore but instead a wide open gap just waiting for us to come out of. Soon enough it will happen but in the meantime let us continue to build our momentum toward a truly incredible day on November 3rd. The stagger toward the light has been grueling and often full of stumbles but we never gave up or in to the hellscape machinations of trump and his republican cabal. Here's to us keeping our stalwart vigil and sentinel purpose of removing trump and his acolytes with a single focused ambition!

131 days until the election (#4163)

Well I woke up in a piss poor mood this morning and although you wouldn't know it by looking at me I am still seething inside from not just one thing but many. The trumps have gotten under my skin such that anyone who is family or not is getting an eyeful when they cross the boundaries of normalcy. I am not talking about disagreements on things that can have differences, I am talking about facts that are ignored so that fantasy can become fact. I am just fucking tired of the stupidity of it all. I am no genius by any stretch of the imagination but I can at least apply logic as a tool to understand truth from fiction. Not so with too many who cross my path.
I have spent a lifetime trying to isolate myself from the stupid but it seems that there is no place on Earth where the stupid doesn't reside. Being stupid is a choice. I know because when I was lazy and wanted to be intelligent I used to use shortcuts to make myself appear smarter than I was. Using other people's arguments as if they were my own. Only accepting evidence, shaky or not, that fit my opinion. Pretending to understand things just so I could get by in order to gain some advantage. Yes, I used to be a lazy asshole who felt that I was too important to have to do the hard work of learning myself enough facts to make my own conclusions.
So when I run into someone who I used to be like I can spot them a mile away. Instead of me embarrassing myself with phony arguments and illogical reasoning, I got to work to improve my mind with learning knowledge the old fashioned way, by not cheating. I forced myself to spend the time reading the reasoning and analysis before coming to a conclusion. Even then I was careful to word my responses with care and understanding. It isn't enough to be a hard cold fact producer it is also important to know the human effect facts have on us. A bedside manner if you will although I will still kick ass when it is appropriate! At least I am part of the knowledgeable community now and not some interloper who seeks recognition that is not deserved.

132 days until the election (#4162)

Less than 10% of we Americans have been tested for the Covid-19. And trump wants less testing. Do you understand how utterly callous and uncaring he is toward the many of us? He gets his test everyday and that is good enough for him while the rest of us are shit out of luck. Do you still not understand why the greater majority of us cannot wait until he is out of our presidency and preferably behind bars? The presidency is for those who would lead our nation, not ransack it for his own selfishness! 132 days is a bit of time but we started out about 1400 days with him. So in the bigger picture his time is nearing its end.
Not only will we remove him and his horrible children from running our government but it is likely we will also remove the obstruction in the senate in the form of a republican majority. What is most despicable about the republican senate is that they are in lockstep with trump and mcconnell most all times. They have abdicated their own voices in order to kneel to trump. Their strategy of not upsetting the monster who is trump will not be kind to them when the voting time comes. The republican party had a decent chance of holding the senate a few months ago but now the tide has turned on them and democrats are favored to win the senate.
You can point to one particular theme as the reason the republicans will lose the senate and that is because they crumbled in the face of the bully trump. I find it rather telling that the many of us who could have really been hurt by trump threats persisted nonetheless while those who had little to lose in the senate were the ones who cowered. Well that is about to change with the Tsunami like blue wave that is coming in this next election despite any voter suppression and tampering the trump cabal may initiate. The end is drawing near for them and it will be an end that is justifiably deserved!

133 days until the election (#4161)

Nothing new on the cat front but I will be going to the shelter to see if they do have my cat this afternoon. They open just after noon. Anyway in the rest of life today is a big day in Kentucky where the primary is being held. The big problem there is the closing of polling stations in predominately black areas. However, because of Covid-19, absentee voting has been made available so to offset the blatant voter obstruction the citizens of Kentucky had a chance to avoid going out at all by requesting ballots either on line or in person. Let us hope that the absentee voting will well offset any long lines for disadvantaged voters.
The obvious ploy by republicans for this election is to limit voter access to the polls. They have no message that resonates with the working middle poor class. It is unfortunate that the republican party has thrown the good of our society away in order for them to advance their own causes. This isn't a winner take all society. We serve the populace and when we stop serving the populace is when we become disposable. Thus that is what must happen in this election. No republican should see their time in public office extended beyond November and as well no new republican candidates should get a vote from any self respecting voter.
But this election isn't just about what is damnable about the republican party. It is also about the hope of the democratic vision. When we reclaim power in November expect to see a drastic change in how our government views our society. The working middle poor class will be at the forefront of our discussions. Our planet will again become a priority. Our relations with our traditional allies will be mended and our adversaries had better retreat to whatever safe harbor they can find prior to trump. Leadership will become our nation's battle cry as we democrats resume the mantle of intelligence and humility. We are not a perfect political party but we actually do try to be. When the dust settles from this coming election a new hope for a better world will become more than a hope, it will become a reality.

134 days until the election (#4160)

Nothing much going on in my head this morning except the status of my cat that went missing about 4 weeks ago. I was checking the lost and found at the local animal shelter again this morning and from what I can see from a picture it is real close to looking like my cat Betsy. The picture is fuzzy so trying to get a more precise detailed look is difficult but the general look is of her. They list her age at about 2 years which is what Betsy is but they didn't give the gender or note if she was spay or not. They also didn't say whether she had a chip which could likely rule this cat out since Betsy is chipped but I have heard things about chips moving around in the animals so it isn't for sure it isn't her.
Yet with the trump disabling of our society no one is at the shelter this morning and it is closed to walk in visitors. But tomorrow it is open after noon and if they haven't responded to my email by then asking for further information I will go out and drive to their location and put eyeballs on this cat myself. What bothers me or has me unsettled is that I want to know and there is no one I can talk to about her if it is her. The cat could be a he and why they couldn't say in the information they released is another bothering aspect. But I will do what I have to in hopes that it is her and bring her back to her family. Where they found this cat was quite a ways away but given that I border the creek that comes from the area where the cat was found gives me hope also that she could have made her way there along the creek side.
Anyway, hope for the best and expect the worst is my adopted mantra. I have thought several times about how Betsy must have met an unfortunate end because even though she was a feral kitty the first couple months of her life she always came home for her food and to sleep before venturing out on some adventure. A day at the most would she be gone and for her to be gone this long, 4 weeks, is not good. Yet she has a spirit about her and still has feral instincts so my best hope was she met up with a feral colony and joined in. I will find out soon enough here and hopefully tomorrow I will have some good news.

135 days until the election (#4159)

Our reason for being isn't to just make a safe harbor and hide in it. We are human beings who have massive abilities to do whatever we can imagine. Maybe not today or tomorrow but certainly out into the future where our limits are only bounded by our lack of effort and desire. The unknown is something that is just waiting to be discovered and we as humans are the only ones who can make it so. We have five senses that help us to accumulate and understand. We have physical attributes that make us adaptable to differing challenges. We have mental capabilities that create opportunities for us to expand into otherwise deadly environments.
I am no comfort seeker who sees nothing else as worthy. I may take comfort at times but it isn't a destination for me. It is just a pause along the way of my own quest to discover. Knowing the unknown is my quest in life and the highest priority of why I am alive. So when I see other humans who cannot have enough of the limited resources available it makes me unsettled and disappointed in their misguided understanding of their own nature. We are as humans similar to the probes we send out into space to record or analyze date. We ourselves are biological data processors that not only acquire data but we then use our functioning minds to reason, analyze, and conclude varying facts and truths.
We are not like Jaba the Hut in the Star Wars series who just sits in one place to be entertained. We are greater than that! Our diverse and unique nature, under the umbrella of the survival instinct, give us care and curiosity. With both care and curiosity we are able to not only find happiness but we also find purpose. A manifest destiny not tied to geography but to ideas and possibilities. Who we were as a species in the past is not who we are now given the advancement of enlightenment and knowledge. Our evolution into a species that no longer sees the world as our boundary now demands that we move out into that space and time paradigm that is full of what we don't now but yearn to find.

136 days until the election (#4158)

Well it will be a busy day in Tulsa Oklahoma. Not only with trump's cult gathering this evening, but continued celebration from Junteenth, and a 1000 black person 2nd amendment armed march. No doubt that the national guard is already on standby will help keep opposing groups from interacting but there is no guarantee that the whole thing may just blow sky high. I don't think so but I would be naive to think it can't happen. There is also the clusterfuck of last night's mishandling by AG barr trying to oust a US attorney. This administration is one failed attempt after another in trying to do the simple things like tie their shoe laces.
The chaos coming from trump's administration is a sure sign that they are scrambling to put together anything cohesive coming into the heart of the general election season. Down heavily in all major polls and even finding themselves vulnerable in long held bastions of conservative ideology. The Covid-19 outbreaks all over America are also highlighting just how ill prepared the trump administration is at coordinating an effective response. The strategy is now for them to just ignore the virus and hope it goes away. The problem with that is the virus has only one purpose for it's existence and that is to spread itself into as many hosts as it can. So not only will trump find himself facing another disaster in the weeks to come but he will fall even further behind in the general election polls with only 136 days to go.
As he is today ready to put over 19,000 souls at risk of catching the virus it is certain that his strategy of ignoring the virus is in full swing. He has another cult gathering for Arizona later this coming week and if he is anything at all like he is today they themselves will find him as the chief spreader of death and ill health. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that trump would cavalierly destroy his own re-appointment chances. Yet that is exactly what he is doing and for what it is worth Biden will be the beneficiary. The remarkable turn of events will sadly see so many unnecessary deaths yet that is the outcome of the fanatics who will not see trump for the greedy selfish carnival barking liar he is.

137 days until the election (#4157)

The push for trump to begin his cult gatherings is too much for him to ignore. Even in the face of a pandemic and given the location the history of violence against black folks. The tension he highlights at his cult gatherings will bring out the worst of his racist followers because they don't care about science and logic. They will come gladly and flaunt their ignorance as a badge while the citizens of Tulsa have to put up with their antics and virus spreading interactions in town. Because these trump cultists still need to shop and hotel/motel somewhere. I feel bad for the townspeople who are not trump cult followers.
All they can do is probably close down their operations and sit out the shit storm that is coming tomorrow. As to counter protests trump has already warned counter protesters that they are fair game for being handled roughly. So much for dissent and opposition guaranteed by our constitution. This is going to be a real eye opener for any independents who are still undecided. Another news break is the trump administration going after the dreamers again after a tweet from trump this morning confirming it. He is one of the worst optics guys I have ever seen. He cannot help himself from doing things at the worst possible time but that is who he is and we will make him pay for all his bravado.
So now the dreamers who were in a happy but tempered mood yesterday are now less happy and more concerned today about how the timeline for another Supreme Court ruling will take place. If trump can get his new appeal decided to end DACA before the election he will surely do his worst. If after the election it will be close as to if he can get a ruling before he leaves office after being soundly defeated in November. I will do more research on this and try to get a timeline as to the extremes. All I know now is that trump is going after latin/hispanic kids during the run up to the election and it cannot help him with anyone other than those who could care less like his rock bottom base.

138 days left until the election (#4156)

Several more hits to the flailing trump strategy to make himself appear to be of value. This morning the unemployment numbers came in over 1.5 million more workers filed for unemployment this week. Making it 13 weeks in a row that over 1 million workers filed for unemployment. That trump can continue to claim to be a great business man is getting more unbelievable by the moment. With states already being short on funds for their unemployed it is also becoming quite clear that if republicans keep denying another round of stimulus payments our whole economy may well lead to more civil unrest.
The other hit trump took this morning was the supreme court ruling that for now DACA remains the law of the land. Surely trump thought that bringing an end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, DACA, would happen when he got his nominees through to the supreme court. Yet it appears he has misjudged Chief Justice Roberts. As Roberts sided with the other 4 more liberal justices in keeping these children within our society. It must rankle trump that even when he does have a majority conservative high court he cannot seem to get his policy demands implemented. Apparently Justice Roberts is more concerned with what is correct and good along with his own legacy than to becoming just another puppet for trump to pull out when it is convenient.
I still have many problems with Roberts but he is showing himself to be a real swing vote on several issues. No doubt trump will be after his head on this one but that old lifetime protection these justices have is too much a barrier for trump to overcome. All in all this weeks court decisions are playing out against trump and we are still awaiting decisions on his personal finances. This week and/or the following week may be the straw that breaks the Camel's back if the high court can keep trump on the hook for his previous ill dealings as adjudged by lower courts. All in all the last bit of trump's tenure as the appointed president is going downhill much like his approval ratings. I say yippee i o ki yay!

139 days until the election (#4155)

A true test of wills. Who will blink first in the trump versus the rest of us battle? I know that at times it is truly difficult to keep a strong combative stance against the relentless trump onslaught but if we don't we will find that he will sneak in again and for many of us that is just not to be allowed. So when those less than vigilant times hit us we must dismiss them and regain our focus. The days left for trump are dwindling so the end of his appointed presidency is coming and that in itself is a small signal for us to remember. I say all this because as I sat here this morning trying to get my mind engaged in the fight to win back our democracy I found that I was really mentally tired and was allowing my mind to drift and wander.
But I thought about how we would not be as prepared as we need to be over these last 139 days and it ht me between the eyes that all those other days behind us from when he was first installed were much much longer ago so being tired now is correct but not an excuse. Feeling the weariness is natural but giving in to the weakness of it is not a virtue but instead a detriment. There is nothing in this world more important to me other than the lives of those who depend on me than making sure there is not a repeat of 2016. I remember how hopeful I was going into that election night on November 8th and how our world would be improving exponentially with our first woman as president.
But that is not what happened and the crushing feeling I had on November 8th, 2016 was beyond devastating to me, and surely for many others as well. Since then I had hoped trump would change his pre-election night stances but that hope was quickly dashed. So instead of wallowing in the omnipresent despair, I got busy in opposing this appointed president and watched that opposition from I and millions of others turn into victories in the state elections in 2017, victories in the mid term elections in 2018, and now as the opposition to trump has ever increased to what is shaping up to be a landslide victory over trump come November 3rd. Moments of tiredness are to me now just reminders that I am about to turn that tiredness into something truly wonderful.

140 days until the election (#4154)

Today marks another block of ten days down and also we start the weekly countdown as there are now 20 weeks to go. I kinda like the block of ten because it seems shorter but soon enough the weekly countdown will surpass the 10 block countdown and as an evolved human being I will change my mind. lol. Regardless, another block of ten down and only 14 more blocks of ten to go. Yesterday I posted about the gay rights constitutional protection challenge that was defeated and that was great news for all Americans. Why you may ask? Simply because when we stop rights for some of us all of us are next in danger of losing rights, per a slippery slope analysis.
Some other news as well from the courts yesterday that came in after I posted. The challenge to California's sanctuary city law was denied when the high court refused to adjudicate the challenge. Another win for residents of California, and for that matter throughout the United States, who are having trouble with their legality. As well the high court refused to hear numerous 2nd Amendment challenges to state laws that restricted gun ownership, among other restrictions. So quite a banner day yesterday coming from a conservative majority court who could have ignored the legal principle of stare decisis and how it effects precedent. Just enough republicans sided with all democrats to make yesterday a bit wonderful.
We are also seeing something strange with how trump is behaving with his health. Nothing new here this morning but it is obvious that he is failing in something relating to a health issue. We are more than halfway through June now and the anticipation is really mounting for a tremendous blue wave election. It doesn't seem to matter what trump does he cannot get out ahead of any of our current crisis' and in fact seems to be falling further behind. His cult gathering scheduled for this coming weekend has all the earmarks of not only being contentious and angry but also deadly with infections from Covid-19. All told trump is quickly digging a big hole from which he has little to no hope of climbing out of.

141 days until the election (#4153)

This morning was a banner day for individuals who were fired from their jobs based solely on their sexual orientation. The Supreme Court voted 6-3 to uphold the section of the Civil Rights Act that covered this right. Which to me is somewhat of a surprise because the far right majority court has had a habit of denying rights that should otherwise seem obvious. This now gives me some hope that the voting rights cases that will be before this court will be adjudicated with a little bit more objectivity and deference to our constitution and not the subjective narrative of the republican party to maintain obstructing voting practices.
That is another issue but for now the right of all who are orientated toward the pursuit of their happiness in their gender identity and the love they feel for whomever is protected in the workplace from firing solely based upon that identity and love. That it even had to be adjudicated shows how dysfunctional our society has become but that it was adjudicated correctly is now a hope that our worst is behind us. Each of us has a right to be who we are and love who we love. Life is not some cookie cutter image that some would have us tied to. The days of confining our characteristics and behaviors to social orders that have nothing to do with freedom or liberty should be over.
As the trump debacle is slowing winding down with a tsunami like opposition to him this decision is just another clue that our blue wave is rising and the outcome of this election in November will be absolute. Not only will trump be defeated but a vast array of sitting republican senators will lose as well. We are formidable we opposition to trump and are not in any mood to temper our anger against him and his republican acolytes when the voting time comes. It is early this morning still so maybe some more good news will happen today. I know tomorrow is another milestone day that I am looking forward to writing about based upon the time left until we are back to a more caring and intelligent America.

142 days until the election (#4152)

One hundred and forty two days is not a real long but it is a bit of time. So with yesterday trump seemingly less than normal in his health I have to wonder if he will actually survive the coming campaign season. Whether he is suffering nerve damage and or weakening muscle action it is up to debate but something irregular is going on with him that he is not being open about. There were the rumors of sexually transmitted diseases and habitual drug use and if my guess were anything I would say that some combination of both may be at play. Especially the drug usage. It has been a long haul for him as today he is a year older into his now mid seventies so some kind of physical breakdown from drug abuse would be expected to show.
All I know is that he is being not only erratic in his physical behavior but in his mental acuteness as well. I never thought much of his ability to rationalize but it seems even simple problems are giving him pause. His advisers seem to be carrying him with their outlook on reality and he is just going along with them because they actually do reflect much of what he spews. It will be noteworthy to keep him under view as we go forward, something I dread to suggest since he isn't much to learn from or admire. Yet what could be his withering away from his own core might become a real problem in many ways. Not only for his own safety to himself but largely to our safety from him.
He will be a one and done appointed president of that I am in no doubt but what he could do to us as he is defeated is my concern. If need be we have to have every resource available to us to protect us from our own folly in the White House. Those who are close to him may see this time as an advantage for themselves and act accordingly beyond his grasp. The institutions we have in place that are still functioning at somewhat a constitutional paradigm must be vigilant if the need arise to assume greater control from a ill functioning appointed president. I may be wrong and hopefully I am because what devil we know in this case is much better for us than a devil we have no idea about this close to an all important election.

143 days until the election (#4151)

Well a day can make a difference. First trump said yesterday that he wanted to give a speech on Junteenth to commemorate the anniversary of freedom from slavery. Well knowing trump the opposite is more likely true. He just didn't realize the conflict of the date for his cult gathering because he has no historical significance of important dates in our history that don't involve white only celebrations. So instead of admitting that he had no clue he had scheduled his cult for that day he finally woke up to the fact that he had to change the gathering to the next day. It wasn't because he was honoring Junteenth, no, it was because he didn't want push back from his own party. Because, as we are seeing they are not as asshole crazy as he is on some issues.
Because if there is one soul on this planet left that doesn't understand that trump only does stuff if he can benefit from, then I am insane. Anyway, whether I am insane or not is for another time. :) But trump has finally calculated, that he will lose more than gain from his carnival barking hate mongering dog whistles if he keeps the Junteenth anniversary date. So the next day now in Tulsa he will spew his vile nature out to his rabid followers and he won't have to be critiqued against the backdrop of Junteenth and the Tulsa massacre of black folks. It is bad enough what he does at his cult gatherings and especially now with the Covid-19 virus still in play having kicked the black race too was finally too much for his advisers.
Today though he will be out working to pollute the minds of our young West Point graduates as a fuck you to the rest of us who want to keep politics out of our military. Normally a commencement speech is welcome from a caring distinguished leader of objective principles but we don't have that with the straw boy trump. His hollow empathy and belligerent character is a sure sign that he could care less about these young future military leaders but their is something to be gained and he does like shiny pretty things. Hopefully he won't massacre the moment, although I have little hope he won't. Suffice it to say if this is the worst he does today it will be a respite and any pause in his acts and behaviors for the next 143 days will be welcomed.

144 days until the election (#4150)

The trump election strategy is in full view now. He will not try to bring us together but instead he will do everything he can to separate us into two groups. Those who are for him and those who are not worthy of life. If anyone thought he might moderate his rhetoric and try to fake being a leader of all then they are going to be disappointed. What trump thinks he can do is by turning us against each other he can build up his side as a victor thus scaring many to join him so as not to being punished. Fear is the trump hole card and he is playing it now right up until the election. Forgive me for not being afraid of trump as I have already survived the worst he has got and anything less than a total blowout of his chances would be a disappointment for me.
I don't like being bullied especially from a coward like trump. If he thinks he can force me to do what he wants he will find me as no one to bother with. So even if he does force the rest of us to vote for him I will never do it and then come what may. But what has happened over the last few years is that trump has thickened our hides so much that his scare tactics are pretty much useless on too many of us. We many have had our necks stuck out for too long and if he was going to sever us from our heads he would have already done so. But he hasn't so instead of his attempt to bully another election appointment from us he will find that we are ready to tar and feather him and throw him out of town.
Sadly we will see trump at his cult gathering in exactly a week on Juneteenth, June 19th, give a rallying cry for hate and division in Tulsa Oklahoma, where the worst of what white people did to black people occurred.a little over 100 years ago, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_massacre. He will revel in his racism and hatred and stir up further animosity. That anyone would think that trump is a healer would be foolish. He only wants to win and is unconscionable about his methods. He feels no guilt or remorse for putting other people through hell and if truth be told he rather enjoys it. But like I said earlier here, we are immune to his false bravado and when the voting time comes he won't feel the sting because he is incapable of feeling, but he will know that he has been cast aside in a way that makes no doubt of it.

145 days until the election (#4149)

Significant events happened yesterday. Both the NFL, which conceded kneeling during the anthem will be acceptable, and Nascar, which will now ban confederate flags from their races and properties. Four years ago I was worried when I saw all the trump ads on Nascar and appeared to secure their votes. I bothered me that I saw no Clinton ads. Same with the NFL being courted by trump while Clinton was devoid connection. I still thought Hillary was going to win and was devastated when she didn't. But looking back I see how trump was able to sneak in and steal the election from under her.
With the republican party making it hard for voters of color to vote you can see where appealing to white sports fans might net out a large advantage. Which is what trump is trying to do again this time around. But this isn't the same dynamic of 2016. We had a beloved democratic president ending his second term and a viciously determined republican party willing to lie, cheat, and steal to elect their nominee no matter how offensive he was personally. A perfect storm of events allowed trump to become an appointed president despite losing the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. So this time around the same playbook is essentially being adhered to but with some obvious changes. As trump is the appointed president and cannot lie, cheat, and steal like before because he has a political record now.
Plus trying to use the NFL and Nascar to strengthen his base is now proving troublesome. Since both now are moving toward the political positions demanded of by democrats. So that unsettled feeling I was having in 2016 isn't available this time around. I keep thinking how can trump turn this around with so many now angry or disapproving of him? Well my conclusion is that he cannot turn it around and must now throw everything he has into denying voters their right to vote. As well he will likely try to find a way to discount any electoral defeat that is inevitably coming. He will not succeed at either because we know his plan and are at full attention in defending against him.

146 days until the election (#4148)

The poll of polls at 538 has trump's approval rating underwater at nearly 14 points. Which for the most part has been consistent with his entire appointed presidency, https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/. Now this is no guarantee that he will lose but it is significant in that the numbers have been for the most part consistent, we just don't like this appointed president! It isn't anything to do with just his obnoxious personality, although that is certainly part of it, no it is to do with his non-stop attack to demean and brutalize our working middle poor class. The wealthy for the most part love him as he is their champion. But the rest of us are just chump change to him and he doesn't even bother to count us as value.
Like I point out now everyday in my daily blog title the days of trump are slowly winding down and in 146 days he will be voted out of office, although he will remain until January 21, 2021. But the last 78 days after the election that trump remains president are more about complying with the transition he will need to make from the White House to somewhere I am not sure but likely offshore somewhere he is criminally untouchable. Maybe with his close ally putin. Either way the time is getting short and each new day seems to lift my soul up just a bit more in excitement. I have no doubt he will be defeated so much so that everyday now is like the anticipation of my birthday.
We saw in Georgia yesterday some of the strategy of republicans to thwart voting in as many ways as they can as a last gasp desperate move to hold public office without actually being favored. It is their go to move, obstruct voting as much as possible to lower the oppositional turnout. Well as we also saw in Georgia yesterday the voting electorate had the will and fortitude to outlast the obstructions and patiently waited in lines to vote. It should become apparent to republicans everywhere that there is no voter obstruction strategy they can devise that will keep us from casting our ballots. But no doubt republicans are down to the bottom of the barrel for answers so voter suppression is their only strategy remaining.

147 days until the election (#4147)

Another day behind us without too much destruction from trump other than to show us and the world his ignorance. I can live with these kinds of days where his onslaught upon the American working middle poor class is minimized to him only making himself look the fool. But today is another day and surely he will make up for a sedate day yesterday by doing something twice as horrible today. What is different now though are the daily protests which have him off balance. When he has to float a possibility of a talk about race relations just to see what the response would be is comforting in one respect, that being he is getting the message that none of us want to hear from him and his racist behavior.
As to what is happening in our society outside the mess that is trump, our national conversation about what policing may look like in the future is beginning to take form. There are examples out there like with Camden, New Jersey in 2013, https://www.npr.org/sections/live-updates-protests-for-racial-justice/2020/06/08/872416644/former-chief-of-reformed-camden-n-j-force-police-need-consent-of-the-people, for us to see the why change was necessary and the what it looks like now. There is also the advancement that is being actuated by the Minneapolis City Council that has everyone up in a stir yet the time for change there is going to happen despite the unknowns of what that will actually look like. Nonetheless the conversation is happening and that in itself is a major breakthrough. It may all be a strategy to eliminate the police unions who have been strongly resistant to modernizing change and that to me is reason enough to change.
I am for unions in our nation and they are very important to protect workers and bargain on their behalf. Yet protecting workers who are adjudged to be criminal is a bridge too far for them to cross and they need to be brought back from that brink. Other problems exist within unions like nepotism and workplace fairness but those can be filtered out with new guidelines aimed at them. Putting a microscope on the problems within our society will help us to correct them as long as we are working to improve where deficiencies exist. I am more hopeful today with now 147 days until the election that we will get there without being torn apart in beforehand.

148 days until the election (#4146)

Well over 110,000 dead here in America from Covid-19 with many more to come. Because with trump, and his only gasping hope of being reappointed, the economy must be humming along. Yet he can't make the economy work for him unless he trades off unnecessary deaths. Even then the economy will not be humming instead it will be fits and starts. So many more deaths while trump tries to shine his dull turd of a record. It is how things will go it seems now that there appears not to be any more stimulus or unemployment extensions. The republican party has spoken and their strategy is to make people die while they also fail to revive our economy.
I have tired to think how we can upset this plan of theirs and the only scenario I can think of is to continue the protests with an even higher participation rate. I do not accept that we have to trade off lives to keep the economy going. There is no cure for the Covid-19 virus so the only solution to keep us out in the workplace is to accept death. We need our democratic politicians to keep hammering on trump and mcconnell to get another stimulus package passed. This is the only way people can ride out the current infections so that when we do go back to our workplaces there is more time down the road for the virus to be eradicated and lessen it's infections on us.
But the trumps do not want us to defend against the virus in an intelligent way. Instead they want our society to pay a death wage to them so that they can stay in power. Like I said the only way republicans can keep what is left of their power in our politics is to sacrifice American lives so that a battered economy can keep moving along. For the life of me I cannot stand this from them and hopefully the rest of us who are the next line of cannon fodder for republicans will say that they aren't going to take this either. We cannot role over to republicans and trump and let them kill us so that they can get a reward for it!

149 days until the election (#4145)

Yesterdays protests were continued all over the world. It seems that not only has our nation finally found it's voice over racial inequality but the world on whole is finding it's voice as well. I welcome that we are finally putting some impetus behind demanding that all are equal under the laws of nature and should be under laws of humanity. This obstinate instinct to control others is archaic and needs to be put to rest with other less desirable archaic urges. Power as a control, especially when singled out at a subset of humanity, is brutal and cruel which is not enlightened nor civilized.
We will always need to be able to enforce our laws equally as appropriate but not as a salve for those who are unconscionable nor psycho/sociopath inclined and protected by law as a law representative. This need to punish others outside policing standards has caused this current eruption of protest and what good may come had better improve on our structured responses or the protestations will never stop. What is discouraging at the moment is that we have the trumps and their acolytes in political power so the wheels of making our society more just are clogged with their prejudices and biases that they will not grease. But for all of this to find a conclusion, grease will need to find it's way onto the wheels of justice despite the obstructions of republicans and their incompetently ignorant leader trump.
Today will surely give us more of the same in the form of protests. That these brave souls are out protesting in the face of a pandemic gives anyone no doubt as to their sincerity and determination for change. The sooner the forces against racism and inequality are subdued the sooner we can move forward into a paradigm where no one is judged solely by the color of their skin. There are a lot of things that need fixing in our society but we have to get through these last 149 days of trump to be able to really effect lasting and deserved change.

150 days until the election (#4144)

Another block of ten days is behind us and it seems like a million years ago from the last block of ten. That trump can make time drag so slowly is his cruelest act upon us. I just wish he would shut his ignorant brutish mouth for some small period of time to give us all a moments pause from his insanity! Yet he knows not to because if he did his world would fall apart much faster. So he keeps up with adding new manure to the pile as a way to distract us from his last pile of manure. Regardless of how slow time is being played out it is still ticking down on him and with now only 15 blocks of ten days left he must be feeling the fear.
By fear I mean desperation and despair in knowing that his appointed presidency is about to end and he then will be available to be criminally charged with so many crimes. How will he endure his final blocks of ten days knowing that nothing can help him, not even his spin of the economy. His children who have been right there with him in committing crimes will also become targets for justice and their anxiety will filter to him as well. I expect that all of them have some grand parachute back up plan waiting to be activated as things continue to disintegrate. So even as we endure his lunacy and indifference to our suffering we know that the day is soon coming where he will be the one who feels what we feel now and for the last almost 4 years.
150 days is a milestone of sorts as it now tells us that the countdown to his defeat at election time is in full bore. I am not the only one counting down the days as many others are now into the daily click of another 24 hours behind us. This has been the most excruciating last 4 years I have ever lived and I thought nothing would be as bad as shrub. I am corrected exponentially with the trump crime family. the end is coming soon and we now have our nominee who officially passed the delegate count of 1,991. So the election is ready to begin in earnest even though some primaries still need to occur. Our democratic leader is evolving into an FDR type man as the trumps continue to make it a necessity. Which is a silver lining in ways as getting to real change is now more a reality than ever.

151 days until the election (#4143)

Forcing workers back out into an infectious environment is a trophy trump is currently in a limelight basking in. Does he do anything that doesn't benefit him? Well it is a rhetorical question in that we all know the answer is no over and over again. How many more deaths will be added through is determined stance to make us all his pawns in the game of life. We are cannon fodder and if he has to sacrifice all of us to prove it he will. By not giving any more stimulus payments and making unemployment harder to earn he has forced about 2.5 million workers back out to work despite the enhanced chance of them catching the Covid-19 virus.
He is just giddy about those numbers for forcing workers back to work. It is a horrible thing he is doing to the health and welfare of our nation and it will not be the outcome he desires. In the big picture more than 35 million workers were displaced by Covid-19 so him taking a victory lap over 2.5 million workers forced back to work is ridiculous. He thinks that if the jobs numbers continue to improve he will be assured a victory in November yet he is the one who allowed the virus to circulate within our borders unchecked causing the workers to be displaced.
It seems that nothing ever changes with republicans. They cause a problem, then try to fix it while thumping their chests in victory. Yet the ones who are always hurt by the problem they cause are the working middle poor class. So this time nothing trump can do will save his appointed presidency. There will be those who will hail him as a conquering hero but that narrative is in stark contrast to his putting up a fenced wall around the White House to keep him safe from Americans. He is done and the only question that remains to be answered is how many of us will he kill off before he is no longer a threat to us.

152 days until the next election (#4142)

So the other day trump called his buddy putin and then not much longer after that trump comes out with a plan to militarize the streets. Now the cause and effect scenario here may be just coincidence but knowing how both of these cadavers operate, it seems to me to be strategic. This is how putin controls his nation, through strong arm tactics and let's not forget polonium. So for trump to feel like he needs to control his nation in somewhat the same manner is not a stretch. I would venture that trump and putin are colluding together to handle and manage this current protesting crisis in tandem.
Now I have no proof but I do have common sense and logical sequencing from past behaviors to follow about both putin and trump. They are close in association due to trump's need for money and Russia being able to supply it previous to trump's appointed presidency. They also shared a deviance toward sex that surely has trump on tape doing some real unsavory acts. You will have also noticed all the good trump has done for putin and Russia over the course of his appointed presidency so that the bond between the two is more than casual acquaintance conjecture.
We also have the jealousy factor here. That putin can defy the will of his nation and make himself a king like person has trump envious beyond rationality. So what would trump do in times that offer him a chance to steal the democracy right out from under us? He talks to his tyrannical buddy putin and listens to advice that could make him, trump, like putin. Thus satisfying trump's dream of becoming the dictator that he so inwardly feels is his right in life. I have no doubt as to trump's wish of controlling our society and who better to get advice from than a current sitting tyrant who is happy to see American democracy disappear into the past. 152 more days and I swear to you every one of them will be excruciating to experience as a defender of American democracy.

153 days until the election (#4141)

I stayed off of facebook yesterday in solidarity with a blackout day to show fucerberg that we will not be sheep in his corral. There are clear opponents for us to acknowledge and he is one of them. I hate that I give his platform my attention but as I found out yesterday it wasn't easy staying off my page where so many like minded souls are gathered. Until there is an alternative to facebook that is legitimate I am stuck with this for now and although I am back today I will eave again for the next installment of protest against him. Hopefully his pocketbook took a hit yesterday from his advertisers.
What I wasn't able to do yesterday was continue posting about the idiocy and cruelty of trumps as well as the election results from a big democratic primary day yesterday. I will catch up on my page today and see how our blue wave is doing in the face of curfews, republican voting obstructions, and the pandemic. Yet I have little doubt that our blue wave electorate is as determined as I am to vote and remove the cancerous pustule from our White House. I will also be posting about the current affairs of our protesting George Floyd's murder and those who are directly responsible for it. The anger that our populace feels now is that the other 3 officers who were involved have not been charged with their criminal actions yet.
But even further is the change needed to stop law enforcement from having a free pass when it comes to violating human rights. The time is now to pass legislation that is significant in, albeit, protecting law enforcement but also holding them accountable. What we have now is the protecting part without the accountability part. It will be difficult to get meaningful criminal justice reform past the republican party but if are ever going to do it we must try now. A busy day today catching up with all that matters in our society and even outside our society as we are still part of the bigger picture human race. Our planet needs our attention and this Covid-19 virus needs to be mastered.

154 days left until the election (#4140)

No post on Facebook today as I am honoring the day long blackout of using Facebook. We know that trump has a confidant in mark uckerberg and it is time he paid a price for it. I do not like that facebook's founder has sided with the most horrible person ever appointed president and although I find facebook necessary in these times to communicate my message, it can wait a day. I would normally post this daily blog on facebook but not today. I stand in solidarity with my fellow users of this platform in denying revenue to ultimately trump since uckerberg is intent in financing the republican convention.
I will spend the day doing something I don't usually do and that is to watch CNN and MSNBC. They seem to be coming back to a more liberal bent in their coverage on a more consistent basis as it must be because they realize what others and I have known since the beginning in that trump ad the republican party are human wastoids. The fairness is reporting is finally breaking through because now many reporters are slanting their coverage toward the truth of trump's utter inability to be human. So I will take a day and relax from the horrible news that continually comes up on my facebook news feed and maybe even watch a movie or two.
154 days until trump gets his overwhelming defeat and having a day away from him on here will be a restful plateau to enjoy. Then tomorrow back at it. So the only ones who will see this post are the ones who actually check my blog page. So to those one or two I say thank you and I am most humbled. Our protesting in different ways is so important right now as we each need to find our voice through either our vocal chords or through our actions. Life is so important to all of us and that is what this is all about, equality!

155 days left until the election (#4139)

In the absence of justice where does the pain go? How does closure occur? When does the anger subside? The idea that there can be a democracy without justice is illogical. So we see the problems with our society and now we must not shirk our responsibility to fix it. The time is now for the repair and without the repair I fear that we will break apart as a democracy and that can only mean much more senseless bloodshed and misery. Not only is the world watching what we are doing but they are themselves beginning to protest the death of George Floyd as an indictment on cruel and brutish racism and inculcated white privilege.
As the pain, closure, and anger foment with no therapeutic outlet for release is why we see the outrage in protests and defiance by not only our people of color but of we who are white support them and our democracy on whole. That advantaged and privileged criminals are protected from the effects of justice is much of what is wrong with our society. That the rest of us are handed justice in harsh and demeaning ways is the other side of the coin. The privileged and advantaged are treated with a helping hand from justice, if and when it is meted, while the rest of us are given the back of justice's hand and told we deserve the worst of what is possible without fail.
With 155 days left until the election it seems that criminal justice reforms will be a major issue for all political candidates to address. Which is appropriate given the harm our justice system has accrued on the backs of those who are least able to shoulder it. The outcome of the George Floyd murder has so far been an overwhelming rally behind the idea that democracy for some is not enough! The nature and culture of our society is in question and how we answer this going forward will determine whether the ideals of democracy can be saved or if we will devolve back into a society that punishes for the sake of punishing while some stay above the law.
