Well a day can make a difference. First trump said yesterday that he wanted to give a speech on Junteenth to commemorate the anniversary of freedom from slavery. Well knowing trump the opposite is more likely true. He just didn't realize the conflict of the date for his cult gathering because he has no historical significance of important dates in our history that don't involve white only celebrations. So instead of admitting that he had no clue he had scheduled his cult for that day he finally woke up to the fact that he had to change the gathering to the next day. It wasn't because he was honoring Junteenth, no, it was because he didn't want push back from his own party. Because, as we are seeing they are not as asshole crazy as he is on some issues.
Because if there is one soul on this planet left that doesn't understand that trump only does stuff if he can benefit from, then I am insane. Anyway, whether I am insane or not is for another time. :) But trump has finally calculated, that he will lose more than gain from his carnival barking hate mongering dog whistles if he keeps the Junteenth anniversary date. So the next day now in Tulsa he will spew his vile nature out to his rabid followers and he won't have to be critiqued against the backdrop of Junteenth and the Tulsa massacre of black folks. It is bad enough what he does at his cult gatherings and especially now with the Covid-19 virus still in play having kicked the black race too was finally too much for his advisers.
Today though he will be out working to pollute the minds of our young West Point graduates as a fuck you to the rest of us who want to keep politics out of our military. Normally a commencement speech is welcome from a caring distinguished leader of objective principles but we don't have that with the straw boy trump. His hollow empathy and belligerent character is a sure sign that he could care less about these young future military leaders but their is something to be gained and he does like shiny pretty things. Hopefully he won't massacre the moment, although I have little hope he won't. Suffice it to say if this is the worst he does today it will be a respite and any pause in his acts and behaviors for the next 143 days will be welcomed.
