142 days until the election (#4152)

One hundred and forty two days is not a real long but it is a bit of time. So with yesterday trump seemingly less than normal in his health I have to wonder if he will actually survive the coming campaign season. Whether he is suffering nerve damage and or weakening muscle action it is up to debate but something irregular is going on with him that he is not being open about. There were the rumors of sexually transmitted diseases and habitual drug use and if my guess were anything I would say that some combination of both may be at play. Especially the drug usage. It has been a long haul for him as today he is a year older into his now mid seventies so some kind of physical breakdown from drug abuse would be expected to show.
All I know is that he is being not only erratic in his physical behavior but in his mental acuteness as well. I never thought much of his ability to rationalize but it seems even simple problems are giving him pause. His advisers seem to be carrying him with their outlook on reality and he is just going along with them because they actually do reflect much of what he spews. It will be noteworthy to keep him under view as we go forward, something I dread to suggest since he isn't much to learn from or admire. Yet what could be his withering away from his own core might become a real problem in many ways. Not only for his own safety to himself but largely to our safety from him.
He will be a one and done appointed president of that I am in no doubt but what he could do to us as he is defeated is my concern. If need be we have to have every resource available to us to protect us from our own folly in the White House. Those who are close to him may see this time as an advantage for themselves and act accordingly beyond his grasp. The institutions we have in place that are still functioning at somewhat a constitutional paradigm must be vigilant if the need arise to assume greater control from a ill functioning appointed president. I may be wrong and hopefully I am because what devil we know in this case is much better for us than a devil we have no idea about this close to an all important election.
