(#6003) The republican majority on the Supreme Court are diluting our democracy

      The rule of law is what keeps the vibrancy of our nation upbeat. Through the rule of law we are given parameters to move within to fulfill our own destinies. The rule of law is what keeps our democratic principles of equality, liberty, freedom, fairness, and justice functioning as a priority. Without the rule of law the guardrails come off and the chaos begins. Our American society needs stability to function for all of us. We are bonded by geography and a heritage that demands for all us the rights of human beings. We stand tall and have many opportunities when the rule of law works for all of us.
     However, we are saddled with a despicable president, a weakened and cowering Congress and even a incomprehensible republican majority Supreme Court that is either ignorant to their oaths to protect the Constitution or are in collusion with the despicable one. I can only surmise as to the cause of our Supreme court being so loose with precedent and common sense but it seems to me that when you try to bend the law to fit a perspective you are aware of your actions and intent. This majority republican Supreme Court is taking the evolving promise of America and undercutting it to allow for privilege and advantage to supersede the equity of fairness and justice.
     The republican majority Supreme Court members are allowing for the diminution of equality, liberty, freedom, fairness, and justice, for purposes that are not lofty nor even commendable. Our Supreme Court, once a gold standard of wisdom, has now due to the republican majority on the Supreme Court, become the lap dog of an idea that has no honor. The pride I felt as an American in our political institutions and their charge to protect and defend democratic principles is now becoming a fleeting memory. We can reclaim our manifest destiny to lead human existence into a promising future for all life but we need to do it before the time comes when it is beyond our ability to achieve. With all three branches of government currently failing us the only way forward is we the people!
