(#6022) When morality has no place in republican calculus

      The death of morality is obvious in republican belief systems. They may front that they are some righteous souls but the proof is the opposite. From treating women like cattle to using children for vice, the republican claim to be on a moral high ground is a lie. Not that the republicans care if they lie as long as they get what they want. So me saying the lack of morals is a strategy is not misidentified. The republican party has chosen the hell or high water approach to falsehood. Nothing matters whether it is death of people or great harm, as long as republicans can feel good about themselves.
     They know they only live once and that there is no afterlife. However they won't tell you that because by using religious symbols they can easily persuade many to help them achieve their agenda of self gratification. When the wealthy get more and the poor get less the clear signal that sends is me me me. Democracy is a we we we institution which under republican leadership is becoming less real and further from safety. I thought just for a moment this morning that we are turning the tables on trump and his incessant attacks on our society would wane. But then I remembered that he is never ending drama and his next and next and next disappointment for our society is already loaded up and ready to be released.
     It is bad enough that trump is a soulless empty suit that seems to have made a deal with the devil kind of thing to let him live forever in return for destroying humanity. For the life of me I cannot think of any reason for him to be so unhuman in his motivations. For me he is like a troubled psychopath, unable to come to terms with his failings although never would he admit them. The rest of the republican party takes their cues from him but they also cannot decipher his intent. They just follow without providing resistance to his every whim. The lack of morality on behalf of republicans is obvious to those who have a moral compass. As to those who don't most all of them vote republican.
