(#5986) I am an American but I am also a victim of this current despicable regime!

      The world looks on at America with a puzzlement as to how we have regressed from being the greatest democracy and defender of our democracy in the world. I suspect a majority of we here in America also are in puzzlement about how we got to this soul crushing place. We keep electing the same corrupt and borderline sociopathic individuals to lead us so the puzzlement shouldn't be too difficult to comprehend. Why we keep electing these malicious souls is beyond my current comprehension but surely it must be for several reasons that all of which defy honor and logic.
     I would say that too many are loyal to a miserable political party out of some allegiance with the past. I would also say that too many are unkind in their souls about equality issues concerning race and gender. As well the fact that our population has slipped badly from being an intelligent citizenry to one that is vulnerable to propaganda and sensationalism. There is an awful mix of too many who are angry at the wrong cause of their unfortunate effects. We Americans seem to be able now to be so manipulated to agendas that are not realistically our cause. We have illogically taken on the burdens of those who would use us for their own gains.
     My hope is that the world will not fall into the abyss like we Americans have and instead will continue to fight for democracy and human rights. There are many of us here in America who will not quit fighting along with you but at the moment we are not as strong as we need to be. I don't know how all this is going to play out but I won't quit because I and others have the will to succeed. Nothing here is set in stone and as time moves on so do we who will never stop working to bring out the better and best of who we Americans are when we are not so gullible to the distortions and lies of our current existence.
