(#5977) Our battle motto: Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst!

      The beauty of being on the correct side of history is that we can actually smile when we have a moment. Basking in the triumph of knowing we are the better and best of what humanity should be is a value that is unlimited in price. Yet knowing we are honorable and noble in our thoughts and deeds about what life should be is not the same as being prepared for the reality we are currently living. There are too many ignoble folks who are blinded by their hatred of those who are not of their ilk. They are prepared to cause chaos and harm whenever it is feasible for them to administer.
     We we who are not generally attracted to chaos and harm must also prepare to defend against those who are generally attracted to a range of violence. We must hone our skill level in some areas to be better prepared for the force that is aligned with brutality and cruelty. Each of us is different in our skill levels and approaches when confronted with our rights being ignored or breached. Those of us who are not prone to being offensive or even defensive are at a fork in the road of life. We must either choose to resist the attacks that are surely coming our way or we must figure out how to escape to fight another day. Because there will be no safe harbor to sit this one out in any more if the forces of anti humanity succeed.
     I am myself always of a duo nature. First it is to be the curious/compassionate person that has evolved into a reliably sound and respected human being. But at the same time beneath that desired persona lives a survivalist. Even more than a survivalist in that I have a personality akin to a hero type. I would gamble my own existence to help save the existence of others who are threatened. But that is just me. We each must find it within ourselves to discover who our survival persona is and activate that person when and only if required. We cannot be caught unaware of the danger that is confronting us right now and it will cost all of us some amount to defeat it but we can and should for the sake of who we are as decent honorable people.
