(#6449) 36 days until election results...less than a week for California/Ohio ballots

      29 days before election day, which is in 6 days, ballots will become available in California and Ohio. California will mail ballots to all registered active voters, while Ohio is less charitable with their absentee mail in ballots compared to California. However, both states will be able to vote securely regardless of method. A slew of states will follow until most states that participate in early voting are open for ballot access. Alabama, Mississippi, and New Hampshire have either no early ballots available or like with Mississippi, only selective to approved absentee voters. Either than those 3 states all other states offer early voting as a convenience to voters who should be given more opportunities to get their vote cast in a functioning democracy.
     As well most states have some form of ballot tracking from being mailed to the voter to elections office if mailed back. As to drop boxes the technology is just catching up so do not count on drop boxes with scanners just yet although some in the pilot stage are available in Orange County, California. The excitement is tempered with our election this time around given the trump administrations efforts to discount legal voters, however when we vote en masse we can nullify the democratization efforts of the trumps by simply voting in too large of numbers to be fixed. Like earlier this year when Hungary ousted their dictator with 79% of their voting electorate casting ballots.
     In California, our governor and legislators, enacted laws specifically for this election to keep the trump forces from interfering in our elections. Allowing our voters the free exercise of our duty to our constitution. Whether by early in person voting, mail in balloting, or same day voting on election day, we here in California are poised to show our resolve and purpose in a mighty way. As to Ohio they consider themselves the gold standard of voting with bipartisan confidence that their election this year will be safe and accurate. With both California and Ohio making strong efforts to protect election security I am well confident that both states will administer their elections with honorable results!
