(#6042) Bullies, dictators, and just generally selfish people

      I am talking about the trump supporters. I have a banished family member who fits into this category. He denies it of course because he says he is a christian. He thinks he is being a servant of god and his intentions are good and true. Yet his practices are to be intolerant to others who are not his race, nor his belief system. But he doesn't admit to that even though he lives for his religion and the parts that keep him safe. He also discriminates against those who weren't lucky enough to be born into opportunity like he was. None of us were wealthy but at least we had chances to climb the ladder so to speak.
     But what really gives this person away is that he supports trump. That in a nutshell separates out his selfishness toward himself and not his selflessness toward others. What I have also noticed is his silence on the putin/trump bromance. Let me be absolutely clear here. No one gets to be in my circle if they are against democracy. That is all Ukraine is trying to be is free to choose their identity as a nation. This family member doesn't see this as a priority. he likes that trump can dictate his will over others despite the others wanting to dictate their own free will. He is a mini dictator himself and wants to tell all the rest of us to be like his christian choice.
     Those are the people trump draws to himself. Those who want to tell everyone else how to live. The absurdity is evident yet not recognizable to those who are in a tunnel of ego. There is no getting through either as I have tried many times. So my final solution was to disassociate. It came as a surprise to my expelled family member but nonetheless it holds. The answers to everything wrong can be found by studying problems yet so many refuse to be objective in their understandings. They have chosen their hills to die on and nothing I say will change them. The door will never be fully closed in case the family member proves that they have indeed finally corrected themselves to only trying to master their own lives and not the lives of others.
