(#6048) Getting things done

      The list never ends with things to do but it is nice to accomplish some bigger things then relax for a moment to recharge. However long that moment takes is adjustable. Some things that need doing are so comprehensive that the work on them may take years. Much like our resistance to republican politics. There is no real relaxing in that scenario. When I say we did this to ourselves I do include myself because I think of all we Americans as either knowing of the problem of duped by it. Either way we need to solve it. As for the other smaller issues in my life I can handle the stress and strain with calming techniques and enduring effort.
     I still have no idea how our American society will survive this trump takeover of our democracy but I know mine and others' efforts to thwart him remains constant. I will not be one of those who goes silently in the night like Dylan Thomas wrote. I will rage against the dying of the light. The light being our democracy and my rage is my passionate response. I may temper it with abstractions but always beneath the surface is my white hot vigilance. Getting things done is somewhat a euphemism for living every second with a purpose. Existing is not just being here it is also creating an atmosphere of unity and destiny. Taking all of what we are and finding a way to maximize our utility.
     We are more than what we have previously shown and certainly more than what we are currently showing. The thing is though that our progress is being threatened by a concept of division. Why we would ever let division overtake commonality is dumbfounding to me. There is no awesomeness to hurting and causing suffering when teamwork and success is the better alternative. Getting things done is the little things I do everyday and the big things that I want for all of us to experience. None of us should be left without hope and opportunity. So together getting things done is my mantra!
