(#6340) trump only knows one way forward, grift!

A naive person said recently that trump should try telling the truth as a new strategy. Apparently given the comment this person doesn't understand trump at all. He cannot tell the truth unless it benefits him somehow. Always a strategy to benefit himself. So the idea he just start telling the truth is absurd since he cannot tell the truth if he can't make a buck off of it. So the truth will have to wait for another president to speak. In the meantime the many of us who know the truths as they come about need to keep echoing them as much as possible so the truth of things don't get lost in the cacophony of lies coming from trump and his bootlickers.
As to his grifting there is not a lot we can do when the republican majorities in Congress allow him. The courts are a backstop to his grifting but not as fast nor as efficient as we who see the grifting would like. In my mind I am less angry at his grifting than his policy changes. He can steal money now but later we will get it back. With policy changes he hurts people now while the reversing of the hurt on them is much harder to accomplish. The only real tangible advantage we the people have is time. He is starting to run out of it both professionally and personally. So we the people need to weather his storm and then repair and replace the damage he has caused.
Like a toddler who is guided by his greatest ambition, to grift, we the people need to keep him focused on his ambition to wealth while keeping him from his lesser ambitions to harm. In less than five months we will be able to constrain him for his last 2 years and that is an imperative. To constrain him we need every eligible voter to make a plan to vote. We also need to remind him that harming us is not a wise strategy since the voting time is right around the corner. If we can divert his attentions from destroying more of our societal democracy then we will have an easier lift to correcting the mistake of his presidency. So I say herd him toward his grift, while still making it difficult, so as to keep him from harming us with policy over this last little bit of time.
