(#6343) Who built America? Our government and we the people!

      Very recently I heard about trump claiming that the wealthy built our nation. Well he is so wrong on that it is about as far from the truth as any of the falsehoods he has uttered with his diminished and untrained mind. If not for our federal government railroad tracks would never have been laid. Interstate highways would never have been leveled and paved. Our government of we the people have built our great nation with collective funds and with collective muscle. The railroad owners got land grants and funding to initiate the work of which they were handsomely recompensed. So much so that they became wealthy. Same with highways, except for the land grants, which were funded 90% but our government.
     Without these avenues of commerce delivery we would have remained a regional affiliations of enterprises much less capable of expanding nationwide. By funding and gifting land to railroad entrepreneurs we the people built the lifeline necessary for supply to reach everywhere track was laid. By funding the building of our interstate highways we further built a lifeline for trucks to move supply beyond the railroad hubs out into the living spaces of our nation for commerce to grow. The lack of intellect by this current despicable president notwithstanding, we the people imagined a connected nation and set forth to achieve it. The only influence the wealthy had on our lifeline of connectivity was to profit from it.
     As a democratic nation we the people didn't need the wealthy to do anything for us. We could have done it all ourselves without some entity of profit interjecting their demands for payment. However we have a political party here in America filled with a conservative mindset that cherishes class distinctions over egalitarian ones. The republican party led by trump is the one who demands payment because of some deserve they feel is theirs and only theirs. We democrats are of a different mindset. We want a better life built upon all of us being a part of it. Today's imagining is beyond rails and roads of commerce, we want purposes greater than daily survival. So when trump says the wealthy built America you can do like I do and dismiss his gobsmacking, intellectually challenged, illogic.
