2 days until we can breathe again (#3565)

I saw that Jane Fonda made the comment that it is hard to breathe in trump's America. Well that is about to end for her and 100's of millions of the rest of us. We won't have hundreds of millions voting but the result of the votes of us who do will help them as well. Even those who vote for trump's candidates and agenda will find that their lives will get better regardless if they immediately recognize or admit it, or not. A calm peacefulness is about to descend on us in the next few days and it will be exhilarating for me and surely everyone else who has had to fight like our lives are on the line for this moment to come about. In 2 days we will begin to see the horizon again with a new and fresh outlook.
As for trump and his cabal of crooks and liars it will be a different perspective than the one they have enjoyed over the last few years. I mentioned the other day that I expect to see an election not unlike the one Canada enjoyed in 2015 when liberals swept to power everywhere on Canadian soil. We will see something like that when the first returns begin to come in from the East coast. An onslaught of democratic voters are turning out and not to be underestimated are the disgusted republican voters who are voting democrat and the vast majority of independent voters who are aligning themselves with the democratic party. This is because of what trumps and his boot licking republicans in Congress have brutishly done to us and our democracy.
We may have our full share of disturbed individuals in our nation who are hell bent on destroying goodness and fairness but they are vastly outnumbered by real patriots of democracy. This time the election of our democratic candidates is priority number one like no other midterm election in at least 50 years. Because the threat to our democracy is real and our electorate is awake, aware and prepared to vote. In 2 days the culmination of 654 days under trump so far have led us to this moment. An anticipated record turnout for democratic candidates culminating in a victory so badly needed for democracy after the debacle of 2016. In 2 days our hearts will be singing a new tune and they won't have any of the melancholy strains of the past 2 years within.
