We will not come out of this unscathed but we will come out of it (#3587)

When I think of this current time with the inhumane trump as our appointed president I have been mentally adding up the costs we have endured because of him without even the solace of a benefit. I am not one of those who would trade a cost for a benefit when the paradigm is our dignity, respect and honorableness. To put simply I do not trade my principles of democracy and equality for a handful of traitorous silver pieces. Yet we are currently experiencing this phenomenon with the republican party and their soulless leader.
The rest of the world is astonished that we allow such a creature to be our figurehead and they wonder what kind of soul the rest of us have to allow him to continue. All I can hope from the world is for them to look at our form of government where the right to be wrong is protected even when that wrong is awful. This is a lesson for the ages to the civilized world where even a horrible outcome such as trump being installed as the president can happen and must be given the deference of election trust. Yet we know there was election meddling and conspiracy but even those mounting charges must be proven and adjudicated.
We Americans will learn from this debacle to our election processes and make adjustments to stop further infiltration of these nefarious sorts. We will have to survive our previous complacency and accept the damage done in the meantime. What this catastrophic era has given us is an awakening of our voters to always stay engaged. Yet that is not how we would have learned this mighty lesson. The end is near for the time when trump is no longer a danger to every American life given his disdain for everything not himself. These last midterms gave us back a semblance of who we really are and the next election will demonstrably announce our will to put back the soul in our next leaders convictions.
