Always rebutting the republican desire for nationalism (#3585)

What does nationalism do for the republican party? It gives it a foundation for it's all white desire for America. One thing republicans seem to embrace more than patriotism to our American constitution is the idea that white supremacy is a higher priority than the concept of the melting pot. The republican party will tolerate "others" in their society as long as they know their place within it. A second class state that rarely advances into the echelon of white rule. If that isn't clear to most by now then the propaganda to hide it is still effective. What is even more perverse is that white nationalism only truly extends to the male gender with republicans. Again, some women are allowed to be part of leadership but only at the direction of republican men.
I am not saying anything controversial here just blatantly plain and obvious. It is now okay for the racists and misogynists to express their views now that their president is one of them. Not all in the republican party are nationalists but where there are nationalists you may only find them in the republican party. As evidenced by the many moderate members denouncing their party and either leaving the republican party to join democrats or becoming independents. The infestation of racism and misogyny in the republican party is becoming too much for what is left of decent patriotic former republicans. That there is little to no new attraction to become a republican is still invisible to the republican party the rest of us are celebrating the swelling of our ranks in defiance of the new nationalist republican party.
That we now know that there is a political party in our American politics that prefers nationalism to democratic patriotism, it is up to the rest of us to rebut them at every turn. When they turn their propaganda or outright hatred of our democratic principles back at us we must stand up to them and call them out for it. Not only that, amplify who they are and what their message is trying to destroy. Equal opportunity, justice and fairness is a right for all of us to pursue our happiness. There is no one privileged race or gender of people. We are all equal in that the foundation of our society protects and respects our right to be an equal member of society. This is what we fight to preserve and what the republican party would take from us.
