(#6237) America galvanized together when attacked at Pearl Harbor; what will Iran do?

The history of the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was centered on the declaration of war that did not reach Roosevelt in time. The attack hit before a declaration was conveyed. Being the victim of a surprise attack is shocking and then builds into anger. Yesterday the US and Israel surprised attacked Iran killing it's leader along with 60 plus school children. There was no formal conveyance or declaration of war in advance so what took place yesterday was similar to what took place December 7, 1945. The effect of this attack on Iran is still in early days but we are hearing that the dead leader's son is likely going to be taking over. He is a younger and more volatile form of his father so expect to see that play out in the very near future.
If trump thinks his blitzkrieg is enough to make Iran fear any retaliation is naive and much like trump's thinking. He is a checkers player with only one move at a time. So obviously he has no long term plan for all the scenarios that may occur. Which is what a chess player would do. Understanding that knowing what options will be employed by Iran and having responses to them. I fear that with the surprise attack on Iran trump and netanyahu overstepped their sucker punch attack. The established administration inside Iran is heavily controlled by the revolutionary guard apparatus. There will be no freedom of protest to overrule them instead there will be more deaths for Iranian citizens who don't exercise some caution.
All netanyahu and trump accomplished is to awaken the powers that be inside Iran to a sole purpose. That being aimed directly at Israel and the US. It doesn't matter much at all that their 86 leader is no more. A succession process is underway but the outcome seems likely to be the son of the dead leader. Even if not him the damage netanyahu and trump did will be a focus of retribution that will be more than proportional. The Iranian civilization is an old and proud one not to be taken for granted. Much like what Admiral Yamamoto said after the failed notice of war and the aftermath of the attack on Japan, "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve".
