(#6266) My outtakes from the protest

     Overall I was pleased to see see so many of us out there speaking our minds when the atmosphere around all of this is a bit tenuous. The trumps have made it clear they will harm when they are not happy and surely all of us know this about him. So for us to come out in force like this at more than 9 million strong is very appreciated. We are building momentum against the trump cabal and that is undeniable. Even so though if others weren't a bit afraid of being targeted for protesting the turnout would have been much larger. That is why we are protesting in the first place. The trumps want to scare us into submission and those of us who dared to differ won't let his fear campaign stop us.
     But we need more of us to counter the threat trump represents. He has used his ice thugs to his advantage in several instances and that is part of his bullying plan. However the millions of us who will not allow bullying by him and his thugs stop us from protecting our democracy. My one thought in cases where democracy is threatened is what would Nathan Hale do? We already know because when during the Revolutionary War he was caught by the British as a spy for America he said as they were about to hang him that he regretted only having one life to give for his country. That is my core belief as well. So no piece of shit bully is ever going to stop me from defending and protecting our democracy!
     What really needs to happen is for a work stoppage all across America except in vital functions for health and safety concerns. Otherwise we all need to just stop what we are doing and make some noise about our demand that trump resign and then demand changes to our constitution that will never allow a criminal conman to commandeer our society. Our society must always be about we the people and the improvements we need in our lives and by extension the lives in the world around us. Never again should we be beholden to the powers that be when they are supposed to be our representatives not their own representatives! At minimum we need another large planned protest with far more attending because the situation is so dire to our immediate future as a democracy!
