(#6248) Electric powered vehicles are the future

      Whether some are not able to admit it we as a nation are in a transition period with our vehicles. From combustion engines to electric engines, the transformation is underway. The fossil fuel proponents are fighting hard not to lose their revenue stream while we fossil fuel opponents are fighting hard to preserve our environment. Greed fighting against clean air. I am one of the clean air, water, and soil advocates so that after I am gone the Earth will have been my cause to protect. Not some large sum of money that is the only reward dirty energy proponents want to protect.
     It does appear that I am on the correct side of this new reality as millions in my home state of California are buying EV cars and trucks. Like I said the transformation is happening. No amount of cajoling nor incentivizing combustion transportation will divert the knowledge that EV transportation is smart and efficient to a healthy lifestyle. There are more brands of EV vehicles coming to market with improved qualities that are now more equivalent to combustion engine performance and driving distance. Performance has always been a factor and now that is being addressed quite sufficiently. What cannot change is the necessity of combustion engines needing petroleum as it's source to operate.
     As we see in the world around us the prices of refined petrol is unstable and highly influenced by greed and political actions. Whereas EV technology holds no dependence on the prices of oil as fuel. EV technology is so much more cleaner for the environment and is getting even more clean as utility grids switch to renewable energy as a main source of their power supply. With practically zero tail pipe emissions, EV's have no Co2 emissions while combustion engines remain a huge source of CO2 emissions in the transportation sector. Clean air, water, and soil are fundamental to healthy life on Earth and as such will continue to dominate the future with increasing preference over greed filled dirty energy!
