(#6261) Yesterdays happy special elections in Florida

      It was a nice learning that trump was dealt a defeat in the Florida state district he lives in. You would think that your home town constituents would be favorable to your presence among them and that your ideas that align with them. But no. Not only do they not appreciate his presence, since his preferred candidate lost to a democrat, but it further reiterates the messaging that trump is in disfavor everywhere. That was a smile worthy event in itself but more came of it when it was learned that trump also cast his ballot through the mail in option. You know, the mail in method that he has been claiming non stop that is, in his words, cheating.
     So not only did he lose his home district in Florida of all places but he was shown to be hypocritical in the method of his personal vote. He has been blasting continuously that voters need to be protected from cheating yet he doesn't include himself in his opinion. First off, we voters don't need to be protected from cheating as it is almost impossible to accomplish. Second his solution for preventing cheating would actually disenfranchise several million eligible voters. So obviously his solution isn't really a solution to prevent cheating it is to prevent citizens from voting. If trump and republicans were serious about the miniscule problem of voter fraud then both parties need to get together to formulate a bill.
     Instead of having both parties agree on fixing the nearly imperceivable problem of voter fraud, which by the way seems to have caught out republicans as the majority violators, then a bipartisan bill is the method to do it. Not an all republican bill that is deceptively adept at denying citizens their right to vote by the millions. What trump did yesterday by voting by mail is tell everyone that voting by mail is really ok with him personally but for every one else it is a form of cheating. What this does to the average American citizen who learns this is tell them that protecting voters from fraud is not the goal and that this is just another proof that the trump voter bill is truly just a voter suppression bill that he needs to get passed to keep from getting the fate he richly deserves from we the people!
