Oh happy day! (#3625)

Yep, doing a little mental jig of a dance in my head right now. We democrats are just a few hours away from enjoying a successful 2018 midterm election result. Specifically on C-Span where our new leader of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi will be taking the gavel from whatever stooge is left from the dying republican party. I have no problem with calling republicans stooges since they are blindly following criminals, in both mcconnell and trump. Those days are gone for now at least in the House and in less than 2 years we will be done with mcconnell and trump as well.
So yeah baby, oh happy day today! I will turn on my television for the first time to C-Span in over 8 years and it will be a pleasure to spend my days going forward taking in our democratic party's ambitious and correct policy advances. The time for compromising with republicans was never really an option in the past and now every knows it except republicans of course. Let me explain. The republicans party left the working middle poor class back in the 1970's and even then were only partially in on us. My political awareness was awakened in the sixties with the assassination of our democratic president John Kennedy. Since then I have learned that it is the democratic party that has a vision for all of us and not like republicans who are only in it for the wealthy and themselves personally.
So today is a triumph of sorts in that the American electorate awoke from a decades long slumber to finally see what republicans have been doing and we most all of us are not pleased. So beginning today we the true patriots of American democracy are stepping into our rightful places albeit not fully until after the 2020 election. We have to blunt any further damage to our Supreme Court but hopefully that will not become a factor until after we democrats have retaken the Senate. The momentum is ours and even with the satisfying events of the midterm elections and today's claiming of the Speaker's gavel, our Women's March set for later this month on January 19th must again show the world that the blue wave election of 2018 was just a riptide compared to the tsunami that will hit in 2020.
