The trump theatircs is what is left (#3632)

Yesterday I called it posturing but today it is even less than that. It is theatrics now since there really is nothing left for trump to do but reopen government. Of course he will claim some kind of victory based upon some ridiculous notion of saving us from ourselves and at this point we are fine with it but not for long because after this power stunt has ended we will hold his feet to the fire for the terrible consequences it had on too many innocent people. That we democrats mostly created the legislation from the previous Senate bill that actually gives the laid off federal workers pay for the time off further makes this stunt of trumps erode with practically no support from the affected federal workers. Because without trump signing the House bill the federal workers would not get paid for their forced suspension without pay.
So as not only does each day mount more pressure on trump to stop this painful exercise in blackmailing the American people but it will keep adding to costs that trump had no intention of paying had he been able to make us Democrats cave to his threats. So when the bill for the shutdown far exceeds the amount he demanded from Congress the American people will have real life evidence of the inability of trump to manage our nations finances. From his economic deficiencies to his cultural and political deficiencies the ending of his presidency in 2020 is most likely assured along with his overall lack of empathy for the success of all Americans. That we will probably have to put up with his, I don't know, let's call them his tantrums, is probable but we do still have Mueller and his investigation that may stop trump and force him from office.
Regardless though this inevitable defeat of trump will not sit well with him and that is why he is having such a hard time ending the shutdown. It will confirm to even him that he is not what he thinks he is nor are we what he thinks we are. Pelosi and Schumer have done the bidding of our democratic party to the point of being spot on. We are not amused nor threatened by his cowardly ramblings against us and instead we are even more emboldened when he tries to force us from our principles. He is learning the hard way and in that learning his flailing around is proof that short of some tragic event of his making the toll is due and he is found wanting.
