(#5886) We Americans deserve our stupidity because we are too arrogant to learn

     It is like a badge of honor this stupidity we have allowed ourselves to embrace. I would like to say it is the fault of a privileged mindset but that is to much praise. More likely it is because we are lazy and try to shuffle off what we don't understand to those who pretend to do know what we don't understand. Which is why an obvious conman like trump can be elevated to such a previously honored position. Not only are we Americans good at being stupid we are good at denying we are stupid. It is as if our minds are not capable of distinguishing between good and bad. Or at minimum we are incapable of using the base logic necessary to compute a falsehood.
     The simple math equation of 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 is comparative to the argument premise + premise + premise = conclusion. A different number added into this math equation does not make it correct similarly a lie added to the argument does not make it a truth. It is always a lie when a lie is part of the equation. Real simple here folks. Yet too many refuse to acknowledge the lie as significant enough to change what they perceive as a truth into an actual falsehood. That indicates a willfulness to ignore facts and truths in order to get to their preferred conclusion. That is stupidity regardless of any defense of it. I know life is hard and us believing a fact that doesn't agree with our limited outlooks is difficult, yet it must be done if we are to advance civilization.
     What we get instead is a confusion that not only halts progress but sows disharmony. This constant attraction to our own hoped for outcomes over true outcomes is chaotic because the outcome must be truthful through logic. We cannot have falsehoods parading as truths. Remember, any conclusion of fact must be made up of truths. No lie or falsehood can be part of the process and still make the conclusion true. Everyone on the planet should know that arguments are resolved when only facts and truths are equated together. Somehow we here in America lost the thread on this very important concept and now we are in a terrible state of paying for it.
