(#5902) The rule of law and the Supreme Court

The republican party has been working to manipulate our society so that their version of our future is their reality despite what a majority of our society desires. They do this by corrupting our institutions with exploitations aimed at restricting voting and threats to our way of life. They are trying and succeeding at strong arming our electorate with falsehoods and untrue allegations of criminality. The republican party is not a political party anymore as it has become a cult following. They have found their piper and he is playing their tune nonstop. Giving republicans power over our society is our undoing as a democracy just as the republican party has envisioned.
The republican vision is to rule omnipotently without debate. How the ones who support them cannot see this is almost surreal. Unless of course the supporters of republicans are just as invested in taking down democracy to inject their own prejudices and biases as an authoritarian foundation. Hate and fear is the republican way so those who are still supporting republicans have no shelter left to hide from this truth! Which now brings us to the Supreme Court. There have been signs that this republican dominated Supreme Court is breaking from the republican attempts to dismantle democracy. There is an existential struggle here with the Supreme Court and its reluctance to resign its place in our democracy.
The rule of law has always been the foundation of the Supreme Court yet if the republican party has its way the Supreme Court will be delegated to being a process server for the leaders of the republican party. A few of the republicans on the Supreme Court understand this and are showing signs of disengaging from having their considerations nullified. The current last bastion of a constitutional institutional guardrail is not fully aligned with the republican intention to transfer power to a tyranny. The Supreme Court may yet find its courage and oath to democracy. Heroes are those who stand for the best of who we are when faced with dangers that are real. We will see how much courage the wavering republicans on the Supreme Court can muster for the sake of our endangered democracy.
