(#5893) We survive this one day at a time

      Four years of excruciating reality but it is our destiny it seems. We did this to ourselves because we are not very bright here in America. We think we are but all evidence to the contrary. However though, the coming days that will turn into weeks, months, and years will be our way out. That is the judicial way anyway. Now there could well be extra judicial processes that either make it worse for us or better for us but we haven't seen that yet. All I know is that fighting with everything we have in a rights of species kind of way is what we have. So time is our hope and the better we prepare for the time left under this hideous cadaverous trump is the light at the end of the tunnel.
     I stopped drinking over 18 years ago and I did that by not drinking every day for the last more than 18 years. The same process applies to weather the storm of an idiot who thinks he is smart. Every day we must realize at our first awakening moment that the demise of our democracy and the lives of those who will be harmed by it  is our priority to defend against. All day long as we continue within our lives we need to multi task to our best abilities until we again close our eyes for sleep. Never forgetting that the only way to defeat those forces of brutality and cruelty is to stand on guard ready to react when the moment is ours to enter the battle.
     I am sad that we have to live this way when voting for Harris would have made our hopes and dreams more attainable than the nightmare trump is unleashing without care to the harm it causes. I know there is buyers remorse now that the realization of what trump is going to do is dawning on many but buyers remorse will help no one now. What all of us have to do is stand up when we need to and make sure that no one doubts our authenticity. There cannot be any appeasement nor ignoring. This is the end of the line for democracy in America if we, you and I, do not make it impossible for trump to achieve it. He and his allies, other tyrants and psychopaths, are not going to go away so we have to make them stop as best we can with every defense we can think of.
