Stupid is stupid does (#3433)

I appreciate the movie Forrest Gump for giving us this little phrase which is exactly how I perceive trumps. There is no denying it given the full body of evidence we have gathered since he was officially appointed as President of the United States. From one stumble toward another this guy has shown that his ability to objectively rationalize through reason, analysis and conclusion is missing key parts of the equation. Specifically the reason and analysis parts. He makes a decision based upon polling or right wing advice and then forces it whether or not his republican party or the nation wants it. He alone is the "decider in chief" as he sees it and it doesn't have to make sense regardless of whether it is helpful to us.
His rationale changes as well on many different policies given the blowback he gets from us the citizenry or his own party. Not only does his rationale change but it goes from supporting his policies to not supporting his policies given the strength of the metaphorical wind that blows back against him. In other words he truly is like the reed in the wind that is subject to the direction of the wind. His inability to see more than one or two moves ahead when declaring what is best for our nation puts us at a real disadvantage. Since most if not all of the world is further along in their vision for their policies. We truly have in my opinion the stupidest president currently on the face of the Earth in charge of the greatest democracy on Earth, well at least the greatest democracy on Earth for now debatably.
This time of trump and the systematic control of our nation by his enabling party the republicans will go down in history as the most inept political administration and the most despicable given it's utter disdain of democratic values. When trump was first installed I gave us Americans little chance of getting past his control without all or most of us dying before he was removed. Now I feel our odds are better given we are closing in on the midterm elections where we can neuter the republican party from the ground up. There is much we can do us sane Americans who have been held hostage by this conman and his duplicitous republican party. I look forward to that November 6th day in 2018 with all the hope I can muster and am at least not as fatalistic as I was on November 8th, 2016.
