34 days left until the election (#4260)

No post debate analysis here from me because I know what trump is and would never watch him speak. But I did get some of the highlights of Biden's quips and for what it is worth I am glad he is running for president instead of me. Though Joe cut through to get a couple of one liners in I would have done something criminal instead. Nevertheless trump did himself no favors from what I gathered from American coverage and what I read from some European press. Whether there will be another form of a "debate" at this point is questionable so leaving that alone for now is wise. Instead I will talk this morning about policies.
No doubt there was little talk of policy last night as trump had something different in mind like blowing up the format he had agreed upon. But health care and employment are too important to be relegated to below the fold so to speak while the trump tantrum is all the rage. We are 34 days out from the election and in that time another 10 to 30 thousand at least folks will die from Covid-19. With still no national plan to combat the virus and republican governors itching to reopen despite the infection rate being too high in their states. The deaths and long term illnesses from Covid will keep piling up. With great fear of returning to work with no other option given from the republicans in the senate for another Covid-19 stimulus, our working populace will increase in infections even where the level of infections are low.
Our health care system is under assault as well from republicans and the majority conservative Supreme Court. So as we are being put under terrible choices to keep our families, homes, and vehicles, our own lives are at increasing risk. 34 days until the election and we know that Biden is on the way with help but it will be another 78 days left in trumps lame duck session for him to make matters worse for those of us who are the most vulnerable. Something has to break and all we have is the election as a salve. Hopefully the coward republicans up for election will lose and our nation, as it survives the last throes of trump and his accomplices, will find the inner fortitude to stay alive long enough to get better.
