It has been several years since we have had a good rain drenching from a winter storm. The climate here in the Sacramento valley and many other regions of California has been unseasonably warm without our usual rainfall totals for the year. But not this year. We are starting off in January with plenty of rain to fill our groundwater levels and build up our snowpack. Although it is stormy with gusty winds that could easily cause property damage, it is well welcome by me. With a new start to our nation's politics that are favorable to preventative actions to slow or stop climate change and a steady rainfall to get our state drenched from a long pasty thirst it is a good moment in time for us.
I didn't think I would be writing a post about rainy weather this early morning but here I am with only water coming down from the sky as my laser focus. One silver lining of the Covid-19 virus is that industries had to go into stoppages for a time which did clear our skies and help reduce green house gasses for at least a bit. Our transition into the green energy field at the same time couldn't have been timed better as well. So by necessity we are helping the planet by being forced to protect ourselves from this viral attack. One could reasonably assume that mother nature forced us to stop polluting her with our madness of toxins by forcing us to stop the toxins of this virus within us.
However it has come about our state here in California is one of a wet one over the next few days and that is as welcome an occurrence as any possibility. California can be a mighty breadbasket when our conditions are favorable and hopefully coming out of this pandemic later in the year will also give us a booming agricultural advantage. Many good things happen when we are good stewards of our planet and getting us back into more natural rotations of consistent favorable weather patterns should be the coming mindset with the Biden administration. I know I am looking forward to more rain and the sooner it comes during the rainy season the better we are going to be in the years ahead.
This blog will be an advocate for compassion, curiosity and human survival. When these elements of human nature are being denied, wholly, severally or individually, less than positive human traits are the outcome. It is my wish and hope that my reasonings on a variety of subjects will provide the readers of this blog with personal and public insights. My only motive is to provide a forum for advancing enlightenment. Carl Clark.
