     When you are insecure it manifests itself in one of many ways but in trump's case it seems that his insecurity demands of him to be worshipped and feared. Which is why I think he has a real hard affinity for dictators. They are what he wants to be, his ego lusts for it. The thing is though trump should have tried his luck in another country because here in America there are still too many obstacles for him to overcome to get his wish. I know right now it doesn't seem like there are many real American democracy protecting patriots but behind the scenes surely there have been some great Americans who already, unbeknownst to us, have already kept trump from furthering his sick agenda.
     Maybe after most of us alive now are gone the facts of how trump was thwarted will be revealed. Regardless though I have no doubt that there are and were key Americans who put country over the ease of their own lives just to protect us from what trump may have done had he all the facts. Keeping things from trump that could cost many American lives and the security of our society is a hard choice when the duty of those who are in the know is to pass that information along through the chain of command. Yet there are times when the nullification process must be implemented in order to honor a higher calling.
     Such is probably the case with trump. Keeping a rein on him is paramount when the inverse of not doing so would create immeasurable calamity. How we got to this point is beyond understanding for now but know this, the collusion from the republican senate is without a doubt a fact. Watching mcconnell protect trump and the Russian influences around him can only be a collusion at the highest level. Otherwise in normal situations trump would have already been impeached and removed from office. In fact the reason for the electoral college is to keep people like trump from ever getting appointed so the same with the electoral college process, it ended up enabling trump as well and for that should be dismantled and retired to the waste bin of history.

trump going to the DMZ to get new ideas for his border wall (#3802)

     That trump is so transparent in his acts and thoughts is common so projecting out ahead is pretty simple to do with him. Like his trip to the DMZ to meet with the murderer kim. Getting to see first hand how the barrier between North Korea and South Korea is an effective deterrent to keeping people from each other has to be almost salivating to the dog in trump. His racism is all consuming and anything that feeds it is surely too delicious to pass up. I mean come on, why would anyone want to meet at a strip of land known for death?

     Unless of course you are jonesing for something similar yourself. I wonder what name he would give to his very own DMZ? Too many disparaging thoughts going through my head for now so let us just leave it for now. But the idea that trump would do this is all too real to me. I mean come on, why have just a wall when you can have a wall with concertina wire, battlements mounted with machine guns and mortars, a strip of land between that is filled with landmines and claymores? Playing soldier is still a thing with trump although he doesn't like the real soldier stuff yet playing at it he can build his own monument to racism and not have to put himself in lethal jeopardy.
     His act is so old and his buffoonery so disgusting that there is nothing he would do that will ever get a majority of yays from we Americans unless of course he resigned or suddenly expired. But his need to separate our peoples here in the Americas is deep and his desire to accomplish it monumental. With all things trump as we have all learned it isn't so much his ideas that will harm us it is his trying to make his ideas reality. Fortunately for us trump is a disaster at being thorough and efficient at anything of value which usually dooms his ideas before they get started.

What busing did for me (#3801)

     As a high school student being bused to a more diverse neighborhood school I was actually fortunate for the experience. Of course the usual fears of not knowing were with me initially but very soon those fears diminished as I learned my new classmates as human beings instead of boogie monsters. Like many of us who had been segregated from different races growing up the old prejudices and biases were rooted within us but not so much with me. I have always felt that color is not a barrier to being human. I also was willing to learn about our differences and our commonalities. I went into the experience determined to grow positively from it.
     I was rewarded with getting to know some of the most amazing people who not only had the same values as I but who were willing to fight for those values. I also learned about my own privilege and how I got preferential treatment in the most fundamental of things while they were shunned and condescended to. My anger at my own privilege has never left me and makes me want to fight for minority equality even more to this day. Despite my new friends knowing I was more privileged than they were due to no fault of theirs they still embraced me into their lives and today I still count many of them my friends.
     What busing did for me actually changed the direction of my life and is probably the most influential act in developing me into an honorable person with principled values that I learned as an effect of the busing policy. I would have gone to an all white high school without busing and the chance that I would have been ingrained with the importance of diversity would have been hard to imagine. If we all could share in each others lives with respect and dignity at our formative ages then our world would be less fearful and more welcoming. Busing did this for me and I will forever be a proponent of a more exposed racial experience in our educational system and life in general.

Advanced civilized behavior (#3800)

     Something you will never get from trumps or his republican party. They are all about boorish behavior that punishes the average American citizen and rewards the wealthy. Last night although I didn't watch the event, the word is that the democratic debate was an example of advanced civilized debate. Ideas offered WITHOUT pejoratives or ad hominems. Something we never see with trump or his cult following. A refreshing start to the 2020 presidential campaign that we haven't seen since 2016.
     So I am here to say that an accomplished debate about the present and future of our nation is worthy of note especially since all of the bad policies of the trumps are needing to be protested loudly. Our democracy today is crying for its soul because it has been pierced by the psychotic disregard trumps have for human life. Our democracy can only survive if and only if we are humane. Otherwise we are doomed to a dystopia far more cruel and brutish.
     If we don't live the way we believe then the hypocrisy of our lives will fill the air with a stench so great that not even existence will endure our corruptions. The first rule of life is to live from your heart and then put your mind to it. A mind without a heart is a trump cult member who has to hate and punish as a way to find the illusion of being alive. The equation is faulty and not what makes the human race an advanced group of beings. Tune trumps out (#3799)

     Since the evening trump was declared the appointed president I haven't watched anything trump. For that matter I quit watching cable news as well. Because I know that the narrative around him is deceitful and unhealthy. So no propaganda from trump gets to me unless I see it on the web. Which is fine by me since I control whether to see it. The Democratic debates coming up today will likely give trump the opportunity to spew his disagreements with our party's values and I have no time for his deceptions. So I won't watch the debates but instead will monitor them from the web.
     As with all cable news outlets except fox, the opposing side usually gets to rebut and in no way shape or form will I give the trumps any room inside my head. I know our candidates well enough not to have to watch them with a trumps nearby. We all know trump cannot stand to have someone else in the limelight so he will try very hard to hijack any attention faced away from him. I have better things to do with my time than to listen to someone who exemplifies the worst of what it is to be a human being lie to me.
    By tomorrow morning I will have a full accounting of the debates and see how others who are democrats reacted. I don't need to see the prime time viewing because like some I will not allow the filth of trumps to spoil it. We democrats are on the correct side of society and as long as we stay there the trumps will continue to make absurd outlandish noises that are moot and boorish to civilized minds. The trumps will always have their base of slow and inaccurate thinkers who will cherish them but the majority rest of us just need to stay calm and control our own destiny like mature adults do when the time for standing tall is upon us.

We need to surround the White House with protests (#3798)

     The imagery of a massive protest outside the White House to make our anger known for the acts of trump is needed. There can be no better way to get our point across to trump that he is less than unacceptable. The time has come as we fight tooth and nail to keep our democracy afloat with its checks and balances in jeopardy. Every time our House calls a witness in the House's capacity to investigate the trumps thwart every attempt. This is not how our democracy is supposed to work and as such we all should be angered and ready to march for days and weeks in order to get trump out of our White House.
     He cannot be allowed to be treated as normal when he is such a blatant foe of democratic principles. Our nation will not survive its history if we allow trump to have his way. So standing and marching as near the White House as we can is our only real way of keeping the spotlight on who he is and what rotten realities he presents. I, even on the west coast would entertain a plane ticket for a day or two of protesting if we could somehow organize this to happen. It is that important even for me to go into more debt because with trump still running our executive branch owing money may be the least of my concerns.
     So let's get this started and make the attempt to save our democracy from the cruelly-arrogant-narcissistic-wanna-be-dictator and make our demands that he leave office. If we cannot get millions of people to join us then we deserve him as our controller. The time is now for our voices to reach up beyond our keyboards and games and take back control of our out of control national government. The election is not close enough in days to make that the best choice when we still have 497 days until the election. Too much can happen between now and then and for us not to be fighting against trump as hard as we can every day is just another nail in our own coffins.

Tarnishing our souls with cruelty and hatred (#3797)

     The time right now that we are living in here in America is heartbreaking. Yet through the heartbreak we are also angered to a degree that is white hot and seething. Those of us who cannot stop the trump and his crusade against the innocence of life are being stoked with a determination to end the reign of trump with a fervor unto foreseen in the modern political era. The appointment of trump has been the most ghastly event of our lifetimes with no other president coming close to the intentional harm as a racist and misogynist.
     The history that will follow us from this time will not be comforting nor kind. It will be shameful and a blow to what democracy can do for the world. Which is unfortunate in that democracy can be a great public paradigm when honesty is more important than greed, hatred, and lust. Apparently our society is not there yet even though many of us believe it is possible. What trump has shown us is that there is too much greed, hatred, and lust still within our considerations that we are unable to move past them at this time in our evolution.
     I know myself and it is not what I just described. Yet there are not enough like who I am to offset those who are of a worse nature. At least those who are like me and millions of others have not shown themselves to be. Until then I am stuck with the reality that our nation is a most imperfect one that has no moral or ethical right to exist beyond anything else out there that tries to live in civilized behavior. The stark reality is that trump has shown the underbelly of a camouflaged society living as a just one while practicing and enjoying an unjust lifestyle. Here we are in it, those of us who are not like trumps, but what to do while the masquerade continues?

I know who I am and I am a good person (#3796)

     Still searching for your inner self? Well when you find yourself and are not ashamed of who you are then you can really begin to live your life like happy person. Even in our national Declaration of Independence, the pursuit of happiness is given a prominent role. This much I know. I was like a lost man in my early age after I became an adult and it reflected in the many bad decisions I made. Yet even in my foggy state I kept enough of myself about to keep myself from going beyond what my inner self was telling me. Fortunately I survived my confusion through luck and an inner moral compass that was working even though I couldn't understand it.
     Eventually I found myself and realized that what was best about me was that I had a good soul and was sensitive to life around me. I care about life and seek to understand all my surroundings. I care and I wonder. this is the essence of me. So breaking through all the external barriers of peer pressure and acceptable tradition, I make my own way in the world without the need for religion or any ones by your leave. My inner self is a treasure worth keeping and defending and as such I will always know that who and what I am is a value to the world and no amount of condescension from anyone will ever change that.
     I do not struggle with the temptations of hatred and cruelty. They are abhorrent to me as any denigration that exists. I respect life in all its forms so for me to be any less than what I expect from myself would and could not happen. My life is my own and I am the commander of it. No one steers the course for me I am in charge of my direction and my decisions with full competency in them. I know who I am and it is a good dynamic that others who know me can attest. I may have been under that thick cloud of confusion for an early portion of my life but that part of me is long ago gone. I have lived two lives, the first I stumbled and learned through, and the second that has hearty steps of confidence wherever I go.

You cannot trust the lying republican party (#3795)

     Yet again as an example in Oregon where the republican senate caucus promised not to walkout again in order to get a deal on a previous bill have reneged on their promise and walked out. So if you cannot trust the word as a bond from the republican party then what can you do? Make them put it into writing with self imposed penalties that they cannot shirk? Because we cannot trust their words any longer never should we have given the examples set by trump and his cult followers over the last 2 1/2 years. So what I propose is to make them follow the letter of the law with no room for ameliorating circumstances.
     Because republicans act like addicts, they will say anything and do anything in order to get their way so no language of any sort will ever be convincing coming from them. They must be dealt with as the connivers they are. No compromise nor wiggle room when they promise something in the future in return for their support now. Just make laws and policies based upon the will of logic and common sense. The republican party hasn't much at all to offer so why even bother with their demands? They have proven themselves unworthy as representatives of the best of what our democracy promotes so let them dangle as if they are no more than a nuisance.
     Holding republicans to account with no sensitivity to their comforts. They have run past the line of civility and therefore must be made an example of otherwise their dereliction of duty will become the norm not the exception. I have no respect for anyone who would take the trust of others and deny them their due. Elected officials have a duty to be honest and if honesty is just a trick they use to otherwise fulfill their own agenda then they must be treated as if tarred and feathered while being run out of town on a rail. Bring back the public square stocks and let the dishonest politicians be ridiculed and embarrassed for their nefarious behavior. No more benefit of the doubt anywhere at all for any republican! They must be taught a measured lesson and the lesson must be the full weight in order to deter a future occurrence.

So trump almost started a war last night (#3794)

     For whatever reason that we don't fully know yet trump didn't say go last night when an air strike was planned by him and his war hawks earlier yesterday on Iran. It is early today so the full understanding behind this false start is or never will be understood completely because of the secrecy trump demands us to accept. It is fortunate that whatever it was that stopped him, initial reports that he would likely have caused 150 American deaths notwithstanding, stopped him. He has no clue as to the Pandora's box of difficulty and complexity he would have initiated because he likes to play at being a big shot!
     Well we Americans survived another treacherous day with trump in charge and likely it will be hard every day going forward for us to maintain that. But trump is no blood thirsty goon like his key cabinet ministers so we may get lucky and avoid a full conflict with just about everyone in the world being involved. The trump we know is more likely to run from conflict than to face it so we do have that going for us. Although the migrant problem is different in that they are not a threatening adversary to him so he can treat them as cruelly as he chooses with impunity.
     The space time continuum will not change with anything we humans eventually do to ourselves, even with us no longer part of it, but the idea that trump has the opportunity to reverse modern and enlightened thinking and behavior is abominable to us. He has to go and he has to go yesterday! I don't know how much more we can count on his bullying/cowardly persona to not kill us all but for us to wait to see is tantamount to being cowards ourselves. The best of humanity that there is would not tolerate the destruction of its society by the republican political party and its Manchurian candidate that continues to manipulate honor, justice, equality, and fairness.

Articulation without fail! (#3793)

     At this critical time in our nation's present it is absolutely critical that we define our thoughts in no other terms than specific. There can be no room for assuming that the hearer or reader will be able to connect the dots. We have to make the case for our democratic party positions and the who, when, why, what, and how of them. So many times, metaphorically, we leave the punchline on the floor and wonder why no one is laughing at what we thought was hilarious. Especially now that the time for gathering in our voters is beginning. We have to plainly but specifically identify our policies and the need for them in contrast to what republicans are trying to do and what they are doing.
     The downside to not exactly explaining ourselves is that we make it easy for the republicans to deliberately misinterpret our meaning. So to make sure they have no wiggle room to convolute our meanings we beat them to the punch and define our meanings as we speak. When we have logic and common sense on our side it is vital for us to use it as hard as we can given the nature of the trump voter. We are trying to win over those who can distinguish a good policy that not only benefits them but has no harm to it and compare and contrast with what republicans are offering. Much like with health care where the republican option is to just die we democrats want all of us to strive to live with some form of health coverage for all.
     Regardless of the topic however we have to make our case by calling what we are doing exactly what it is. Hiding from words like socialism and liberal is not how we convince others to join us. Explaining what we want to do with socialism in conjunction with our capitalism and explaining what liberalness does within our society's rules can only help to make our case more attractive than the nothing of value to the majority of us Americans coming from republicans. We must articulate our positions with the most understandable descriptive terms while knocking down the illogical and hatred coming from republicans. We can do this but we must slow down and take the time to explain ourselves as completely as possible.

Only colluders remain with trump (#3792)

     Some people inspire loyalty and some inspire hatred. President Obama inspired loyalty and was never an asshole about what matters to people. While trump inspires hatred and those close to him now are the ones who are like him with something to lose they got unfairly. If not outright collusion at least a dishonest opportunist. So the chance that all of trump's inner circle have been treated with dignity and respect is nil. Given that it isn't surprising that some from early on in the trump administration would be ripe for giving up the goods on trump, we expect the truth to come out on a variety of subjects trump has been desperately trying to hide.
     It is that old adage, what comes around goes around. The fact that trump doesn't inspire loyalty is coming around to get him. Those who can make a deal and slip out of their role in the trump criminal and immoral activities the time is coming real soon. There is no reason to take a fall for a guy who would soon as spit on your grave than thank you. So there is no reason to keep his secrets when his secrets can harm you. Give him up and release the burden of your own culpability. To me it is like trying to protect garbage when it will only come around and stink up your life. Let it go and get a new fresh breath of air.
     There is no hiding for trump as time moves forward so get on the ball and get out in front of the mess that is coming his way. Don't be caught in it just because you have your head screwed up trying to protect a man who is not worth protecting. I know it can be difficult to see the bigger picture but trump will not escape his decisions but those he has been disloyal to can escape theirs where trump is involved. The crack in the trump facade is already under way so make your choice now. Jump ship or go down with it. Your call.

Surviving what is left of trump's appointment (#3791)

     Each day we inch closer to our own election and then it will be the end of trump although he will have a couple of months left after the election. 504 days until the next election and the will of our nation will have its say. There is not one doubt in my mind that the we democrats will carry that day and the jubilation on the streets will be profoundly satisfying. The nightmare that trump has thrust upon us without a care to our well being is about to end but in the meantime we have to survive him. Our House of Representatives is working overtime to thwart him but our courts need to do the same.
     We are at a bit of a headwind with our Supreme Court but I expect that although they are majority republican voters they will not want the Albatross of trump around their necks as a legacy. So short of starting a war as a strategy to bolster trumps we are surely going to need to buckle down and weather his cruelty here at home. Many of us will be hit with his directives as punishment but that is not the kind of thing that will defeat us. Instead it will continue to anger us and in so make his looming loss that much bigger. He, as with Karma, will suffer himself inversely proportional to his behavior and actions.
     I am almost giddy at the thought that we will make him pay for his arrogance and duplicity once he is out of office unless of course he finds friends amongst our enemies and cuts and runs. He will be hounded the rest of his life for his deeds and rightly so. Never in the modern history of our nation has such a huckster been given such grave responsibilities and done so much to hurt those who expected him to be a decent steward. The stain on our democracy is now realized through trumps and no amount of bleach will kill the stench of it.

The false bravado of trump (#3790)

   Well well well, we saw behind the curtain yesterday. The trump has fired 3 of his 5 pollsters because he thinks one of them leaked his internal polling numbers, https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-campaign-fires-pollsters-after-leaked-numbers-show-president-trailing-biden/, for which the United States of America is grateful. When responding to the leaked polling numbers trump naturally said that the polling numbers were really fake, sound familiar? Well well well, it seems as if trump has his campaign strategy in place. Everything that is of a negative nature to him is just fake. We have seen this play out before when we were not experienced at it but since the 2016 campaign we have become much wiser to trump's false narrative.
     So instead of knuckling down and working to improve his numbers across America he will just pretend that his numbers are much better than what reality dictates. Fine with me and surely most everyone else since he wants to play in make believe we should just let him. Meanwhile the rest of us will set about choosing a candidate who speaks to our truths and our needs. This is shaping up to be one of the worst shellackings a sitting appointed president will ever endure and it couldn't happen to a more self absorbed cruel skin bag of bones. His bravado will help him along but his out of touch with reality stance will culminate in his defeat and then his court dates for various high crimes and misdemeanors.
     With the people he has surrounded himself with who are all of the bent knees worshipping trump types it is doubtful that any sense of clarity will enter into his vain glorious self enraptured mind. So the path forward for we democrats is clear. Glean down to our candidate and then all of us support that person and vote for every democrat on the ballot. The Senate is still not locked up for us so we need to be vigilant in our attentions and support so that when November 3rd. arrives we wipe the republicans out of leadership off the public political board and then begin the next new rehabilitation of our democracy.

My animal children (#3789)

     Today is fathers day and as such I want to thank my father for being in my life as well as my little animal children for doing the same. I never did have any children of my own but I have had my little animal children and to them I am their daddy. It is amazing to me just how much of a bond I have with my charges and their bond with me. Seems I can't go anywhere in this house or the yard without one two or all three of them trailing behind or out front. I had four but I lost my little young cat Artie to some kind of poisoning from the neighbors yard as his little doggie died as well. No intent just something bad that happened to both our little animals.
     Anyway, I have my three and they are such a comfort to me. I have to tend to their upkeep everyday but it seems like nothing at all in the scheme of things. I care for them like they are precious so their value to me is immeasurable. That typifies what it is to be responsible for the lives that depend on us whether we are a father or mother. More than anything it exemplifies our nature to nurture not only for our own species but for all other species we bond with. The human experience is the most remarkable feature in the whole of the Universe. Surely there are grander events but none that reaches into the depth of what anything else experiences.
     So today we will live our lives like any other day which is the greatest tribute to what a father can be. The rock steady event of being there regardless of chaos or peace. I won't think another thought today about my own life but I will talk to my dad and wish him a happy day for all he has and still does for me. so when I get fresh water out or pet my little children it will be with the same love today as it is every day. We may celebrate a father's day every year but I have something even more glorious, I get to live fathers day every day of my life.

No going back for trumps (#3788)

     It won't matter what disgusting treasonous thing the trumps do they will double down on it before they would ever admit they were wrong. We know this already first because trumps have never apologized for doing anything wrong and second they have already backed their wrongness with even more wrongness. So what we the American democratic society must do is rebuff them at all turns. Never giving them a moment to catch their breaths. They are wrong and we must hold them to account in every way.
     If we the American people let them off the hook just once it will be the end of us as a political force. Because trumps are looking for a seam to break our defense against them. They will be relentless in taking any inch we give them and before we know it the inch will be 1000 miles long. There is only one way to combat trumps and that is to call them out and never stop calling them out. Their end time is coming soon as there are today only 507 days left until our next national election. So for nearly 2 1/2 years we have found a way to keep our democracy and what time is left should be doable for us.
     When the trumps are out of office they know they will be vulnerable to our laws and customs and as such they will fight to stay in power with every tactic they ever learned. You should know like the many of us already do that any tactic, fair game or not will be used by them. But our steadfast approach to standing up to them and speaking the truth to their illusory power should prevail in a big way come November 3rd. We just have to not let the trumps make war where no war is needed or deserved and then keep them from legislating unjustly against we the American democratic society.

Nightmare about a Supernova (#3787)

     Scary stuff dreaming about an impending supernova coming to our solar system and ending all as we know it. Yet that is how vulnerable we are to some reality ending event short of what we are living through with trumps. Although we know life is fragile to the chaos of our Universe we were all raised to believe we were not in any imminent danger from the cosmos for millions of years. Enough time as modernity progressed for us to have other alternatives for planetary living other than in our own galaxy. Yet this dream last night was not so much fiction as a real splash of cold water on my face.
     It got me to thinking. What if what we were told is not so? What if a supernova event is about to happen or has already happened and is on it's destructive path toward us? Well surely the telescopes of the world cannot be in collusion at least we would think. However unlikely an extinction level event is about to occur it brings home to me that with all this current nonsense with trumps and the backward thinking of his cult followers, ie... the republican party, that we are not on a path of modernity but a path toward antiquity and that would leave our species vulnerable to that which we could well have outmaneuvered.
    This is why I despise the republican party among other things like their greed, selfishness and cruelty. They are taking the enlightenment of our species and turning it upside down. They disdain education and research for all of us like they foolishly believe that most of us cannot be intelligent. What republicans don't understand is that their lack of societal ambitions for all of us have made most of us less than ideal to contribute to our society. Thus an endless cycle of swirling down away from enlightenment we go. Our species is greater than that and until we get rid of the republicans and their disabuse of our true heritage of intellectual comprehensiveness we become more vulnerable to that awful supernova event that I dreamt about last night.

Honorable people live better lives (#3786)

     I know this one as a fact. Not only from my own experience but from others around me throughout my living time. I had not always been an honorable person. When I was in my cups I was less than honorable too much of the time. But now that I have been out of my cups I am the best version I have ever been of what honor I could live by. I try always to do and say the right things that uplift our society and its members when that is what is needed. Often though I am railing against the worst of what our society is by those who deliberately choose to be dishonorable and inhumane.
     I don't blame those who are unfortunate in life like most all our homeless and poverty stricken folks. I blame those who have the power to change that paradigm and yet do nothing or worse make it worse. Greed is an all consuming vice that many have chosen over the virtue of humanitarianism. For them they know that life is short and all they want out of it is everything regardless of the wake of damage they leave trailing behind. For me, it is the opposite. I want to leave a legacy of kindness and care that surpasses the limits of my ability to make the world better. I do this by giving the little I have even when it means I go without.
     I do not know why we all exist on this finite planet or how it all came to be, yet I don't act like it was all for me. What I do know is that when we all can smile at each other and have a good chance for a decent life we are all better off for it. Our hearts may be troubled at times due to the whirligig of misfortune but we all know that we are in this together and as such never try or think about leaving any of us behind. We are the human species an amazing biological specimen that has shattered the known history of cellular evolution. Yet our disdain for our incredible human heritage is what will destroy the lot of us because we cannot see that nothing honorable exists unless we all do.

The intent of gerrymandering is to cheat the electorate (#3785)

     Sure, put all the one party's voters in one district and then just barely win the other districts to keep a majority political lock on not only congressional but state legislatures. This is how the republican party has kept it's majorities throughout this decade. The Supreme Court of the United States is about to rule on the legality of gerrymandering and with a 5 seat republican majority on the court republicans are confident that they will get a favored ruling on their ability to cheat. The verdict is coming any day now and it will not shock anyone if the republicans get to keep their gerrymandered districts except those of us who believe in honest and fair elections.
     You would think that the Supreme Court would be above politics but we have seen that conservative ideology will never bow to democracy when the opportunity to advance the republican agenda is at stake. So party over democracy is their calculus. Yet the petty small minded nature of the party over democracy crowd will not last forever and when the time comes for an end to such small minded thinking we can then restock our Supreme Court with souls who place democracy and our constitutional guarantees above all other things in existence. For now though we have the Roberts court that will not shine in the light of greatness when the future looks back at the past.
     That may change somewhat if gerrymandering is struck down in the next few days but holding one's breath for that outcome is most likely a suicide waiting to happen. The gang of 5 republicans in the Roberts court has little to do with upholding democratic principles such as voting rights for all of its citizens so anything more than what their track record is cannot be assumed. I have resigned myself to the question of gerrymandering remaining a viable alternative after the verdict but I know in my heart and my mind that unequal representation is not a hallmark of wise counsel nor sound democratic principle.

Always vote for democrats (#3784)

     I know not all democrats are really good, a few are downright close to being republicans but even those few will vote for positive change when the time comes. so the rule of thumb is to never vote for a republican and always vote for a democrat. Because even the best most decent republicans there are still want to harm the American working middle poor class due to their conservative philosophical outlook. They are the ones who say that none of us deserves a break unless we make it ourselves. Yet they are constantly taking advantage of privileges they only see as owed to themselves.
     They, republicans, live in a hypocritical world where only democrats and ignorant republican voters are the enemy. Everyone else is above the pull yourself up by your bootstraps mentality. I am all for being motivated to become successful but no one is beyond needing help from many to achieve it. Yet republicans state that we must be above needing help to succeed. Funny how so many of them are wealthy because of inheritance and could never themselves have achieved the wealth they were born with. Yet they refuse to acknowledge that and instead blame those who are poor to start with for their own lot in life.
     As many poor folks have found out when you do try to use the levers of financial help to build a business the banks and other money lenders are quick to make terms that stifle and throttle back a poor person's intentions. Because the lenders feel that the idea is always secondary to the money needed to start the enterprise, they want a huge payout for their money loaned. Instead of becoming successful on the merit of hard work and ingenious ideas, the republicans want to become wealthy off of having money. The difference between someone who spends money for profit and someone who created a productive idea through ingenuity is often balanced far more heavily on the money than the innovative concept. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps my ass!

There are more working middle poor class members than republicans (#3783)

     So why do we let the republicans continue to destroy our futures? We can vote them out just with our block of people. Are there really that many of us who cannot see the that our buying power has not budged in the last 40 years? https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/08/07/for-most-us-workers-real-wages-have-barely-budged-for-decades/. Is there some delusional thought among us that tells us that we don't deserve a larger piece of the pie we are helping build with our time and energies? Nothing works in America unless the working middle poor class is a huge part of it. Nothing! So why do we let republicans continue to tell us that we are unworthy?
     The time for this crap to end is yesterday, but since we are here today it must end today or as soon as possible. Every election going forward has to see an end of republicans in public office. With enough elections behind us there should be no republicans left or very few because some areas vote on matters beyond constitutional guarantees like hatred and ignorance. Yet the vast majority of areas vote on common sense, logic and democratic principles. So let us not waste any more time getting our society back into the shape it should have remained well over 40 years ago. A time when jobs for the working middle class were always a rung up toward the working upper class.
     I remember those times well and it was unions who helped tremendously to structure wages and benefits that were fair and livable. Yet the republican party under reagan and since then has been methodically wiping out all those gains while also dismantling unions who were the backbone of the working middle poor class. This is how republicans view our working middle poor class. They hate that the wealthy have to share with others who help them become wealthy. It is akin to a large group finding a treasure and then a few of the group cutting out all the rest so they can have more. None of us would stand for such tactics yet we keep voting for republicans who are all about those kinds of tactics. Enough!

The national disgrace of migrant abuse and killings (#3782)

     This to me is the most horrific of the crimes the trumps have committed and that is saying a lot considering trump's anti planet, women, race and intelligent wars. The deaths, rapes and abuses to these souls who came here looking for a better life is beyond repairing. Somehow the trumps must be stopped and as quickly as possible. I am so embarrassed by our nation's inability to stop this shame of making people into not only property but garbage as well. We have some racial groups in our nation who already feel like that and with trumps it is getting worse for them as well.
     I sit here and write about my outrage yet there is little I can do but rail to anyone who will listen. I am so sickened in my soul by trumps and their corrupting, murderous policies that the powers in Washington seem to be able to do little to prevent. There has to be a time where the honor of our nation supersedes the necessity of our wallets. I don't know what egregious act triggers that decision but obviously we haven't found it yet. This too shall pass is not enough of a salve to stop the carnage that keeps happening every single day from trumps and their agenda to destroy anything that is good and decent about our society.
     What is happening at our southern border is akin to ethnic cleansing in the early stages. Where trumps make us immune to the smaller atrocities against these travelers for a better life and then up the ante to making them more expendable without justification. The trump hard line of ending immigration even to death is arrogant and psychopathic. What gives this appointed interloper to our government the right to make grave decisions that upend our own moral compasses? How can we sit here, even me, and do nothing much but accept the trumps decree? As heartbroken as I am I am also riled with an intensity that belies my calm demeanor. The trumps must end now, even before the next election, sooner than later for the sake of all our futures.

Democrats will control all of our national government in 2020 (#3781)

     What has been the worst period of time since 2016 will then, on election day November 3rd. 2020, become a triumph of will and determination. A collective sigh of relief will emanate from most all our lungs while the rest of the air will be filled with jubilation and utter euphoria. I know this because the time of trumps and their thieving partners the republicans are continuing to dig their own graves through their inaction on legislation while destroying our society in every other way. There is no middle ground for republicans to claim since they have destroyed every bridge back to compromising with we democrats.
     That type of arrogance and intentional obstruction of our working middle poor class offers us little to no incentive to keep them around any longer. Yet the base of republicans is noisy enough to keep republicans thinking that they still have a chance to destroy our country and have us praise them for it. Practically since trump was appointed president he has had negative approval ratings unlike anything seen in the modern era, https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/.      Yet the 2018 election started to solve that low voter turnout from the 2016 presidential election where 46.9% of the voters didn't bother to vote. In 2018, a midterm year where voting turnout was historically low, that changed. 2018 saw a record turnout for a midterm with 49% of eligible voters voting. Because we know this enthusiasm from the 2018 midterm is still on an upswing we can extrapolate out that this next presidential election will have the greatest participation rate from voters yet seen in American politics. None of this bodes well for republicans and does benefit democrats everywhere. The end of trumps is coming and so is the end of any majority republicans currently have.

Science is smarter than opinion (#3780)

     It gets so tiring listening to people tell me that they know there is no man made climate change problem. I guess they heard someone who is of like mind tell them that it is just a delusion or hoax. Good enough for them despite all evidence to the contrary. When did not believing in science become so plausible? I suppose it was when these people got behind in understanding processes and now just choose to ignore facts they don't like. No hard thinking involved in that, unlike with science and it's logical sequencing. People who give up on trying to understand the simple to the complex only harm themselves and all those around them.
     Unfortunately that is where we are now with so many who have dropped out on a life of learning and choose instead to live a life of fantasy. And yet they call us who use the scientific method, delusional. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! It is once again a propaganda tool to call others what you yourself truly are. I don't spend any time at all arguing in the form of debate with those who will not try to understand the concepts of reasoning, analysis and conclusion. They don't want to be persuaded to change their outlook they only want for us to stop being logical. Which is why I don't spend any time with them and their agenda to be dangerously chaotic.
     Instead I just keep calling them out for their lack of perspective and hope others will challenge themselves to do a little research and discover reality for themselves. I am not here to tell anyone what to think, I am here to say that to think you must be able to see what is possible. Being comprehensive, ie. thorough, and objective, ie. impartial, is the basis to begin and then let the facts and truths speak for themselves. Those who have no inclination as to how to come to a conclusion other than taking someone else's opinion as truth and fact are only betraying their own sense of individualism.

Don't quit on solving problems (#3779)

     Like what I heard in the movie the The Martian, solve one problem and then another and if you solve enough problems you get to come home, paraphrased. It is like that in real life as well. When faced with a problem I tackle solving it until I can't solve it then I work to get help until I finally find a solution. Because what I have learned is that there is always, and I mean always a solution if you keep looking. Such is the case now with our national politics. There is obviously a problem and no amount of denial will change that. So what do we do about it? We look for solutions everywhere and anywhere.
     Not extrajudicial solutions but solutions that are acceptable and normal. Logic dictates that for every action there is an equal inverse reaction. A sort of cost/benefit protocol where nothing is static. So in that logic is where we will find our solution. I am not wise enough to know what that solution is but at least I know to push forward into actions and behaviors for answers. We always have an out in the form of elections but even our elections are being manipulated so an ever increasing likelihood of inaccuracy is possible. I would prefer to elect a new government but as well I would like to see a cost/benefit rationale applied to trumps.
     A Karmic solution is my hope as the justice of such things should be our goal. Those who make the world worse should be treated as such with no quarter given! Another lesson I have learned from never giving up on finding a solution is that everyone becomes clear to the idea that no deed of disrepute will be unpunished. When we hold ill behavior to account then the ill behavior loses its advantages. Our species has had to evolve through what we were to who we are now and that charging of the mettle is a process of awakening and perseverance. We will get through this era of trump because the best of who we are will never let the worst of who we are overcome us!

We can do much better as a society (#3778)

     We are not some human being species that is less than intelligent. We are more than the worst of our natures and mindsets. So why can't we seem to get ourselves together enough to make our living experience one worthy of our potential? Because the current powers that be have other plans and them making something off of us is their goal. They think of we humans as property or a resource just waiting to be used. Why would they want all of us to have more than a life of hardship and suffering if they can't make something off of us? So the only way we can get a better life for ourselves and our future generations is to take the reins of power and actualize it ourselves. 

     No one is going to remake our world better for us so it must be us that does it. First off here in America we have to get rid of republicans in political office. That is the start then we have to make sure that a progressive agenda is prioritized above other interests. Our planet needs progressive policies. Our mentally and physically ill need progressive health care. Our brothers and sisters who are stigmatized as others need their democracy to be equal to the democracy of the current privileged and advantaged. Our women need to have equality in our society in every facet of it. The list goes on and on but one constant remains, a progressive approach that has all the interests of our citizens at heart.
     We do this through elections. So every person in America needs to be responsible for finding a way to make sure they are not only registered to vote but who actually vote when the voting time comes. There is nothing in this existence as important as our vote if we want our world to be a better place. In just over 500 days we will be voting on a national level for the most important public positions in our democracy but in the meantime there are state elections coming up that must reflect the direction our nation needs to head if we are going to be what our foreparents dreamed we would be one day.

The trumps cancer in Great Britain (#3777)

     The English are getting a close up and personal look at the disease we Americans have had and are still enduring. Good! Nothing like being away from the comfort of their protectors the republican led Senate to expose the vile and decrepit nature of the worst appointed leader of the previous liberty seeking colony. So although America gained its liberty hundreds of years ago it is now in danger of losing it to the tyrant wannabe trump. That he is away from our shores has scenarios dancing in my head but nonetheless his corruption is being given new viewership from abroad.
     Hopefully this state visit by the trumps will open the eyes to right wing Americans who have their preconceived notions about what they are brainwashed into believing is correct and good about trump. They will be getting all the news about protests, video, picture, and balloon projections, and country field cutting shapes, to form new opinions about their illusory leader. The British people will pull no punches in demonstrating to the world that trump is an interloper with no good deed as intent. This is a great moment for we who know who trump is and his ill intent and want others to know as well.
     It is my hope that the political drubbing he takes over there will translate into a message for him that despite his oversized ignorant ego, we the people of this planet have no such time for his and putin's self glorification processes. No doubt trump will be very eager to get away from what he thought would be a crowning and instead is a berating. He will also learn that there are few places left in the world where he can expect any herald of good repute. Even North Korea has had enough of his bullshit and what is left is nothing short of disgraceful for any real president of the United States to entertain himself with.

Patience and fortification (#3776)

     This is my template for readying myself for combating the trumps. During these last 519 days before the next election I can only remain within myself and build up my arguments for ending the trumps from public office. Now if there is a march of some sort that I can participate in then I will go outside myself and protest with vigor. But in the meantime I can only continue to be comprehensive in my deliberate desire to expose the trumps for the callous hypocrites that they are while building my case against them to present when the voting time comes.
     I am no different than many millions of other like minded souls who have had enough of the reckless insensitive behavior and ideas of the most vile of appointed persons to have ever grifted our presidency. With all the republicans in the Senate bowing to trump there is no chance that an impeachment proceeding will do anything to change the status quo. With the Mueller report limited by its scope to not include an indictment of trump there is nothing more beyond the next election that will actually remove trump from office less his early retirement or expiration.
     So patience is my choice of demeanor and fortification of facts and truths through logic and common sense is my mission. I will be ready when the heat of the election comes into focus and nothing the trumps can do with their disinformation will divert me from my chosen path. Time is what it is and the clock is ticking on trump. Each passing day we get closer and closer to that glorious day when we democrats have our presidency back from the huckster traitor republicans and our Senate is once again ruled through majority by Democrats. This is my expectation and to make that expectation come to fruition I am waiting and readying myself to fight with all that I have.

Solving a hard problem here at home (#3775)

     My morning was so busy today that I forgot all about posting a blog post. I just remembered now and have nothing since I am dead beat tired. But I can explain how I forgot and why. My morning was full of trying to figure out an electrical problem I encountered when with the new hall bathroom ceiling vent fan. This old house is not like the modern homes where the wiring is much easier to understand. Yet I tried and for almost a day and a half I was baffled by how i couldn't get the spark I needed on a circuit for the fan and heat lamp to operate.
     Early this morning I was mulling it over in my head and after trying many permutations of how the wiring should work it dawned on me that the power source I was trying to start from was the switch from the light fixture. It wasn't a direct power source like from an electrical outlet that is on a loop from the circuit box. this light switch was just a loop with the light fixture. So I had to go into the wall and find an outlet from which I could attach a wire directly back to my switch. I did find one real close and after cutting some sheet rock back to expose the outlet wiring box I was able to rewire my new ceiling fan/ heat lamp and get the fan working.
     All of that while I was scheduled to cook the big breakfast this morning. So just as I put sheet rock back on the wall, for mudding in a day or so I was right into the kitchen working my breakfast magic. Which was how I was able to forget to get my blog post written. Because it is my habit to write my posts first thing in the morning with my first cup of coffee. But that didn't happen this morning and now just as I was about to turn all the gadgets off it dawned on me that I hadn't written a word yet. So getting this done right now is just a testament to my ability to push through the sleepy eyes in my head and get something down that isn't kin to absurd. :)

The arrogant pettiness of trump (521 days until the next election) (#3774)

     I didn't think I would start with this title, since I first typed (The pettiness of trump) and then deleted it and thought for about 2 seconds and then typed (The arrogant pettiness of trump). Obviously I am writing about this and to make my point was the anger at myself for initially deleting the first title. Because I know most of us know that trump is petty and writing a whole post about that would not have been a worthy post. Yet when I added in his arrogance I then felt that the post would have real grit to it and be worthy of being told. I rail at trump all the time so one more post aimed at him is nothing new but I am pissed off at him and would love nothing better than to square off against him.
     His arrogance toward McCain is unbelievable hypocrisy. McCain served his terms in the Armed Forces while trump skipped the draft numerous times with a less than honorable, in his case, bone spur excuse. So for trump to go to the extraordinary effort to hide the naval vessel from view that holds McCain's name is the epitome of an arrogant pettiness. Fr me trump was a coward all those years ago for using the medical deferral route when he could have been either a military man or a conscientious objector and went to Canada to show his principled resolve. But no, he used the wealthy option of creating a disorder to evade military duty. The cowardice that takes is measurable and given now trump's arrogant petty display shows the depth of trump's cowardice.
     I will never in this reality stop trying to put people like trump in their place. Which of course is in the public square for ridicule and belittlement when all he and his ilk had to do was to show some remorse for his past behavior. But it seems the cowardly low esteem trump is inflicted with can only be manifested in his narcissistic/psychotic arrogant petty exemplification. I throw in psychosis because if not totally psychotic he carries enough of the traits to evidence at least an Occam's Razor likely probability. The stain of trump is uncharacteristic of our intelligence as a nation and his appointed presidential end date should always be sooner than later.
