Racism is a mental disorder (#3297)

There is nothing good that comes from allowing oneself to be a racist. Yes, allowing oneself is how one becomes racist. It is a choice! We are not born racist we are taught to be racist or we let our fears and/or our jealousies overrule our respect for others who are not us. The simple and plain fact is that we are all human beings. Yes, we are all the same species of Homo sapiens, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_sapiens. That we have a different "look" to us is our proof of diversity within our species. We are not all cookie cutter prototypes we are an evolved species with different attributes acquired through different environmental and geographical factors. This is fact and there may not be any dispute to the truth of fact.
So allowing oneself to be racist is a choice to differentiate between the variety within our species is a failing on the part of those who do. Because nothing good can come of being racist. Nothing! So why are there so many racists among us and what does that tell us about how we are educated to distinguish fact from fiction? It is obvious that to inculcate racism is illogical and therefore must have some other nefarious purpose. Yet others do not see themselves as racist even though their words and acts tell a different story. A story of not so much of a nefarious strategy but of a misconception about race that is encultured through a variety of ways including through belief systems. Allowing fiction to rule over fact is a common occurrence as well.
Yet all the reasons for being racist are still wrong and do not help our society along when the consequences of racism are ongoing, insufferable and deadly. All of us must have the responsibility of our choices and by that we are culpable when we allow racism to exist. There is anger out there in the world for past acts and there is anger in the world for current acts but for the future there is no excuse for being racist unless that is the goal. If that is the goal then own it and then explain to the rest of us how the illogic of hating our species is a good thing when we all know it is not! Go ahead and tell me and anyone else who is listening why anyone would think that they are better than anyone else when we are all of the same species. Go ahead, I am waiting to hear your reasoning...
