Our greatest achievements have come from liberal policies (#3324)

A society whose aim is to improve the lives of its citizens is a society that is healthy and expanding, https://www.brookings.edu/research/governments-greatest-achievements-of-the-past-half-century/. This word equation is done through mighty efforts to right the wrongs of the past and present. There is a lot of work to do but the trajectory is still the majority will of our nation. However right now we are in a holding pattern and a backward failing in many critical areas as the current republican regime does not measure achievement the way the majority of us do. They see achievement as the government being reduced to nothing more than a military and police action.
Well the rest of us do not see our strength as a nation in only force. We see our strength in the acts that lift society up with our needs for health and a strong vibrant economy that rewards all who work hard and endeavor. From government taking us to the stars and lifting our souls and our imaginations to government providing the essential needs of infrastructure, disease control and humane working conditions etc... The republicans do not appreciate government the way that most of us do and they are hell bent to destroy the architecture of government so that it can no longer suit the needs of our society. Instead they want their survival of the fittest, dog eat dog, reality to be the prevailing nature of our society.
Where would we be without government passing laws that protected the right to vote as well as expanding the right to vote for all of us citizens? Where would we be without the government protecting the air, water and food supply all of us count on? Where would we be without the government improving the lives of us older Americans by giving us the type of economic and medical insurance and that eases our efforts to remain alive? Where would we be without the government improving educational opportunities for our children to bring them into a more modern and intellectually driven world? Where would we be without the research and development that our government does to spur innovators and products for our market driven economy? We would not be America if not for our government's foresight to expand the base of our knowledge while increasing the chances for our survival as a nation!
