After trump, we will find our way back home (#3445)

Listening to Winwood and Clapton perform their classic hit reminds me that with trump, this too will pass. I was anxious after his installation in 2016 that we would not survive him and his belittling conman ways but it seems come November we will begin to reverse his theft of our American dreams. We Americans are now awakening from the lull we were in. That trump has given us that is the only silver lining. How long it takes us to find our way home is our dilemma but we will do it no matter how long it takes. Getting back to where we were before the trumps will be a big lift and maybe not in the rest of my lifetime but it will occur.
America has a big black and blue eye from the punch trump has given us but we will not mask it and instead admit our weakness. For if there is one thing that gets us back on our feet faster it is in facing the truth of our culpability. We allowed a most nefarious creature to be lifted up high by a republican political party that has nothing much at all to do with democracy. We Americans did this to ourselves. We are fallible and there will be no denying it. We are not some chosen race or creed of folks destined for greatness above all others. We are as simple and foolish as any who would be king. We will learn from this and it will be painful for awhile until we get back to being a good forward thinking humble nation.
A nation that reaches out to all and to the stars with the same vigor we have for our own lives. To be as selfish as we are now is inconsistent with progress and modernity. I have always been a child of the future and no doubt most all of us are. Living in the past and being satisfied with the present is not American it is anti-American. We are the force behind what could be an imagining beyond our wildest dreams but first we must shake off the shackles of hatred and greed. Enough really is enough. More than enough is a waste and makes for a hardship for others. We Americans have better within us and it will be time to show the world soon. The end time for this crazy paradigm is near and every day we close in on it is another satisfying breath for me.
