95 days left until the election (#4199)

     49 days until Minnesota and South Dakota begin their early voting, https://www.vote.org/early-voting-calendar/. Can you feel the closeness of the election? I sure can and it feels so damn good! Here in California we vote 29 days earlier than November 3rd so in 66 days I will be able to cast my ballot, for every democrat on the ballot, and that I will do as early as possible. 95 days doesn't seem like a long time compared to the how long we have had to endure the criminal trump and his republican accomplices. The beauty of what time is left is that trump and his allies have no way of passing any legislation that is harmful to the working middle poor class while Nancy Pelosi sits in the House speakers chair.
     So we have to put up with trump and his temporary executive orders which by my count at least 99% of them are going to be reversed on the first day of the Joe Biden presidency. What has been great about how technology is incorporated into our lives is that nothing trump has done through executive order to dishonor our nation can be hidden from us once he is removed. We know what he has done and the record of it has been compiled so reversing his mess will be done simply by extinguishing his executive orders. As to legislation, the only thing of note that he got passed by the Congress was the wealthy tax cut law. But when we democrats retake the Senate and improve our numbers in the House we can easily pass new legislation that revokes those tax cuts and actually add taxes to the wealthy.
     In 95 days the best of what it is to be a liberal/progressive is going to be our new reality. We will annex the worst of republicanism to irrelevance and guide our nation forward with equality of opportunity, logical intelligence, and unfettered fairness, as our guiding principles. No more shall the wealthy, through advantage and privilege, control the narrative as to how society is to be shaped. That will be what we the people decide and I cannot wait for that new paradigm in American politics to begin. 49 days for some states and then a flurry of others just after that begin the early voting and it is then that we will be banking up votes for our new President Biden so that when November 3rd rolls around we will be able to declare that trump has been defeated early on in the evening, even before all the polls have closed on the west coast.

96 days left until the election (#4198)

     With the continuing downsizing of our economy and growing strain on our unemployment program republicans are fiddling. They have not even yet begun to negotiate with senate democrats on the stimulus bill that is weeks too late already. They have offered their version of a stimulus plan that is not even a majority opinion in their own caucus. the insanity of all of this on top of today's release of the economic reality in America is a dereliction so extreme that the republican party should be crushed when the voting time comes. Even that, the coming election, is now being floated as illegitimate by an illegitimate appointed president.
     Who in their right mind could have foreseen the absolute implosion of the republican party and our economy? Not only has the trump talking point of a strong economy evaporated nearly overnight but his handling of the pandemic has been so atrocious that we are all in danger of unnecessary deaths beyond any imagination. There have already been a massive amount of unnecessary deaths but that is still just the beginning. Forcing children back into schools where the virus is just waiting to infect is worthy of a death sentence to those who are pushing this. It would be my recommendation to convict of murder any politician who forces a child into school and then that child should die.
     I keep looking at the polling numbers and that trump is still polling within a shot of being returned to the presidency is beyond imaginable to me. He is an utter failure who has no real emotion for all of we Americans. Yet his supporters are of such a denial of reality that they are constantly unable to move from their loyalty to the worst appointed president in the history of our nation. The cult of trump is such that there will always be enough of them to cast some little doubt that trump will be defeated yet the rest of us if we can get our votes counted will surely swamp them with a huge blue tidal wave. The future of our nation is in our hands and what we do with that come November 3rd will tell the tale.

97 days left until the election (#4197)

     Every force we the people have at our disposal must be ready to be employed to put trump and barr in a cocoon of sorts so that they are squeezed so tight that they can't maneuver. Those two are the problem and the only cure we have for now is to limit what they do. This is so important because the election is at stake. What those two might do to undermine our elections is worse than anything russia or any hacker may try. We are under an assault by this current administration unlike anything we have had to endure since World War II. The tension right now is more than psychological it is being felt physically by our protesters in several states.
     I know there is real concern about a stimulus package that will alleviate tens of millions of fears for life as we know it but even worse is losing our democracy to a madman who would then extinguish our constitution and bill of rights and turn us into russia or worse nazi Germany of 1940. What legal maneuverings we have will have to be good enough to survive these last 97 days until Joe Biden is elected and then the 78 days of lame duck time left for trump. Whether we have to help each other in every way possible or defy the law to stay in our domiciles we must find a way to keep our heads up and our spirits in order so that this battle for the soul of our nation is not lost to a two bit conman and his ass sucking sycophants.
     We know the problem so what we have to do is stay level headed and work to solve it. One problem solved at a time and before you know it we will be at the election day. 97 days will fly by so make sure we are all prepared to participate without fail. There is absolutely nothing more important in the existence of time and space for our human population here in America than to vote in this coming election. Nothing! No personal agendas nor business opportunities are as important as the continued advancement of our democracy! This is not a drill nor a conspiracy theory. There are already too many who are not taking any of this seriously which can be measured by the current polling. Why every American is not abhorred at the current state of the administration of our federal government is why those of us who are aware must never relent nor give into a false sense of security.

98 days left until the election (#4196)

     14 weeks left until the election. There were 208 weeks left on November 8th, 2016 so now with only 14 weeks left we are getting real close to the voting time. Better yet, in Minnesota and South Dakota, early voting begins in 52 days. With many states following shortly thereafter. I just signed up to track my mail in ballot here in California. So that I am sure that it is not only mailed out to me but that it is delivered to the elections office once filled out. Because I will not hesitate to vote for all democrats on my ballot but as quickly as possible so that it goes back out in the mail the very next day.
     With what trump is doing with our post office in slowing down the mail delivery I may even drop it off at the elections office downtown if possible. I live in California and I still worry about if my ballot will be counted. That is good that I am worried about my vote and it would be correct and good for all to worry about their vote. The trumps have no strategy to earn our votes so they only have available the strategy to deny our vote. They will do whatever it takes to secure a victory over the will of the people so just know that our vote is the only thing that can stop them. They are not good people who DO NOT have our general welfare at the heart of their agenda, on the contrary, they are against our general welfare in most all ways.
      The days are getting shorter for our great hope of making Joe Biden our 46th president as well as creating a new democratic majority in the Senate while maintaining and increasing our majority in the House. We must also win as many state house seats that are possible to win so that we have opportunities to not only control a fair redistricting process but to pass laws at the state level that benefit the working middle poor class that has been left behind through republican rule. A new era of politics is coming and although it is still just a dream the reality will begin with the vote counting on November 3rd. Remain vigilant in our quest to get our vote out and make sure our votes are counted.

99 days left until the election (#4195)

     Well now, we have finally arrived at 99 days until the election. We are in double digits for the next 90 days and then we are at the doorstep of our long sought change in our federal government. It may seem like trump will create enough chaos to destroy our democratic process of elections but he will not be able to get away with it. There are too many of us who are prepared to do what needs to be done to protect democracy from being disrupted. I will not go into specifics but you may consider that all our safeguards will be employed if necessary. I do believe that trump will not be able to push us to the brink but we must be prepared if he does.
     I think about how our society has been formulated and the best of what it can be under that formulation and that is exactly what I fight for. I will not accept the democracy we had previous to trump because it was more imperfect than perfect. What I want is a better concept that has rational and enlightened procedures that endear to our souls democratic principles instead of weakening them. I fight for all of us to have the real pursuit of happiness and that same principle being off shored to our allies and eventually our current enemies. but we cannot do that unless we ourselves are the fortress where democratic principles are loved and protected.
     Each of us has a duty to our nation and if you think that you can shirk your duty let me remind you that you were fortunate to be born in America. Where if you put your mind and heart into democratic principles your life can know no better reward of freedom and liberty. I used to think that ignoring my duty to my nation was okay. Because it seemed so easy to skate through life with all the benefits that afforded with none of the work required to keep those benefits. I wasn't the only one who used the bad in our society to escape. But I and those who were like me were fooling ourselves. We were abdicating the best of who we were to create a hollow society and now we are seeing some of that effect. I changed my ways decades ago but I have a hand in the bad that we have, and I for one will not let the bad win out the day any longer!

100 days left until the election (#4194)

     Today marks another block of 10 days behind us leaving us with 10 more blocks of days until the election. Also today marks the last triple digit day in the countdown. Well done all of us. What is becoming clear though is a diabolical plan by republicans to delay the next stimulus bill so that many of us who are clinging to a place to live will be forced out. What this does is change our voting status. No longer will we be legally registered at those addresses and we will then either have to change our voter registrations to some other safe address or be left off the voting rolls.
     I can easily see this as a strategy for republicans as they need to eliminate voters from voting to have any chance of cheating to win. What we have to do as the persons affected by this abhorrent strategy is to make it not work by getting a new registration safe haven that will last until the election. There is always a remedy to a problem if we want it bad enough so make sure that you know who is doing this to you and then find a way to make them pay with a vengeance! The republican party will harm the many of us without batting an eyelash if it means they can keep power. We cannot let them have their way at the expense of us being harmed.
     Another way republicans are going to suppress the vote outside of displacing us is using the protests as a vehicle to control where and how we vote. There are two schools of thought on how to nullify this threat by trumps to control our freedoms. One is to deescalate our protests at least near federal government buildings. Another school of thought is to keep protesting without causing damage in an attempt to keep the trump goon squad from attacking us and making it look like our protests are out of control so he can declare martial law. We must as the intelligent citizenry make sure that we are not used as pawns in his nefarious game to keep power over us. We cannot assist him with no thought to our own actions.

101 days left until the election (#4193)

     101 days left until the election. 55 days until early voting for the general election begins in Minnesota and South Dakota. Can you begin to feel the excitement building? I know I can and the smile on my face, perceptibly, is widening. We are nearly done with the triple digits of days left before trump is put back into the private sector where he cannot harm us any longer. What happens to him after that, time will tell, but I know what happens to us will be a bright and good thing. I don't really have a subject this morning as I am typing right now but as is often the case, something strikes me along the way.
     I can see the trump strategy of fomenting chaos as a way to muck up the election but that won't work because the many more of us are onto him. We are prepared as if we were going to war to stop his insanity of holding onto power at the expense of American lives. As well we will put a tight grip on the reins of our steadfast advance on regaining the Senate. Those republican senators up for reelection this coming November 3rd are in for a real battle. None of them is safe even in the most red of states. My reasoning is because trumps have so screwed so many of us that there are no more swing voters. Either you are for trump or against him and the middle of that is a barbed wire fence, uncomfortable for sitting.
     If the poll numbers are any indication it is clear that most of the what used to be swing voters have moved over into the Democratic camp. There are a lot of republicans who are now independents so that that they can vote against trump. What is happening is that trump is showing his true nature and that nature is no friend of anyone who cannot give trump something for nothing. Well we the American people are just about out of everything so the idea that we would have to pay more than an homage to trump is impossible. So instead we the American people will cast ballots that remove trump and bring in Joe Biden to begin the reclamation of the working middle poor class.

102 days left until the election (#4192)

     Sort of a milestone day for me as I have now had 14 straight years of sobriety. Enough said on that. :) So I am feeling kinda cool this morning without the normal distraction of what trump has done from yesterday and this morning to confound me. I am sort of less pissed off as I would normally be and that is a good thing once in awhile. However, do not take that as a weakening of my resolve to stop the out of control madman trump. I am just for today a bit less to my bone perturbed by his antics. He of course will always remain a pos regardless of how my own personal attitude is affected by the tides of life.
     So now I hear he wants to send 50 to 60 thousand goons to all our American cities of size in order to create havoc. I am not alarmed by this as I do believe he doesn't have that many goons who would do his bidding, let alone them being trained enough to carry out some diabolical plan he is irrationalizing in his little grey cells depleted head. Yet that is his mindset and regardless of his ability to create such a scenario I am prepared to accept that he will try something of that nature. He knows now that he is doomed to lose unless he can completely change the narrative away from his failures and our deaths. The economy and our health are in danger and he wants nothing to do with rectifying a solution. Instead he wants to change the narrative.
     I don't think it will be possible for him to change the narrative and even if he did, the opposition we have built up over 3 and a half years is not going to be swayed no matter what may occur. At this point in time it is almost assured that he will lose and the question remains as to how much. I am in the camp of by a landslide. Much like a close to 50 state rout with Joe Biden getting well over 400 electoral votes. That is just me and I am a dogged progressive who sees our America changing in our favor. Yet even I am a bit cautious and will not try to predict an outcome instead I will keep working to make the outcome happen.

103 days left until the election (#4191)

     The countdown is getting close to going under 100 days. Kind of reminds me of how I will feel when we get to Halloween and there are 3 days left until Joe Biden becomes our president elect. But for now just getting under 100 days is the goal and that is momentous to me. We started out having to endure over 1400 days until the next presidential election and look at us now just 103 days left of that unfathomable amount. Of course every day is excruciating despite the shortness of the coming election but at least the light at the end of the tunnel is getting very bright indeed.
     The constant barrage of trumpian disgust is disheartening but he is consistent so that we know going in that something at least awful will come out of his puny brain that has pain and suffering written all over it for we the working middle poor class. My expectations are low for me thinking living my life during this time would actually be enjoyable. It is like we all have gotten a prison sentence with hard labor. But the time is getting shorter much like daylight this time of year so there is that. His appointed presidency is about to end with no chance for him to remain in his appointed office. He has made sure of that by trying to kill us off without a care in the world about it.
     He is even so cavalier as to want to force our children into unsafe conditions at schools. His child won't be participating in in person schooling but he sure as damn hell wants your child to participate. Even his lackey republican acolytes in the senate won't be sending their children or grandchildren into in person schools but, they like trump, will force your kids to go to in person schools because they want you out in the workforce so as to make trump's economic handling look better than it is. How is that he would sacrifice the lives of your kids so that he could look better? I will tell you how. He cares not for others as long as he can benefit from it. He is a carpetbagger who got elected president so don't expect him to care about your life or the lives of your children.

104 days left until the election (#4190)

     The looming economic disaster that will crush our economy is the end of the Cares Act which is due to expire in a few days. With no replacement at the moment the dire need of tens of millions of Americans will start if it hasn't already to manifest in ways that will break our hearts. Evicted, with no money coming in will cause a disaster for out communities and local governments. The toll it will take will be like we were attacked from a foreign entity, in this case trump and his acolytes. This will be a self administered suffering that did not have to happen. The republicans in the senate are the authors of this and the inspiration comes from trump.
     Now I could be just whistling past the graveyard and a new law will emerge in the next few days but that doesn't fit into the republican narrative of causing the working middle poor class the most harm whenever possible. Yet the stakes are very high at the moment because we have an election in a handful of weeks and the anger building in our majority voting class is already high. It would be good advice for republicans to end their insanity for a moment and help the american electorate overcome the effects of the trump virus. If not then the need for a civilized society to remain so will be hard pressed.
     If not by the end of this week a stimulus law isn't passed then it may be too late to save too many millions who will be forced from their homes because trump did little to nothing to stop the virus from ravaging our economy. This is all on him and that he doesn't or won't admit it to at least himself is our sword to fall on. He must force his party to acquiesce otherwise he will be facing much more than a economy in free fall. The pitchforks and torches are not out of the question and his ability to remain in office will become a topic of conversation beyond the pleasantries already expressed. A stimulus like the Heroes Act already passed in the House is needed and if not then the alternative is a far cry from enlightenment.

105 days until the next election (#4189)

     105 days marks 15 weeks left until the election. This time is most excruciating getting through but with really a short time left we can muster through it. The trumps are a devious lot and will rile our senses to no end but regardless to give in to the sheer volume of their intent to defeat us would be to waste the nearly four years we have struggled to survive his onslaught. I for one am not ready to succumb to their strategy to physically and emotionally wear us down so that they can keep running roughshod over us for the foreseeable future. What we have already endured has made us stronger in our approach to overcome trump and the victory that will bring in so short a time will help heal the ever lasting wounds we have received because of him.
     I say ever lasting because he has done a damage that is not going to be wiped from our memories ever. Those of us who have lived through it will be scarred and until a whole new generational population has replaced us will the stain of his appointed presidency be removed. I don't know why this has happened to us here in America but for the most part it is a reflection of what we allowed. We didn't stop the insanity of trump when it first appeared and even now too many of us are still defending him. Not enough to keep him in power but far too many to dismiss. Our American society has been inured with a callous uncaring that I thought could not exist here. Our democracy has been hollowed out by forces that define the worst of what a human can become.
     But there are more of us who still hold democracy dear and like our rebellious forefathers/mothers who fought for independence we will not quit until the task of protecting and improving our democracy has been achieved. At least we can see the finish line ahead and in 105 days we begin to realize the fruits of our labors. Every day the drudgery of finding out what harmful thing the trumps have done to us is and like every day before today we dealt with it in a defiance that underlies our resolve. I am tired like all the rest of us who have not allowed ourselves to be bent kneed to trumps. Those of us who have since the beginning of the nightmare on November 8th 2016 are still many and should draw strength from the fact that trump is soon to be nothing more than a horrible footnote in our otherwise progressive American history.

106 days left until the election (#4188)

     60 more days until Minnesota and South Dakota get to start the early voting for president. We are finally starting to get real close to the end of trumps in our White House. Minnesota and South Dakota start early voting 46 days before the actual November 3rd date. Several states join them the next day and then the majority of our states follow with their early voting times. I cannot tell you how much it means to me when I get my mail in ballot here in California. I am not shy about saying that every democrat on the ballot will get my vote. Never would I even consider voting for a republican at any level of government.
     It is incumbent on me to say that some independents have my vote in particular cases, but that is more rare than normal. In most ballots I have filled out the democrats are the only ones who get my votes. The end of the republican party needs to happen in this election. Oh, they will survive but they will not be the same racist, misogynist party they have been in the past if they hope not to be buried with antiquity. Their embrace of the corrupt traditions of greed and selfishness has to end as well otherwise they are not even going to poll on an even keel with the Green party. If we have to have a two party system going forward I would prefer it be we democrats and the more liberal left of Greens. The right wing of politics needs to be crushed from existence.
     The liberal/progressive ideology needs to be our only ideology of leadership. Conservatives have shown that they are not conservative in the traditional sense. Instead they are a morphed nazi/confederate alliance that only favors authoritarian principles. We do not need authoritarian principles in our democracy, we need equality and fairness as absolutes. We have much work to do when this voting time is done and our government is once again by and for the people. But it will be happy work cleaning up the mess and punishing the guilty while creating a new society with virtues and ethics as our foundation. In 60 days that process starts and then in 106 days we will know that all our efforts over these last 4 years have not been in vain! Everyone vote!

107 days left until the election (#4187)

     The latest power play from trump, who no doubt got his advice from putin, is to try a coup with the help of federal police and patrol groups. This is not going to end well for trump in that his pitting Americans against Americans through force is not going to have the desired effect he wants. Instead it will awaken the American psyche to his murderous intent and those he thought would be loyal to him will turn on him at this red line. It is one thing for trump to be a traitor and murderer as they seem to be okay with that but when he implicates them into his actions then the horror sets in. There will be an accounting and only someone blind to reality knows that.
     So the fence sitters that trump is counting on to back him will begin to fall off away from him. He is toxic at this moment and unless they feel like democracy should end with an anointing of trump as a czar like putin then he is in for a rude awakening. It is either destroy our national heritage and join with trump or move out of the way and let the forces of justice and the rule of law take the despicable trump and what is left of his acolytes and put them where the sun shines not. I know we have a lot of troubles to correct after Joe Biden is elected president but as we do that we can also have our judiciary control a Nuremberg type tribunal to expose their crimes and deliver justice to the betrayers.
     We can do both at the same time, punish the criminals and restrengthen our society. In fact they go hand in hand as a reminder that there is no reward for putting greed and selfishness above democratic values. It will instill in our coming generations that to work to destroy democracy has a price that is heavy and excruciating to pay. We are better than the trumps and in 107 days we will begin his and his family's removal from our sacred city on the hill. I am so hopeful that the better part of our natures will prevail otherwise what is the point of hopes and dreams if they really are just an illusion? To move forward we have to convict the guilty of all their crimes while offering the citizenry a hope for a new America that shines for all of us!

108 days left until the election (#4186)

     What is becoming obvious to me is that trump is like a child who is in a constant state of tantrum. He can do this because he is also a child who have no parents to guide him. His one parent bill barr is a like a drunkard who can only stumble after trump with a shovel and his other parent, his conscience, has been eviscerated. The more I think about how Mary Trump described her lump of an uncle donald the more I am inclined to absolutely agree with her. He is so out of control as to normal behavior that he could never find his way back to it regardless of the road maps in front of him. The easy thing to do for him would be to acquiesce on a few important policies to the great societal will but he cannot even do that.
     His baked in behavior is that of a bully and narcissist. He can go no further since he has never pushed himself to be a better person. Unlike the large majority of the many of us who have spent a lifetime growing and learning from our education, experiences, and mistakes. Not trump. He is a solitary figure from his birth and no amount of being cagey with him will ever get him to admit that he isn't the gift to humanity he sees himself as. I am no psychologist nor psychiatrist yet the signs are obvious for all to see to make an educated guess as to his disorder. He cares for nothing that doesn't benefit him and he sees himself as the savior of the world.
     If it weren't for the fact that it is 108 days until the election and 62 days until Minnesota and South Dakota begin their actual early voting in the general election, I might think we would not survive the desperation of trump to hold office. He is now attacking citizens in Portland, Oregon with extrajudicial forces from the border patrol without request. He is making a power move that in all likelihood will fail but at the same time distracts us from the Covid-19 debacle and his betrayal of troops in Afghanistan to russian assassinations to name just a few crisis' that are now ongoing. The tantrums will continue because the republican enablers in the Senate have sold their souls and are without the courage to change.

109 days left until the election (#4185)

     It is getting real exciting about how the days are dwindling down until we cast our ballots. We have started into our last block of 10 days where triple figures will end. Soon enough we will be under 100 days and then the campaign for the presidency really begins in earnest. Although in this particular race the failing of trump to even do anything correct and good has been disappeared. Which makes Joe Biden's chances much better without having to do much at all. When the worst appointed or elected president of all time continues to prove it day in day out the challenger can almost just sit back and watch his utterly disgraceful opponent lose the race all by himself.
     Yet that is not what Joe will do. He knows better than anyone that the worst of what trump is must be countered by what the best of what he can be. In doing that, his best, he recognizes that it is in the policies that he envisions for all Americans where he will establish his bona fides. But back to trump and his daily terribleness. We got a bit of a reprieve last night when Rachel Maddow had trump's niece on her show and she gave us all a look behind the mask of trump. It was a creepy cruel look to see how he chose to be emulate a creepy cruel father. Like father like son and if that were all of it then ick! But it isn't. The younger trump did even worse than his father by refusing to accept any responsibility for anything he ever destroyed and ignored.
     The fred trump's of the world could have been managed much easier than donald's. At least fred had the wherewithal to stay out of our lives, not donald. He couldn't resist the illusory vanity of glory and admiration that he craved with being elected, or in trump's case, appointed office. His narcissism and ego were too much for him to hide from the world while he delved into acts and behaviors that would abhor even the most devious. With donald trump we got an ego that was beyond the bounds of normalcy and with no reigns to pull it in when necessary. What Mary Trump showed us last night that trump was a little boy who craved his daddy's attention so much that becoming him and surpassing him were all he could hope for in life. Shame on the parents of trump for their cruel and inhumane choices and more shame on donald trump for his choice to increase that inhumane and cruel behavior exponentially!

110 days left until the election (#4184)

     Today will mark 64 days until Minnesota and South Dakota officially early vote in the general election. Several states start the next day and then a procession of early voting states stagger toward November 3rd. So although election day is 110 days from now the casting of ballots begins much earlier. What also today brings is an end to another block of 10 days. 11 blocks of 10 day periods until we have Joe Biden as our new president elect. For those who have been following me on this blog you know just how important it is for this time to pass and we are in a new era of government. The lack of leadership and the outright fraud perpetrated on us by trumps is unbearably excruciating.
     The only way he could have gotten away with this cruel and criminal behavior is with help from the Attorney General's office and the United States Senate. The Attorney General who is the head of the Justice Department, has been more a trump personal lawyer than a defender of laws for our nation. The Senate has also been a close ally with trump by not hearing evidence in the impeachment trial and rushing through judges instead of legislating with the House as is their duty. The disdain the republican party has for the rest of our nation is horrible and must be answered with equal or worse when the time comes after the Biden election.
     As to the election itself the time to end the trumps and the republican congressional officeholders time in power is then. We can do little in the meantime except endure the suffering the republican party is bottomless at administering to us so in 64 days we begin to fill out our ballots and make our choices. The time of trumps is nearing an end and for the sake of all of us who are left after that I say well and good for surviving the worst appointed presidency in the history of our American nation. So far has the idealism of equality, compassion, and intellectualism fallen with them that the recovery of all these things will take a bit of time to reclaim. Yet that will be a process that the many of us will cherish and protect.

     Now trump want to control the data base for Covisd-19 information. He wants to bypass the CDC so that when the daily numbers come in they can keep it less open to the public. So now that they cannot deny that Covid-19 is not a hoax they are going to disappear the daily knowledge of where and how many are being infected and dying. This trump administration is as low as it gets folks because they don't care about anything, life or death, if it keeps them from winning in November. This latest gambit to take the Covid-19 numbers away from view is atrocious and clear evidence that the trumps will hide the fact of disease and death that is haunting our nation right now!
     I am not sure how this is going to play out but I suspect that there will be enough backlash against it that it will fail. However it is early days yet so the waiting to see begins. At this point it is not whatever trump does as to the politics because it is already baked into the mix that trump has alienated the vast majority of the voting electorate. So him trying to hide the Covid-19 numbers is only going to make his approval rating drop even further. He doesn't respect the many of us enough to think that we can have two types of memory, long and short term. We have seen his act for nearly 4 years now so he cannot hide from his anti-human nature.
     The wanton strategy of setting our children up to die and then the secretive plan to hide the numbers is obviously an abomination that cannot be allowed to happen. If the republican party had any decency they would have stopped trump long ago. So the only other way to end the reign of trump is to stop him in his tracks with mass demonstrations despite Covid-19 or wait until he is voted out of office on November 3, 2020 and then replaced on January 20, 2021. What must also happen is that all republican enablers from the Senate down to local state races have to pay a price or their cowardice. They must be defeated on November 3rd and democrats must replace them. It is the democratic time to change this madness since the republican party has only bowed down to it!

     Today knocks of another week from the overall total until the election. There are now 16 weeks until Biden is elected. Yay! I know it hasn't happened yet but that is my pursuit and I am sticking with it even if it is a bit premature. :) I will not be like most all the others who wish to keep their desires to themselves in this area because of some bad luck premonition. I don't believe in fairy tales nor luck as a divine intervention. What has been most gratifying so far is that trump in his demented thinking has a mind to destroy what little chance he had at being retained. Now he is just going to be restrained when the dust settles on his corrupt and demoralizing appointment.
     The only chance he had was to keep the economy alive while we are battling Covid-19 and in his hubris he has actually made the pandemic more infectious. He cares less for the lives that are sacrificed in order for him to remain in office, unlike it would be to a real leader who put his people above himself. A real leader would have sacrificed himself in order to keep his constituents safer from grave harm. This is the telling distinction that trump cannot ever separate himself exposing. He is by his own personal choice more coward than courageous and less caring about our citizenry and more greedy for himself. The exposure is obvious and complete so that no more argument needs to be made on the subject.
     When the voting time comes the weight of trump's selfishness will be bear down on him in ways that magnify his many faults. The exemplification of self promotion and denial of his roles in destroying democracy as his political aim will no doubt resonate negatively with too many at the wrong time for him. In his life he has been able to hide his intent at the right time when it benefited him most but not this time. This time and right up until the election trump is stuck with who he is and no amount of flailing around will change that. That is why the polls are showing such a favor to Biden, not so much about what Joe is doing, although somewhat, but more about how trump has stomped and kicked at all the desired honorable principles we Americans collectively have left to hold dear.

113 days until the election (#4181)

     It seems like it was just last October and I was starting to get excited about the countdown being almost less than a year for the election. I was looking out ahead at the months and knowing that as each new month passed it would be the last month we had as trump as the appointed president. I now that he gets to serve until January 20, but those lame duck months would not be the same as him being the defeated sitting appointed president. I thought that we had to get through the months of December and January with their 31 days each and then the little addition of a day to the leap year February. They seemed kind of far off but close enough.
     Then I remember getting to March and thinking that once again we have to survive 31 days and then April with its 30 days. But I knew that we still had a stretch of 31 day months ahead which made me feel a little bit more burdened with the time left to endure the trumps. But now we are in July and when this month and the next month of August and their 31 days each are done, we will actually be in the heart of the presidential campaign. From September 1st until the November 3rd there are only 63 days until the election. It really does help me deal with this current disastrous era of trump using numbers in many different ways to get eventually to the same place, November 3rd.
     113 days left is just 2 weeks until we are at 99 days left. I cannot tell you how wonderful it will feel to know that we are so close to being under 3 digits in our countdown but know this it will be a special kind of wonderful with even more higher levels of wonderful to come. Because I am not like those who constantly keep telling us to forget the polls and even the evidence in front of our faces. They are not wrong in their caution but some of us have both covered, where we are relentless in our efforts to keep our blue wave tsunami afloat but also are thriving in the fact that we the democratic party are burying trump and his republican cabal of acolytes!

114 days until the next election (#4180)

     The hypocrite trump spent time with our injured troops yesterday while for the first time wearing a mask. Well the mask is about time some 4 months after he should have been but the part that irks me is his visiting the troops. He still hasn't braced putin for the bounty he is paying for American troops deaths. Now I know trump has told us that he asked putin if he was in actuality paying to assassinate our troops and putin told him he wasn't. That was good enough for trump because of course he is a better friend to putin than he is to the American populace. Well his slight as I see it by visiting our wounded troops couldn't be more dishonorable!

     It was bad enough that he snuck out of service when America called him but to now try to show concern for our wounded warriors is outside the bounds of acceptable behavior. That hypocrisy of his is built upon his inability to be an American patriot and his behavioral inadequacy as an empathetic human being. The audacity it takes to try to present himself as a real commander in chief makes me cringe at the scope of it. His only reasoning for using our wounded troops as a prop is to try to stem his awful polling numbers. He is like the guy who would steal from your house and then blame you for not having anything. A cad of the worst order!
     But this is nothing new for us who are counting down his days left to smear our collective psyches in the gutter. His utter failure as a human being notwithstanding has left us all in a worst position than if we had no appointed or elected president at all. I am fortunate in that I have already lived through some horrible republican presidents so my finely tuned defenses, although under pressure from the disastrous trump are nevertheless intact. For those who have never been subjected to such an assault on decency and democracy I hope to help in anyway I can. The only strategy going forward for all the rest of us is to unite and find it within us to do everything we can to help rid our nation of the current plague who is literally infecting our minds, souls, and pursuit of happiness.

115 days left until the election (#4179)

     These last 115 days are going to be excruciating. The closer we get to the election the more sure trump will be that he has no chance in hell of staying in his appointed office. So he will be doing more and more outlandish things to upset the coming election while causing havoc within our democracy. We knew this all along as a benefit of us having the blue wave behind us. The trumps are getting the picture that it is a failing task to win this election and trump himself is resigning himself to the fact that he cannot win fairly. Which is something he really didn't do in 2016 with the electoral college bailing him out.
     So from now until November 3rd we will be seeing the most cruel and cavalier side of trump and his acolytes. However we do still have the House and many things can be thwarted by us controlling the house. The judiciary hasn't been the big trump enabler I am sure he thought it would be. So that is some cold comfort. However he is as reckless and obstinate as they come and if it isn't his way than the rest of us will be shown the highway if he has his way. Unfortunately he will be able to wreak his illogical havoc on us with we having little recourse. Yet 115 days is all he has left before Joe Biden is swept into power with the new democratic majority senate and many state house offices.
     I keep trying to look at the bright side so that I can help myself endure the trump barrage of hate and stupidity and it does help but each day trump does something that is like nails on a chalkboard and the screech in my mind never seems to go away. Life is like that and although the time is still some small distance out ahead of us it is rapidly closing and then also we have already endured 3 1/2 years of his insanity already so we should have thick enough skin to make it to the finish. Here is to us making a strong finish against the trumps and making sure on November 3rd that his only date with us in the future is in a court room.

116 days left until the election (#4178)

     I wouldn't say that I am confident but I will say that I like the trends I am seeing in the polling. Now before you get all up in my grill about how the polling failed us back in 2016, just remember that the polling was adjusted after that election and has since been damn near right on since. In 2017, the state election in Virginia as an example. A blue wave hit that voting and was in line with the polling. In 2018, the polling showed that we democrats were going to win back the House and not only did we do that we won comfortably. As well in many states we bolstered our presence in state offices by around 400 seats. 
     So if anything the recent polling has either been on the mark or under counting our blue wave enthusiasm. As time has moved on from the 2018 election the polling has been consistent throughout. For nearly the last 2 years all indicators are that we democrats have not waned in our blue wave momentum. But polling only gets you so far as to understanding what is happening in America. Another key factor is voter turnout. Which since trump was appointed president by the electoral college, has been increased significantly. In 2016 only about 53.1% of eligible voters bothered to vote. So 46.9% abdicated their duty to participate in our election, which was determinative in why we now have the cad trump.
     In all elections since the 2016 general election the vast majority of races run have shown dramatically increased democratic voter participation. Such that the going odds for what the turnout in the 2020 general election are looking like between 65-70% turnout. If we get those numbers which at this point seems reasonable even with Covid-19 doing its worst, the blue wave that built up in 2017 will grow to a blue tsunami and very few republicans up for reelection this cycle will survive. Which is why I feel better about this coming election even though I know anything can happen. What I know for sure though and am confident about is that if we democrats keep voting like we have been these last 3 years the era of divisive republican politics will come to an end.

117 days left until the election (#4177)

     Two important decisions were handed down today on the last day of decisions from the Supreme Court this year. The first being a close victory for An Oklahoma native American tribe in it's demand that a treaty with the United States be upheld. It was, and for that at least a right conclusion was reached. So many times the US has nullified it's legal treaties with native American tribes because the cost was deemed too great to bear. Well not this time and although it has no effect on me personally it does satisfy the honorable within me to see this outcome. Just because we the US made a treaty that is hard to swallow doesn't mean we can spit it out and renege at our convenience.
     The second case is actually 2 cases and they are about trump's tax returns. The high court was able to successfully punt on both these cases but with a slight favoring going to Congress and the state of New York. More adjudication is required for both but there is a 4 part test now that must be satisfied before trump's taxes are given to the prevailing authorities. Which for the most part likely will happen but won't be but may still happen before the election. The significance of the viewing of trump's tax returns is to find out if he committed fraud in his tax return reporting of the Stormy Daniels payouts. Fraud is a serious charge and if so trump faces criminal action.
     But not only were there these court cases but the latest weekly unemployment claims came in this morning at just over 1.3 million new claims for last week. The 16th straight week where the unemployment claims have been over a million. Since the virus outbreak the weekly numbers seem stable however consider that usually before the outbreak the unemployment claims were never much more than a couple of 100,000 a week. Joe Biden came out to give a speech that was extremely intelligent and went to the heart of the problems we face as a nation. His narrative included solutions and a coming together to not only supply the means for recovery but for the cooperation it will take for our nation to recover from out latest malfeasance and incompetence coming from a republican, in this case, appointed president.

118 days left until the election (#4176)

     The trump strategy for this election is to have unemployment down into single digits and the stock market above 30,000 points. If this is what reality is he thinks this is enough to get him a victory. His strategists are with him on this but I think his strategists are clinging to anything right now. I will say this though, if trump thinks that the Dow being up and even if unemployment is at 8 or 9 percent that this is somehow a magical recipe for victory he is twisted. He doesn't even consider the russian assassination of our troops and his collusion in that as a factor. He doesn't even consider his attempts to destroy medicare/medicaid/social security as a factor in that either.
     To say that he is delusional without all the other factors he is not considering like women's rights, Covid-19 deaths, and his blatant racism to name a few underlines his delusion as the lesser of possibilities. He has his base of racists which gets him unbelievably about 25%. To say that there are one quarter of American voters who are racist is a sad commentary about our dishonorable values. To get at the other 25% he would need, he must pull in the greedy and selfish. Thus the Dow thinking. Make everyone who can work who can afford to play in the stock market a little bit of coin and all of a sudden the other economic issues don't matter. Like the many who will now have no job to return to once Covid-19 is stabilized and suppressed.
     I don't see that happening in how things have been since February when Covid-19 hit our shores. That trump got greedy with our lives so that he could manipulate the economic numbers so that his devastatingly horrible response to the pandemic would appear less disastrous is criminal yet that didn't stop him from putting his own interests above those of the many. In trump's world, the good of the one, him, is greater than the good of the many. We have had almost three and a half years of trump and his awfulness and for him to think he can be a two term president by fudging numbers that by and large help the wealthy and put more Americans at risk of exposure suspends all reality and principled value we aspire to as a nation.

119 days left until the election (#4175)

     There are now only 17 weeks left until the election. I think I like this counting the block of 10 days as well as the weeks. It won't be long before the weeks overtake the 10 day blocks and that will be a milestone for me as well. the point is I cannot wait for the election to get here and neither can the many who are just like me. We are worn down by the daily debacles the miscreant trumps keep laying at our feet. The very idea that our own government would be out to destroy us in plain sight is unbelievable and then believable and then resolved us to stop the madness!
     Yet our resolve has been running on fumes for a while now although we are not going to quit on removing the worst appointed president our nation has ever known. I will not list his inabilities nor his deceits but instead will let you know that we are going to make him pay for his "discretion's". That may well be one of the two main reasons we will keep running on fumes until he is voted out, his discretion's and his treachery. He was not smart enough to have hidden his behaviors from us when he turned his back on America to favor putin. If he thinks his crimes against our nation will be forgiven he is wrongly self advised.
     So 17 weeks and now less than 12 blocks of 10 days are left for him to stew and wonder how he will get out of this mess he has so dumbfoundedly created. I know, I just bastardized a word but that is what trump has done to my psyche. He has bastardized my thinking about what it is to be a president of the United States. He must not lose the election as the only way forward to not being charged in court for many crimes. What happens going froward from today cannot be something to look forward to but we can at least hope that the silver linings outweigh the punishing cruelty he is so adept at administering to us and the rest of the civilized world.

120 days left until the election (#4174)

     I love this part. When I get to say that another block of 10 days has gone behind us. Only when I was a young child waiting for Christmas have I ever wanted time to go by so fast. Especially now that I am old you would think I would want time to go more slowly. But not with trumps! Time cannot go by fast enough. There are now only 12 blocks of 10 days left until the election. It seems so long ago when it became clear that Clinton would not be our president. The anguish and utter disbelief in those few hours on that November 8th evening will never fade from my memory nor my emotion.
     Well with this coming election I am more than ready to see the end of trump as the appointed leader and all his miscreants that he has hired to make our lives miserable. I know that the polling has been consistently against trump and I know that the same thing was with trump against Clinton. Yet this time it is different. There are no outlier polls contradicting the majority of polls and even the friendly republican biased polls show trump in a bad way. This time no one is confused about who trump might or will be. he has shown himself and so has his enablers in the Senate. I don't feel anxious or alarmed about any kind of possible complacency in our voters. Everyone is as determined to vote as I have ever seen in my life.
     Yet caution is always correct when the outcome is not here yet. I get that the worry warts who keep on about what happened in 2016 is their concern. Rightly so if it were the same dynamic. It is not. No one is fooled or complacent about voting this time. We know the statistics. that 46.9% of eligible voters didn't vote in 2016. Yet in this years primaries records have been set as to democratic turnout. We the democratic party are also planning for countering unprecedented voter obstruction by republicans at the voting booths and with mail in ballots. It seems also that the threat of Covid-19 hasn't deterred us from venturing out to vote even if it means waiting in hours long lines. This time is our time and even the polling is showing it. Do not be fooled by some who say republicans have the greater of enthusiasm. They don't, we do!

     Yesterdays news that kanye west is going to run for president is just another republican attempt to keep trump in office. There is no way west will get in as president so the only other reason he has for running is to split the black vote. No doubt he will offer the black vote the things that trump can't as trump has to keep his racists happy. So by west running as an independent he can siphon votes away from Biden which would tighten up some state races. This is how republicans operate. They don't care about the voting populace, they only want to maintain power over us. It is inexplicable and as obvious as hell at the same time.
     Even elon musk has shown his true colors by endorsing west, as if we didn't already know here in California with his threats if we didn't open up for business with the Covid-19 still unabated. What this current timeline in the 2020's has shown us is that those who are out for themselves have exposed themselves much more than not. What we the working middle poor class, who are the vast majority of voters must do is to ignore the nonsense of republicans and remain steadfast in our advocacy for Biden and all democrats on the ballot. Straight democratic ticket voting is our weapon and we must not let that weapon become dull.
     No doubt the idea that west thinks he can be an effective tool for trump is keen with republicans but for we democrats looking in at the futile attempt we know it for what it is. There are 121 days left before we vote and surely the republican party will be throwing any and all ideas out there to try to stem the coming blue wave voting tsunami. We who are not to be fooled must keep our wits about us and keep telling the truth of things and not get caught up in the next shiny object republicans will deploy. If there is one thing we know about republicans it is that the more they try the ridiculous the further they get from the truth. The truth is our ally and let us keep exposing the desperate republican strategy that has no good to it.

     I didn't watch any of the campaign cult gathering of trump last night and I assume nothing changed from their desire to infect many people with Covid-19 as a door prize so to speak. We won't know for about at least a week just how many more folks are now infected because trump wanted a particular cult gathering that fit into his narrative, somewhat uncomfortably, of protecting confederate monuments. I had better things to do like binge watch a subtitled Swedish crime series on Hulu. I had a friend last night all but throw in the towel on trying to give trump any degree of doubt about his obvious moronic and dangerous thinking and behavior.
     I had little to add to my friends conclusion other than to say that I am so weary of having to be part of it and watch it from afar. This time in our history has been the most grueling of times to suffer through mentally and as well somewhat physically. The mental suffering part is probably the most difficult thing to keep together. Every fucking day trump does something that pierces the heart of our nation and every fucking day we are forced to accept it because the Justice department no longer serves America, it now only serves trump. For that bill barr will be eviscerated in due time for his collusion with trump and he is so ingrained now with trump that he will go down with the ship trump is currently navigating toward the shoals of destruction on November 3rd.
     122 days left until the great day of voting and the blue wave tsunami that is coming. I hear folks telling me every day that we can't look at the polls nor feel confident that we are going to win in November and I do get their caution. But for me it is every day look at the polling and every day find the reassurance from not only their snapshot in time analysis but from the confidence it gives me that America is done with trumps. I have been under such a heavy burden, as has the many of us, for so long that I don't take anything for granted not even good news, although it is confirmation that we are doing our due diligence. Because there is only one purpose in life for the majority of us and that purpose will present itself without a doubt on November 3rd.

     The hardening of my soul happens when day after day the unworthy among us keep making our lives miserable. They are insufferable human dung waste yet they seem to have power through deception or manipulation. I am just tired of them and it is making me somewhat curmudgeon when previously I could easily smile. I know the time is coming soon for a reprieve from my anger at all things that are wrong but it is not here yet and I am still here. I remember seeing that meme about how the person wishes that the offer from her mother was still in force about her knocking her into next year if she didn't stop what she was doing.
     Waking up from a long sleep and finding out many months had passed sounds so enticing. I chuckled to myself right then, lol. I am tired to my bones over the trumps and his republican cabal of thieves and brutes. Yet I know that my tiredness is not just mine, many more of us are in the same way. I need to be here every second of every day to make sure I can find a way to fight against the worst of what is happening to us. Monday we may well get the decision about trump's tax returns from the supreme court and if we do we will know just how the rest of the year will play out. If they are released trump will lose big in the election. If not then we are in for a hard ride to defeat him.
     Already the high court is making things tough by not knocking down voter suppression laws and although we can get around those laws it is tougher and harder with the Covid-19 virus in play. Regardless though I will have to cinch up my resolve and force myself to move beyond the tired and rejuvenate my reserves for the final 123 days before the election. Time right now is our only enemy as we have trump down in the dumps for his failures as a human and as an appointed leader. So no long sleep until we defeat him and then we have to stay vigilant until the hand off of the presidency on January 20th 2021.

124 days until the election (#4170)

     The republican party refused to add more stimulus to our citizenry thus forcing many of them to return to jobs that were still at risk of them catching the Covid-19 virus. All so that the job losses earlier in the year could make a comeback and trump could take credit for creating new jobs. The problem is that those jobs are infested jobs. Now those jobs are going to go away again because trump and republicans forced our economy open too soon against sound logical medical advice. As well by not adding more stimulus to our economy the many 10's of millions of folks are left without funds to pay for housing, food, and other necessities to tide them over through the pandemic.
     This is because republicans don't care about the working middle poor class. All they care about is holding power and getting as much wealth to the already filthy wealthy that they can. What we are going to have in the next few days as rents are due and unemployment is difficult to get is an angry mob of citizenry. If trump doesn't demand that his horrible republican senate stop obstructing democratic proposals to get money to the most desperate of souls there will be a reckoning coming that they are not going to like. It is bad enough that the response to the medical emergency of Covid-19 has been abysmal and needless deaths have occured but to then force folks to work in dangerous conditions without an option for caring for their families is beyond any decency that can be imagined.
     With trump and republicans now embroiled in a treasonous act with russia to kill American soldiers for bounty trump and republicans had better do something on some front or their time will not last until the election. When people are forced out of their homes with no income to feed themselves you can bet that the anger will not be polite. If trump was looking to stir up a nation with anger at him and his republican party he has successfully achieved that. Now we wait to see how that anger manifests itself and how much of it boils over into acts of violence and retribution. This is no call to revolt by me it is a staged attempt by republicans to hurt people who are not able to control their own destiny now. For that trump and his republican party will get the deserves they made happen in whatever form that shows itself.

125 days until the election (#4169)

     Another month down and 4 more to go plus 3 days and we are at the election. We need that election to get here without much more from trump. He is going out of his way to make life miserable for the many of us and we are getting less tolerant by the second. I hope we keep our tempers contained for now and let off steam in the form of swearing and cussing to whatever degree to let us reduce our stress. The more we learn about what trump has done to us behind our back is enough to set us off but we have to keep our cool long enough to make and end to it.
     I am not one to give this advice as I am always plotting some retribution in my head with little restraint. Yet I do restrain from actually doing anything that would harm our democracy and the blue wave that is coming on with a devastating rush. This post today is about controlling a very well deserved anger and instead of lashing out with a fury, I am controlling that anger into positive steps toward ending the republican reign of our national and states governemnts. 125 days is not that long to wait for the next epic chapter in our history as we depose those who would be king!
     I may be getting older and more frequently tired because of that age but it has not dampened the child's spirit that lives within me. I may look my age but my hubris of youth is intact and well. Never have I felt this much angst toward human beings in my lifetime and that includes the nefariousness of nixon and his devious cabal. But to soldier on is my attitude and even if this hill we are climbing never seems to end it will end on November 3rd when we finally are pointed into the correct direction for our nation. The many of us will have grown even more and our voting totals will show that the trumps and republicans of our world will never again fill the lofty seats of government where they treat themselves to our bounty and us to their condescension.
