(#5717) Illinois is early voting!

With over 44 million early mail in voting ballots requested for this election the time is coming for a lot of them to start coming back in from the states that have already sent them out. As to early in person voting nearly 200 thousand have already come in to their polling precincts or county seats to cast their ballots. It is extremely early days but the flow is beginning to come back in and over the next several weeks we should see a majority of those 44 million early mail in ballots collected. We are there into the election time now and every vote cast early is one more assured of being counted. Procrastinating voting is not anything we should do. We all need to get our voices heard as quickly as we can to make sure that we are not later impossibly inconvenienced to vote.
For me there are two possible outcomes for this election. One, which is most likely is that it will be a close race for reasons that still boggle my mind without a clear direction as to why. The second is that the race will not be close. Either way we who are fighting for our democracy are not to be confused about the priority of our vote. Our very vote could be the one that gets us across the finish line or just be another in a long line of blue wave comfort. We don't know and the not knowing is why we cannot stop from doing anything we can to help secure this win for democrats up and down the ballot. Democracy is at stake and no amount of assurance from anyone can foretell the outcome.
Many will guess what the outcome will be but no one knows, not even the pundits and experts. They are using whatever stats they can amass and yet it is still unknown how all of our votes will end up being counted for wins or losses. All any of us can do is vote. With early voting we get that great duty and high responsibility done. Then we can wait for November 5th and know that our vote is one of them waiting to be counted. The future of democracy is depending on all of us to do our best to keep it alive in America and that is down to each of us. Vote early like it is the first time you get that privilege. You young people, you need to find it within yourself to get your vote in and feel the pride of your belonging to the family of America in your soul.
