50 days left until the election (#4244)

      Today ballots go out in Pennsylvania so their early voting is beginning. I love early voting in that we don't have to wait for the very last day to register our opinion on who should lead our country. Those who don't take advantage of early voting are playing with fire the way I see it. Because the dynamics of this current era there is no given tradition that is safe from upheaval. If anything the earlier we get our ballots in to the vote recording agency in our districts the better we will be going forward. I have already come to the conclusion as solidly as possible that there is nothing trump can say do to change my mind about voting for Biden and Harris. The decision is made so the sooner I get my ballot and sent back in the better for our democracy.
     We here in California will have our early voting start 29 days before the election which on the calendar is October 4th. By then we should know more about how the postal service is operating although here in my district I have seen no slow down in postal service yet. Regardless though, however the reality is at that time I am prepared to walk my ballot to the election commission offices in Sacramento and hand deliver it if needed. Because there is nothing more important in life at this time than getting my filled out ballot recorded for the general election on November 3rd. Nothing in life is more important. I cannot stress that enough! The very ideal of democracy is being decided. Will we remain a democracy or will we become trump's country?
     He wants it all and he wants to punish any of us who do not bow down to him and pledge our allegiance to him instead of to America. His insatiable thirst to reshape our nation into one like putins is obvious to all now, well maybe not so obvious to his rabid base. But for the rest of us we see what will become of us if we do not end the reign of trump in 50 days. We do that by voting with such a force and abundance that there will be no mistaking the outcome of the election. Because trump will always fall back on some plan B if he loses the election. But his plan B will not be successful either if we stand tall and push back against his bullying cries of injustice. He deserves our wrath and the form of that wrath should be an overwhelming defeat that even he cannot easily deny!

51 days left until the election (#4243)

     We saw yesterday the intent of the trumps. The infamous roger stone has declared it with his traitorous incitement of resurrection if trump doesn't win the election this coming November 3rd. No longer is this just a conspiracy on the fringes we are hearing it now from the inner working of the trump cabal. Make no mistake about stone, he is still close to his boss trump and his pardon from his trump initiated crimes is the proof. I hope all the generals who have found out that trump called them pussies are listening and do something to prevent trump from pulling a coup with their neutral acquiescence.
     I believe that when putin shows up on our shores to confer with trump I believe next month this is what they will be talking about. We will be having a foreign agent advising our appointed president in how to stage a coup against our democracy. Make no mistake about it either, trump has followers who would commit treason right along with him. Our democracy is not sacred with them and we must watch them closely to make sure that, after trump is removed from office, when the criminal tribunal of trump is impaneled it will include those who enabled him and followed blindly with him. The nonsense of these folks was tolerated but not anymore. They are more than nonsensical. They are traitors to the very ideals of liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and justice for all!
     So with 51 days left until the election there is still time to get people who are not registered to vote, registered to vote. Every one of us is needed in this fight. I have seen prognostications about turnout that put it at about 65% which is good but not great. We need at least 70 percent or more to absolutely end the traitorous republican agenda. I know that the republicans in office now will likely back trump if he tries to enact the Insurrection Act. So it will take the rest of us and the military to the quell and put down the uprising of vicious and debased republicans. This is no drill! This is the real deal folks and if you still think like this is just a dream or a conspiracy then you and your ignorance are about to find out the hard way.

52 days left until the election (#4242)

      I have been thinking about what trump might do for an October surprise and I have hopefully hit upon something that would actually help him and us. More us than him and how much it would help him to me would be little. However the way they are thinking in the White House this may well be something they think will really help them. Forcing mcconnell to give the $1200 stimulus again with of course his signature on it. He may well think that we can be bought but at this point I think that we would gladly take the money and call him a sucker while we are doing it. For him to think he could buy our votes seems natural when thinking like him. Since life is all about getting something for nothing in his mind.
     I hope he does it as we the American electorate are hurting financially because of the trump/republican negligence. So hopefully he will fall into that trap of helping us out of some duty he thinks we may owe him. However I don't hold much hope for this because he is, if not one major thing, a stingy asshole with our money. Sure he will give all to wall street to keep that economic indicator running smoothly for the wealthy but as the many of us know wall street rarely helps main street. If he could imagine though how main street helps wall street he would surely consider helping along the lines of the Heroes Act that mcconnell is sitting on in the senate. Just to be clear, if mcconnell put the Heroes act up for a vote, even though we democrats are the minority, it would still pass.
     I can't for the life of me understand how republicans think that making life miserable for the majority of us will help them this close to the election but here we are. The only other alternative for the many of us is to vote all republicans out of office and replace them with democratic politicians who will help us and ease our burdens mainly through no fault of our own. This whole thing is simple when put into perspective. The republican party allowed for the trump virus to spread and bring our economy to a standstill yet will not give us the necessary tools to overcome it both economically and logically. We the American electorate, democrats, republicans, greens, libertarians, and those of us uncommitted to any party need to end the oppressive unprofessional reign of the conservative republican party and vote for every democrat on the ballot.

      Strange day today. the anniversary commemoration of the Twin Tower bombings and the other airplanes used as missiles. Much like with Pearl Harbor this day isn't easy to reflect upon. Yet for the last 7 months we have had 67 times the deaths of each one of those earlier infamous events. So living with approximately 1000 deaths a day from the trump virus, Covid-19, has inured us to the shock and horror of it all. So as I sit here at my desk I wonder if I will ever be back in a world where even the slightest injustice will again be outrageous instead of just another day under trump. My mind tells me that I cannot fathom the cruelty and inhumanity that republicans and trump try to instill in us. Yet my heart beats so heavily as to shake the foundations of my soul.
     We are all worse off because of trump. What he has accomplished to do is to bring us down from our better and best natures to a place where depravity and injustice are common place. I have been posting about how many days are left for us to vote and change the course of not only our political lives but our moral and ethical ones as well. Before trump was able to become our appointed president I had a real sense of duty and a desire to be as helpful a person as I have ever been. Yet when trump were put in office I began a years long deterioration from a vision of growth and knowledge to a place where idiocy, greed, and harm conjure the future.
     Today should be spent in reverence to those who were taken away because of the worst of what a human can do but instead I am also filled the daily depressing thought that more will die today that didn't have to die. The trumps own this time and place in history as the worst of what humans can be. I am bone weary from their endless assault but I am still alive therefore ready and able to stand up to them. This time will soon come to an end with November 3rd. just around the corner but in the meantime we must keep our sense of humanity intact and remember that the worst of who we are is not what gets us to being the best of who we are. Only our care for each other can do that and until trumps are gone the care will not become reality.

      The revelations from Bob Woodward's interviews with trump are damning to say the least for trump but they are not enough to make him resign. Because short of a smoking gun lethal felony he is staying where he is to keep from his life getting much worse quickly. He is a cad for sure and the many of us tried to let everyone know that 4 years ago but the message was lost on too many. But now the message is ringing clear with all those who didn't take the time to vet him last time. This election is now on par with being a lopsided democratic victory that will flow down ballot to other democrats. Which is what is needed to make the complicit republican party pay for their attempt to game our elections, among other underhanded things.
     The deal with the type of person trump is, is real simple. He has no empathy for those who are not him. His children, his close associates are just props in the daily life of his existence. The clinical term for his type of being is somewhere between narcissist and sociopath. I am no psychology major nor an amateur medical prognosticator, yet my eyes and ears tell me that he is not within the bounds of normalcy and his affliction is always aimed at what is better for him regardless of the cost to others. So when he is given deference on subjects well beyond his scope of understanding we are feeding his ego to a much more elevated irrational state.
     The election is now only 54 days from the count. That is how we will remove trump from office. He will never self remove because like I said he knows the law will be after him without his protected immunity. As the drip drip drip of information that is damning to him continues it helps we the opposition to trump keep our message out there that he is not worthy of continuing to be the appointed president. With many states beginning early voting over the next 9 days the cost of his arrogance and self admiration is coming due. We will make him leave after January 20, 2021 regardless of his coup attempt to disown and denigrate our voting him out on November 3, 2020.
     

55 days left until the election (#4239)

      Now only 9 days until Minnesota and South Dakota get to early vote. It is happening folks and I know we are all anxious to get our own ballots. We have been enduring this time of trump, whom we confirmed with michael cohen last night on Rachel's show, that trump didn't even care to become president, it was all for marketing his brand with the russian oligarchs and putin. That he was appointed was not in his meager imaginings so that is why we are living under the most cruel and brutish of a conman thug. His per chance appointment has been our blame and deserve for letting it happen.
     I don't blame trump for being appointed but I do blame him for not stepping down immediately. He colluded with putin to make our society unjust and unfair. The time will come for both of them to feel the sharp edge of justice but in the meantime we have work to do so that our society makes the necessary correction. I would vote for a balloon if it were running against trump but instead we are fortunate to have 2 candidates for president and vice president who will do admirably in those 2 positions. Our society will be in good hands once the deceiving manipulative trump is put out to his justly earned deserves.
     In 10 days the states of Michigan, New Jersey, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming start their early voting processes. We are here folks and the most important decision we have is not just to vote but how to vote to make sure our votes are counted. Many states have trackers on their mail in ballots so if you do vote early with a mail in ballot, keep track of your ballot until it is in the hands of your local election official. It is amazing just how stark the contrast is between the nonchalance of the 2016 election and the imperative of this one. I feel the strength of our voters ready to do all that we can to make sure we vote and that our vote is counted.

56 days left until the election (#4238)

      8 weeks now left until the election. Just 8 weeks out of the the 208 we were originally starting out with. So 200 weeks are now behind us. Historically we know a lot can happen in the final 8 weeks to change our minds on the direction of the country and the candidates that promise that direction. Yet we have had 200 weeks of knowing who trump is and since the republican convention we also know that republicans have no policies they are fighting for except those that benefit the wealthy. As a group I have little against the wealthy except that they have too much wealth. But for the republican party to dismiss we the working middle poor class as non existent is unforgivable.
     No amount of time left will resurrect any hope for trump to sway enough voters to keep him in his appointed presidency. We have all the evidence necessary to vote him out and any last minute gambit on his part will not change the years of neglect and harm he has put on our heads. So these last 8 weeks are we just marking time and for some already early voting. The die has been cast as it were and there is nothing to do about it. To many Americans trump was an unknown quantity and that plus some nefarious election interference from within and without trump was able to sneak into the presidency. That is no longer the case as we all know who he is and he has been found wanting!
     In about 11 days early voting kicks off in Minnesota and South Dakota who will join the already voting North Carolina. Then a slew of states follow immediately after. So it isn't just 8 weeks left until the election it is actually much shorter for the voting to begin. I remember how I felt going into election day in 2016 it was with some apprehension because I saw some signs that troubled me but never did I expect the weak turnout from we democrats that helped to usher in trump. I do not feel that this time. If anything I feel such a resolve from our democratic party to vote at all costs that the turnout may well be record setting. Yet time will be the arbiter and all we can do now is our best and make sure all of us can get our ballots counted.

57 days left until the election (#4237)

      Well the time is shortly arriving although in North Carolina the time has begun as people are already returning their mail in ballots. Soon the other states will be kicking in their early voting processes. We are here and the time is now for us to make sure we are voting straight democratic ticket. No exceptions at all because regardless of how nice a republican may appear it is all an act given first they choose to be republicans and second the republican agenda is one of hate and division especially aimed at the American working middle poor class. No time for any republican getting a vote for any position from a democrat or independent at this juncture.
     I have seen consistent reporting that more than 90% of the electorate is already locked in on their candidate. I expect that the debates will be the last opportunity for voters who are a bit uncertain to make their choice certain. I also expect that both democrats running, Joe and Kamala, will do well against their individual opponents. The right wing conservative movement is only focused on the wealthy and everything else they do is to favor those wealthy. That leaves the working middle class with the champions Joe and Kamala. The stark difference in approach by both parties will bode well for we democrats as our party has policies and the vision to back them up for the betterment of the American working middle poor class.
     What may well have been a comfortable lead will by election time most likely become a huge lead that foretells our blue wave tsunami. I am not much for predicting given the outcome last time in 2016, but this isn't 2016 and the lying conman who slithered his way into the White House has shown us who he really is over these last four years. Not much at all to like about him so I do expect as a normal that Joe will beat the orange buffoon by close to 15% of the vote. I do expect it now. I had been uncertain 4 months ago when I thought trump would pivot toward the working middle poor class in order to pick off a large percentage of us. but he didn't and now with less than two months left and the voting beginning he has left himself with little to no chance of winning on November 3rd.

58 days left until the election (#4236)

      The drip drip drip of nefarious acts and behaviors of trump for every day of the last nearly 4 years is plenty enough for the many of us to have decided we won't have trumps back in control of our government. Furthermore with Joe Biden we are seeing a real statesman who not only will take the necessary steps to bring our society and cultures back into resonance but as well he will ally himself with our traditional world partners again. On his first day in the office as President Joe will bring us back into international agreements that protect our planet and make us safe from our enemies. The overwhelming sense of urgency and anxiety the many of us feel will immediately be lifted with the Biden/Harris administration.
     The unequal news coverage of both parties given the cruel and brutal nature of the republican party keeps this race to the White House closer than it should be and that is what media is good at these days. They are much more interested in the bottom line than they are in protecting the dearness of our Democracy. Not all but enough to create an appearance of normalcy when the exact opposite is true. Nothing about these last 4 years has been normal except the media trying its best to smooth the rough edges of everything trump. The very nature of the necessity of truth and facts is on the ballot this time as we as a nation must and should stop the disinformation channels from existing as alternative facts.
     In 58 days we get that opportunity, the many of us, and although the media and trumps will do everything within and without reason to stop the inevitable the blue tsunami will arrive. The many of us, especially the working middle poor class, have had enough of the privilege and advantage of the republican party carpetbaggers who live like they are owed all of the deserves with none left over for us. Well that is not how Democracy works and in these next last few weeks the trumps will get the message as the voting will put dread and astonishment on their faces when the totals come in. I for one have been ready for the end of the republican party because decades ago they ended any real representation of us the many.

59 days left until the election (#4235)

      Well today folks in North Carolina will be receiving their vote by mail ballots. North Carolina kind of snuck up on me as I have been trying to update on who votes early first. I knew that Pennsylvania in the past had started it's early voting 50 days before the election but could not ascertain whether they were going to do the same this year. But North Carolina was completely off my radar up until a couple of days ago and then I just decided to wait to see if they would actually go through with it. They did as ballots went out in the mail on the 4th. So actually some ballots could have been received yesterday.
     All this to say that it is beginning now and many folks are filling out and mailing back their general election ballots today, at least in North Carolina, https://www.npr.org/2020/09/04/909597279/voting-season-begins-north-carolina-mails-out-first-ballots. There are a record number of voters asking for mail in ballots all over the country and the majority of them are coming from democratic voters. It makes sense since the control republicans have had the last decade over denying voting to the working middle poor class has kept many democrats frustrated at getting absentee ballots. Yet with the pandemic a new dynamic has emerged and republicans have relented in many places to allow for virus free voting.
     We still have to watch what is happening with our post offices because the trumps are not quitting on trying to slow down and impede mail delivery as much as possible. But early voting is a cure even if we feel the need to drop off our ballots at state election offices or collection boxes. What vote by mail has also done for us is make the 46.9% of voters who didn't vote last time in 2016 more available for voting. Which in the big picture should be a net gain for we democrats. Since before the obstacles to voting were at polling booths the obstacles are now not visible. Voting from our homes makes the act much more likely since we don't have to travel long distances and wait in wasteful and enduring long lines. This election is a foreboding to republicans and for that we the many are well pleased.

60 days left until the election (#4234)

      Okay, another block of 10 days put behind us. I cannot tell you how much it means to me to see these days behind us and the voting day that much closer. 6 more blocks of 10 days and we are all eligible to vote, those of us who have registered to vote and haven't already voted via mail in or early voting, on election day. Many corporations and large companies are actually giving people paid time off to vote or allowing them the day off as a incentive to vote. Voting, what does it mean? It means everything in a Democracy. It is the lifeblood of how our system of government functions, or in the current case, how it doesn't function when we the all of us don't vote.
     People like trump, who can sneak into the office of the president because 46.9% of eligible voters didn't vote in 2016, is the example of what happens when we take our Democracy for granted. The Russian leader putin had much to do with it and when trump is gone and a fierce defender of Democracy is back in our White House the payment for his meddling will come due to putin. The greatest form of government ever devised cannot be undermined if we don't let it and the clarion call for this election is that very same concern. That trump didn't complete his takeover of our democracy in his first term is due to the fight we still have in us and yet if he gets another 4 years he will likely complete his coup of our sacred American Democracy.
     In 60 days though we have the bettering of him in our sights. The angst we the many have felt these last 4 years has come to its crescendo and the noise we make on November 3rd will not soon be unheard! The early voting time is coming and so are we who have fought hard against the chaos and division trump has instigated into our lives. Some think that this contest for the will of America is going to be close. I am not one of those, instead I am of the stance that we the blue wave tsunami will swamp the pit of trumps with such force that not only will trump lose his election but many of his republican allies in the senate, house and the statehouses will be defeated. This is going to be a glorious 2020 for the last part of it to make up for the hard of the 2020 we have had to endure under trumps.

61 days left until the election (#4233)

      The weekly unemployment numbers were less than normal this week but the methodology for counting them also changed. Given that trump is a fudge of numbers kind of guy it isn't surprising that he would put in a system that counts less unemployed to his advantage. Still there are nearly 30 million recorded unemployed below those who are not counted. All this to say that trump could care less about the future for all these folks and more about his own future in the White House. I say to all who would stumble across my blog, that trump is not the kind of human being who should ever be put in charge of other human beings.
     That being said we all are going to get a chance to change that very soon. With the election starting for us in just a few weeks through early voting our will be done. Of course we still have election interference to deal with on many levels but the many of us are well aware of the dirty tricks both the trumps and putin are playing at. They may think they can bamboozle us with their much too obvious attempts but they are only pissing into the wind. We were caught unawares in 2016 and paid a heavy price then but not this time around. We have seen the truth of trump and his bellicose pronouncements are just so out of tune with our idea of democracy and the principles that democracy espouses.
     We have real champions in Joe Biden and Kamala Harris so the fakery and foolery of trump and pence will not with stand the test of honor and truth. The three debates for Biden and trump are coming up along with the one debate between Harris and pence. In all of them the deceitfulness of the trump administration will be exposed. Biden and Harris have no time for the trump/pence nonsense and will crush both of them in due course. This coming election will finally rid us Americans of a painful daily headache the many of us have had for nearly four years. The weight that will be lifted off our heads will be a yearned for satisfaction. The dearness of our democracy is at stake and although the many of us are weary of trump's awfulness we are still resolutely poised to change the direction of our nation.

62 days left until the election (#4232)

      The end of trumps is near and I can hardly contain myself. In just over 2 weeks the early voting begins in Minnesota and South Dakota. All the primaries are behind us now so the general election is all that we need to focus and come together on. You all know my stance on things, vote for every democrat on the ballot and everyone vote as soon as the opportunity is presented. There is nothing in the existence of time and space that is more important. No, not love, nor money! Not all elections are this critical but this one is the most critical of any election in the brief history of our democracy. It is paramount above all things and we all need to do our part in voting.
     I will likely never say this again about an election as it is the most disturbing of ideas that there would be another reality where the balance of good and bad are being weighed. If we cannot overcome our own selfish tendencies within this particular capitalistic paradigm to put the nation first above our own survival then we will shortly learn that we are less able to defend our survival if trump is given another 4 or more years. Because make no mistake, trump is not wanting to leave the presidency because of his vulnerability with civil and criminal charges. He will not only demand to stay in the presidency for life but he will also convert our democracy into an autocracy where he passes his reign onto his children.
     If you think I am embellishing here just look back at trump's own words. There is enough evidence he has verbally given to make the above scenario more than possible in his mind. The trumps have already begun to destroy the balances of power between the 3 branches of government which is what he must do to take our democracy away from us. Yet there is one last step the many of us can take to make sure that trump is not able to make himself into his master, putin. Yes, putin has something on trump that makes trump an underling to a foreign adversary. Too many are helping trump to hide this but when we defeat trump at the ballot box we then can dig the truth out and then commit to punishing those for their crimes.

63 days left until the election (#4231)

      Exactly 9 weeks left until the election. As we have seen in the last few months the trump ramp up to the election is to sow discord and create havoc. His conway person told us that all of the chaos and discord that can be created is helpful to trump. We knew this but they have actually said it to verify our logical assumption. It isn't so much what they say unless they say it in conjunction with their actions. Yesterday trump actually praised the shooter of two and wounding of one in Kenosha to nobody's surprise. The struggle for our generations right now is to keep the forces of authoritarianism held in check while democracy goes forward.
     The ideological lines are there for the clear choosing so there is no doubt as to which political party we decide to back with our votes. Because for maybe the first time in our electoral process the political party is on the ballot not necessarily the persons. Voting all blue or all red is likely the most obvious outcome so there will be little of splitting our votes between candidates of both parties. The reason for that is because the governing party will need all the help it can get in every political office in the country. The federal level for sure but the state level is as vital in this election than anytime I can remember.
     9 weeks left until the votes are being counted. I for one am feeling good about our chances of getting the release of trump's grip from around our throats and getting a big gulp of air in my lungs. The metaphor is applicable because the decision we all finally make at the end of this election will most assuredly define the ability we have to breathe without constraint. From climate change to police reform the restrictions on our individual and collective rights is at stake. I am an older man who has lived most of his life already so the outcome for me is less personal as to me but to my psyche and my honor I will not let the worst of who we are, exemplified in trump, overcome the best who we can be, exemplified by Joe Biden, win out as long as I draw breath!

64 days until the election (#4230)

      18 days until Minnesota, and South Dakota start their early voting. 19 days until Michigan, New Jersey, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming begin their early voting, https://www.vote.org/early-voting-calendar/. It is amazing how close we are getting given the significance of this election and how long we have endured to get to it. I know that trump has been controlling the narrative of obstructing mail in voting and crowding polling places with his right wing disruptors. Yet with all his bloviating we, who are not of his ilk, will not be deterred. It won't matter how difficult he makes it for us to cast a ballot we will find a way around him so that we can dismiss him from our politics.
     18 days until the first ballots are filled out. I am just so excited even though I am in California, I am happy for those who get to go sooner. We here in Cali get our ballots starting in 35 days which is just 5 short weeks. Although with trump and his constant self created turmoil it seems like our weeks are a lot longer than short. Yet because of logic and science we know that time is relative and consistent regardless of people like trump. So shortly we will begin our march to change the lack of leadership in our federal government with proven caring leadership with Joe Biden. This whole time before the election is like a sweet event for me even though many are rightly worried about how we get there to the voting and counting time.
     I know trumps are messing with everything but I am confident that our electorate will not let him take our vote no matter his determination to do that very thing. According to a Gallup poll in July-August 2020, there were 31% democrats, 26% republicans, and 41% independents, https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx of the more than 153,000,000 registered voters in the US as of 2018, https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx. 46.9% of registered voters did not turn out and vote in 2016. Yet in 2020, the percentage of non voters is expected to be far less than 46.9%. Early indications from the past few years instead suggest that there will be a tremendous turnout to vote even given the trump obstruction of voting for democrats in particular. It should be an historic election and we are very much looking for it to come around on the calendar.

65 days left until the election (#4229)

      65 days left until we finally relieve our national burden of cruelty and manipulation. the cruel part pretty much needs no explanation. Just look at what he is doing to we the working middle poor class. The manipulation part is a bit more subtle but not by much. The payroll tax cut from wages earned is one of the subtle manipulations. He cuts that little bit that is taken out of earned paychecks for the worker to keep and instead of paying into that workers social security and medicare the worker gets that money now. But what happens to social security and medicare if it isn't funded anymore? It dies. The manipulation part is the one where trump promises that it won't have to be paid back if he is elected.
     So instead of voting for Joe Biden, who will restore the social security tax to paychecks, workers are enticed into voting for trump so that they never have to pay back this year's small deferred social security taxes next year. See how trump did that? Yet no matter how clever he tries to be in offering table scraps to the American worker for their permission to end social security and medicare it won't work. I know that Joe Biden won't let the American worker hang by trump's petard. Something will be worked out that will allow workers to keep this years social security tax deferment while still keeping social security and medicare solvent under a Biden administration.
     That trump is trying to pull this dirty political trick this close to the election shows just how desperate he is by every little attempt to undermine our democracy. Because once we democrats get back the White House and the whole of Congress the funding of high priority necessaries will be legislated. There won't be a republican obstruction that can stop our march to end economic, racial and gender inequality. The trumps know this so that is why they are even trying to engage the working middle poor class now even though they ignored us for all of his previous administration.      We are past the conventions now and there seems to be little movement from the large Biden lead nationally. the swing state polls are still consistent even though we know they will tighten up a bit over the coming weeks. Yet there Biden will still have a clear edge. It seems that no matter what trump tries to do it is just more of the same, rhetoric without action or sense. He chose his strategy when he first came into his appointed office. That being screwing the working middle poor class while enriching even more the, you guessed it, rich. So how does he try to turn all his failures into positives? Why of course by blaming them on Biden and Obama.
     It is cute of him to say that the things happening are Biden's fault when he, trump, is actually the sitting president. How he thinks that a message of impossibility will resonate with regular folks is beyond me but there you go he is trying it anyway. As well he is ignoring the greatest threat to American life in a century and acts like Covid-19 is no big deal. Nothing to see here folks keep moving along. I cannot even go to the place where the russians offered bounties on American soldiers and trump is silent about that. A hoax as far as he is concerned. When trump calls something a hoax you can better believe it is anything but a hoax.
     So with 66 days left until the election and just 20 days left until Minnesota and South Dakota begin their early voting the time is short for trump to convince anyone outside his rabies infected base that he is a viable alternative to...himself. lol. The insanity of trump and his running against himself in the form of Biden is even more laughable when you hear him say that when elected he will solve all the problems that are going on now so why doesn't he solve them right now instead? Because his way of solving problems will need him to be reelected first so that the brutal solution he has in mind cannot be challenged given his mandate.

      Well, I can now watch television at night since the trump cult gathering has ended. Unlike a lot of folks, I figured trump out well before 2016 and although I didn't hate him then I knew he was a dishonest piece of shit. Well now I full blown hate him for what he is doing to our nation and what he still wants to do. Which if you watched the trump convention then you know. Although I am sure he didn't mention cutting medicare/social security down to nothing. Regardless of the crap he wants to do to us I like to focus on what Joe Biden will do for us. Extending Obamacare out even further to many who have no health care. Addressing the Covid-19 problem and myriad other things that are actually helpful.
     So tonight when I watch my favorite cable newscasters it won't be with the backdrop of everything all about trump. Some think this election will be close and I can understand that given the happening of the 2016 election. But many had no clue how bad a person trump was and his rhetoric and russian help proved just enough to let him become an appointed president because he surely wasn't the popular vote getter. We have had 4 years now to see who he is in real time with little in the way of cover. So for him to use the stealth attack like last time would be fruitless as he is the incumbent and not some outsider throwing stones.
     He has done such a miserable job of being presidential and when he put immigrant children, stolen from their parents, into cages he then revealed his nature. A man/child who somehow was both heartless and ignorant. This isn't an unknown to all of us now. So for him to call other people bad human beings is rich given his lust for causing pain and misery to those who are not as able to defend themselves. I reckon that for every 3 people who vote 1 of them will vote for him. that is a mighty statement on my part but trump has shown that he is a mighty failure to the many of us who pay attention. The base of trump is about 33 percent so I figure he will get most all them but who else in their right mind would want another 4 years like the 4 years we just went through again?

      Life is pretty simple when you know what to do in life. Help those who need help and stand up for those who are being harmed. Everything else is just marking time with our work, hobbies and pleasures. I don't know what else to add here but surely there is more. However, being the kind of person who does good by people is what I am trying to emphasize. Once you have gotten a taste of helping others or fighting for those who cannot you will find that the adrenaline rush is addicting. Being a good person is the outcome but the acts to define that bring out the life in us.
     We don't need to be daredevils to feel the thrill of life, we just need to take a chance on our own courage and let it come as it may. I should probably be dead 50 times over from my youth with all the crazy thrill seeking things I did and survived but as I have gotten older I find that putting myself on the line for an idealistic cause or defending someone where my own self is at danger is far more rewarding and more productive. I have gotten to feel the real sense of triumph when I stopped a bad and turned it into a good. There is no better feeling in life than when your courage has taken you to the best of who you are and you came out the other side a more magnificent human being.
     I know there are only 68 days left until our whole nation is voting one way or another and that time is quickly approaching. It is incredible to me that the time of trump is finally coming to an end and the physical and emotional suffering he has placed on our heads will soon be no longer. I expect him to lose but I cannot guarantee it. But what I do know is this, if we who are registered to vote make every effort to actually vote the blue wave tsunami I know is out there will be plenty strong to flush the republican party right out of power. It takes courage to make a stand and tell the world that you will not be trifled with at their own peril! Yet courage is there in all of us and the time to find our courage, despite our fears, is now when the fate of our nation and our democracy is in jeopardy.

      69 days until the election and 23 days until early voting starts in Minnesota and South Dakota. We have turned the final corner on this race to change the direction of our ever in danger democracy. With our White House being used as a political prop in the conman trump's attempt to stay in power for the rest of his life. He has to try because if he doesn't he will go to prison or flee for the rest of his life instead. That I am even saying this without it sounding like some crazy conspiracy theory is the danger we are in. There is nothing about what I have just said here that is an untruth.
     I am not watching the nightmare version of a convention for trump, because it is a convention for trump as there is no republican platform that is being offered. Nor am I waiting for the other shoe to drop on those who defend trump at the mercy of our democracy. Like falwell being essentially blackmailed into supporting trump. Makes me wonder who else like falwell who defends trump above logic and common sense. Like mcconnell, graham, cruz, etc... When will cohen tell us what he knows about the blackmails currently being deployed on them as cohen has just shown he knew about falwell but said nothing.
     This whole trump as president thing will unravel in time but I want to know before that time can be hidden as a strategy to keep power for trump. We the American electorate don't need to be babied about reality. What is going in is our first and foremost need to know in order to protect our democracy now and for the future. So cohen needs to fess up or back to prison he needs to go and the rest of us need to pressure all those who are hiding truths to force them out into the open. This trump debacle has shown us that there is no need to sugar coat the truth as too many innocents are dying every day from the ineptitude of trumps and his enablers.

      There are now 7 blocks of 10 days left until the election and 10 weeks until the election. 70 days until we can finally start to restore sanity and continuity to our nation. I have been hearing lately about subgroups of folks who are hesitant to back Joe Biden because they feel less than in the areas of their greatest concerns. Well first off if Joe had no direct policies that included me I would still stand behind him to stop the devastation of what policies are left that trump is destroying. I get that some feel the need to want more out of Joe right now but again, perspective, we need trump to end first before anything new can be done.
     Secondly, threatening to not vote or vote third party is childish. I really mean that. There is not one ill bone in Joe's body and to think that if he does get to be president he wouldn't immediately set out to right wrongs is absurd! We all need some relief in our lives and Joe will address those needs when he gets into office. The reminder from 2016 when our spoiled rotten electorate stayed home so we could end up with the likes of trump cannot ever be allowed to happen again! So those of you who did not vote in 2016 who were eligible, more than 100 million of you, need to vote for Joe just to make up for your error last time regardless of any policy that may be of your benefit.
     Thirdly, you will be more than happy anyway when you see the overall changes Joe is going to make concerning the young, middle aged and the older. Given more than a few months and a democratic Congress the difference in our nation will be amazing and the happiness quotient will be enormous. Because good people do good things and for that you must vote for Joe and all democrats on the ballot. So stop with the petty tantrums and pity parties because there is real work that needs to be done like protecting our right to vote given the trumps and their tactics to stop us from voting. Democracy is under threat and you are crying about a policy that helps you. Well you will see the better of your policy once trump has been removed from office and Joe is sitting in our White House.

71 days left until the election (#4223)

      71 days until the election but only 25 days until early voting starts in Minnesota and South Dakota. 25 days is just 3 and 1/2 weeks so get ready to have our plans together for how we are going to make our votes count. There will still be some judicial rulings coming to determine how difficult or easy our vote will be in certain parts of the country, but either way the Supreme Court decides, we have to be ready for the worst case scenario. I now won't believe that the Roberts court will side with those who want to restrict access to voting but I am not fully certain.
     If anything Roberts, the crucial swing vote, has been reluctant to destroy democracy in ways that are so easy to recognize. He is still a wildcard on this as he has in the past sided with his conservative majority to make voting harder but those cases in the past were more complex and left doors open for legislation that could have rectified things. These coming cases about voting are not complex they are out and out sabotage to our fundamental right to vote. So do not be surprised if Roberts decides that the trump administration has once again exceeded its authority and reverses restrictions. He may as well decide some issues with our postal service and that would be welcome as I expect he will stop the backdoor decommissioning in essence of our constitutionally protected postal service.
     Yet these are my opinions about the Supreme Court and although they will be helpful in making voting easier they are not for certain so let's keep our thinking focused on voting at all costs regardless of the difficulty. Again, this election is the most crucial election of my time and nothing will stop me from making sure my vote is counted. It isn't just me and others telling you to vote it is making sure your ballot gets to the election office without being lost or discounted. I know I still have 71 days left to post on this subject and it does get old even for me but that still doesn't stop the need for me to continue until we have elected every democrat on our ballots and they are counted in the total on election day.

72 days left until the election (#4222)

      The blatant ignorance of the typical trump middle poor class voter is unbelievable yet true. I can see the sociopath wealthy voter being all consumed to support trump but the simpleton who has little to nothing supporting trump is mind boggling. The only thing that makes sense about a working middle poor class person supporting trump is trump's rhetoric on nationalism and or his race gender disparagement. The prejudice within them must outweigh the good within them for them to disregard the daily awfulness trump rains down on everyone else. There might be another reason as well. Since most of trumps supporters seem to be those who have little higher education, their attachment to him might be because he has little knowledge as well.
     He did get into some higher education schools with some dubious ability but he shows no real understanding of nuance nor intricacy that would make him appear as an intellectual. I find many times that those who failed to advance on to higher education because it was too hard are finding redemption in trump as he proves to them you don't have to be knowledgeable to act smart. Or at least appear to be smart. He fulfills their secretly held dogma that they are really smarter than the learned. I think this might explain a lot of it since cheating and failing to understand logic are now exemplified in trump. So the unlearned are now the learned and they got to be that way not by applying themselves toward knowledge. How convenient for them.
     Yet when something like Covid-19 comes along they are ill prepared to even know how to begin to arrest and detain it. They like most things in life try to ignore it but it is not like we Americans with our short attention spans. Covid-19 has no other purpose in life than to infect and it is on a tear to do so with the anti-intellectual crowd at the helm. There really is only one way to defeat these slackers who would now consider themselves as special and chosen, and that is at the ballot box. We cannot convert them from their position because it is their life's dream to have gained without earning. So the rest of us must form such a huge gathering of togetherness to put our dearness to intelligence and knowledge above their short cut to power.

      The trumps say that they are not trying to make voting by mail harder and that the guy in charge of the post offices who is making the changes to reduce post office efficiency didn't know some of the things going on. All the while sending out memos describing the changes and telling post office employees not to talk to the public about the changes. Now I know some of us where born yesterday but most all of us were not. The idea that we the public cannot distinguish between "do as I say and not as I do" is ludicrous. It is also a factual untruth. So how do we hold the trumps and their mannequin type talking heads accountable?
     Well the House Oversight Committee will hold hearings starting this coming Monday and they have the power to compel the truth from whomever they subpoena. I doubt at all that the House will let go some of the falsehoods already offered in the Senate hearing. But we will have to wait to see. I don't know what the House may conclude but certainly it will have some force once it is given. Even if the trumps once again are not punished this time before the election afterwards will be another story. the trumps think that if they win the election all their troubles now with democrats will fade away so it is with a fervor that they are scrambling to win in November.
     The many criminal and civil complaints that have piled up over the last four years and before will all come to a head once trump is defeated at the polls on November 3rd. The trump regime will have another 78 days before the hand off of administrations to figure out their exit strategy from the overwhelming judicial barrage coming for them so don't be surprised if the trumps bail out on America to a place where extradition treaties are not in force with America. I have no doubt that when the trumps lose in November it will be all hands on deck with them to figure a way for trump to escape his coming legal due. It will be a time of happiness for the many of us but still the trumps need the reckoning if only to prevent further future criminal enterprises attempting the same strategy.

74 days left until the election (#4220)

      So now we are past the democratic convention and it has been hailed as a success. What do we expect from the republicans next week? I know they have some technical people who will get their convention off in the virtual space that democrats did but what will be their message. That all is well and we should return that all is well in November? Well all is not well and so that message won't play very well outside the republican bubble. How about that all could be better if we let them have another 4 years to straighten it out? Well that would not go over well outside their bubble either. How about the Democrats caused this and we need to vote the democrats out! Well that has no chance of working since republicans are in control.
     So I just don't see their message within some rational, albeit mostly propaganda way. They really don't have a message that can deny the 40 million or so who have lost their jobs these last 6 months nor the nearly 180,000 deaths from Covid-19. The inequality of our minorities on their watch cannot be ignored either. So whatever message they do trot out will take some suspension of reality by we the people and that is not going to happen. What may be better than the nightly cult gathering around continual trump rallies for four days is to not have a message at all. Because no matter what they try as a message it will have to be a blatant lie. So just attack we democrats and let the chips fall where they may.
     If trumps past is any indication the four days of the trump convention, because the republican party has ceased to exist, will be nothing more than a flow of the subservient who will lavish their praise on the magnificence (puke) of trump. A four day cult gathering that will not try to convince voters based upon policy rather to warn all of us that if trump is not elected we will all suffer from unspeakable harms. Oh and that god will be angered if he isn't returned to his power trip. For a guy who has no relationship with a god he sure tries to act like he does when it suits him. Which is just another in a long line of character flaws this guy has aplenty.

75 days until the election (#4219)

      The Democratic convention last night was another wonderful example of what we would have if our voters come out to vote. I am still thunderstruck by President Obama's speech last night it was an absolute searing assault on the reality we are living under with trump at the helm. We know trump cheated in many ways to steal the presidency and then seeing who should have been our president, Hillary Clinton, speak last night made for a bittersweet moment with me. However that is in the past and we couldn't rectify that injustice but in 75 days we can end the madness with a vote for every democrat on the ballot.
     With President Obama delivering a magnificent rebuttal to all that trump says is good about himself, Kamala Harris was able to focus more on her story so that the rest of America could see her as we do. A perfect tandem of efficiency between Barack and Kamala. This is our democratic party. The many willing to sacrifice for the one and when necessary the one willing to sacrifice for the many. The contrast couldn't be any more stark when compared to the republican party and their fawning fealty to trump at every turn. Next week we will see the slobbering boot lickers praising their master trump with unfailing subservience.
     But today we will see our nominee, Joe Biden, continue to display the togetherness we democrats are all about and with his usual aplomb dissect the trumps like the arrogant hucksters they are all about. The republican party is a wasteland of the selfish, cowardly, and greedy with little to no substance that is worthy of exemplifying. Today we will again control the narrative that has been inundated by trump since his first day as the appointed president. But this respite for the last 3 days and again today is what our democratic party needed to recharge and reinvigorate our resolve to finish off these last 75 days with a flurry of resistance to the trumps and their bragging voter suppression tactics to try to steal yet another election from we the people!

76 days left until the election (#4218)

      There is one normalizing thing about trump. I am getting used to him doing something terrible every day. I expect it and he always delivers! I know many like me are just so bone weary from the crap trump keeps piling up on us and that there are now only 76 days left I can feel my third wind coming along. I remember when I used to run long distances the second and third side ache would come and go and I would feel like I was floating on the ground as I picked up my pace. That is how I am starting to feel now. Although the headaches I get from worrying about what next he will do to us are constant, the life draining sense of my soul is diminishing.
     I am kicking in to that third wind and the excitement I am starting to feel is the end of trumps on the horizon. Not only the end of their political malfeasance but the reckoning that awaits their arrogant behavior. As we head into to third day of our four day Democratic convention my soul is being replenished by the good people who are in this fight with us to end the days of the trump regime. He is calling on his master putin to help guide him now that he is knowingly in trouble and that is just another nail in his coffin when the judgement time comes. Of course he won't record the meeting nor share what it is about. Who does things like that? Criminals, that is who!
     76 days and we will finally see the true heart of America that hasn't been buffaloed by trump bullshit and instead we will see the brilliance of Biden and Harris as they step into the next phase of our American experiment. There can be no forgiveness of trumps when they have spent the entirety of their reign showing no remorse for their acts of cruelty and derision. They should be subjected to an inquiry that looks under every rock to find all the scurrying creatures who enabled and defended trump through lies and suppression. The next days after the swearing in of Biden/Harris should be about forming the tribunal that will judge trumps because the need to dissuade their kind of behavior in the future should be on all of our highest priority agendas.

      Today marks 11 weeks left until the election. Just 11 weeks folks. After last nights very successful Democratic convention opener it is looking like a good start to the last little bit before the election. We democrats put on a good opening night that will be tough to match but I have no doubt we will because if anything has been learned over the last 4 years it is that we know how to defeat tough! We have had to put up with the disgraceful and cruel trump agenda and we are coming out of the end of it with some real hardened skin and a purpose to defeat him that will not be denied.
     As our speakers said last night, trump is not up to the challenge of leading our nation and never has he shown that more with the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. He is also unable to confront and diminish his own followers who are more like authoritarians than democracy loving Americans. the verdict is in on trump and regardless of what he does these last 77 days before the election his time is up. Michelle Obama laid out the charges against trump last night and then supplied the verdict. It is time for the under performing trump to be removed from office if not now then at least at election time.
     With our national economy in disarray and failing for nearly 40 million out of work folks the last bastion of hope he had that the economy would carry him to victory is now just a lost memory. He has pumped up the stock market with trillion and trillions of dollars otherwise the stock market would have crashed as an indicator of the true state of our national economy. Yet as he pumps up the stock market he lets main street, our workers and small business owners, hang out to dry. He is always less likely to help the working middle poor class at all. That is where most of us live and him not understanding our needs like he understands the needs of the wealthy will be his ultimate failure.

78 days left until the election (#4216)

     78 days left until the election. These are magical words to me. Because back when there were 1,456 days to go for the next election I was not in a happy place. I knew that 1,456 days on November 8th 2016 would be a struggle to survive and for the most part that has been true. Especially since I nor many like me saw the Covid-19 mismanagement by trump. Over 170,000 deaths here in America already from Covid-19 and unfortunately many more to come. It is hard to get excited when knowing that over 1000 people a day are dying for no other reason than that trump refused to take the viral pandemic seriously.
     We as a nation have had to do our own protections against the virus with little help from trump at the federal level. Not only did trump weaken our viral protection programs prior to the contagion spreading but he has shown very little in the way of leadership qualities to contain it. As a cause and effect of his misconduct in stifling the virus we are now faced with the plan to vote by mail in order to prevent more unnecessary infections at polling stations. So what does trump do? He starts to dismantle our post office intentionally in order to make voting by mail a gamble instead of a solution. He says he knows little about what is happening at the post office but we know he is lying because he is a hands on person who knows all that is going on under his reign.
     The election that is sitting out there in the next few weeks is the solution we Americans need to end the reign of trump and get some people into our national government that can actually lead us and not his own personal agenda. Yet that is still 78 days away and what happens in those next 78 days will go a long way toward showing us that we will have the right of our vote and the dearness of our democracy upheld. That trump is calling to meet with putin again about what we can only surmise is election interference information is another in a long list of criminally intent acts by this lawless appointed president. Well our next president, Joe Biden won't be an appointed president because he will get the majority of our votes and it won't be close!
     

79 days left until the election (#4215)

      I know it is only 79 days now until the election but trump is moving hard to deny us a democratic vote. He is also working to destroy our democracy with intentional plans to subvert our form of government. He has help in that the executive branch is now more like a mafioso hierarchy and the Senate, which has a lot of control as to how trump is handled is doing nothing to stop his parade to liken himself to a dictator. So what is left for us democrats to do? First and foremost we must hit the streets again and peacefully protest against all who would peel off our national safeguards to protect our democracy.
     We also need the House, which is the only branch of government that trumps don't control, to implement any controls we have to tamp down the trump coup. Any devices at all is what we need, bar none! The time is short for our defense and all the tools we have need to be turned into weapons of law and procedures. We must all also accept that whatever the cost to any of us the voting must be made sure to be secure. So if trump does get his obstruction through the post office then we need to find a way around it. Because for the umpteenth time, this election is the most important thing that we have to correct if our nation is going to survive with democracy.
     I wish I were just being alarmist and extreme, but I am not I am being honest and truthful. Either the continuance of American democracy is voted for; or the end of American democracy is voted for. There will be no middle ground as we democrats are fighting hard to preserve democracy while the trumps and his republican cabal are fighting to end our democracy and finish the trump coup for his authoritarian rule. There are more of us than them but we need all of our voters to vote for every democrat on the ballot because the rot of the republican party is not just at it's head but throughout our body politic. So all who run as republicans are enablers of the coup that trump is willing to end our democracy for to fulfill his own personal pleasure.

80 days left until the election (#4214)

      Another block of 10 days has been accomplished leaving only 8 blocks left until we find out trump has been dismissed from our politics. He has been working hard to make sure he stays in office but not in a good way. Instead of trying to win our votes to his message, he is trying to stop our votes against him. He will fail of course because he is not smarter than we are and we will find a way around any of his dirty criminal attempts. By trying to stop our votes he is instilling an anger in us that is worse than picking a fight with us. He is blatant in our face trying to tell us we are not worthy of voting our own conscience. Well he will find out that we are capable and he will be the one at the wrong end of it.
     80 days until election day but in 34 days the actual early voting begins in Minnesota and South Dakota. So his strategy to deny our votes is not going to work in that we will get our votes in whether we have to hand deliver them ourselves all across the nation. The early voting opportunities will be taken advantage of because the vast majority of us know that there is nothing in life at the moment that is more important than this coming election. So the flood of early votes will be tremendous because we all know trump will do everything he can to interrupt the later votes coming in. So if we all vote early he will have no luck with stifling our vote.
     He knows the votes are going against him as every poll of any noteworthiness has him behind consistently with we the American electorate. For him to all of a sudden change our minds would require a suspension of reality. That will not happen and he will go down to a resounding defeat as long as we vote early and with great urgency. It was a difficult thing trump has done in uniting we democrats so dramatically but for him it was the worst thing he could have done. We are mighty when united so his consistent harm of we the American middle poor class has drastically backfired on the whole of the republican party. We stand ready to vote early and in solidarity with every democrat on the ballot. The republican party has earned our ire and they will receive it November 3rd, 2020.

81 days left until the election (#4213)

     More so than how many days are left until the election, the news yesterday about trump removing drop boxes and disabling sorting machines from around the country to obstruct the collecting and assembling of mail, is the priority topic. Sure the days left until we vote is very important, however our actual ballots and what happens to them is now more important. 76% of Americans are eligible to vote by mail, https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/08/11/us/politics/vote-by-mail-us-states.html. So it seems that it will be probable that more will vote by mail than will vote at a polling station. So you can see why it is the greatest priority to secure those ballots that are mailed. That yesterday trump said that he is trying to stop mail in voting tells us all we need to know about his nefarious intent.
     The only ones who should be in favor of trump trying to stifle our vote in such a blatant and dishonest way are his rabid base of anti-democratic followers. But that core group is very small in the make-up of our voting electorate that the rest of us should make sure that when we cast our ballots against trump we make sure that they reach the board of elections without fail. So the postal service may not be the best way to deliver our filled in ballots. We may need to physically deliver them to our election boards personally. However we end up making sure our votes count there is only one entity that is making it undemocratic, the scoundrel republican party.
     Since republicans are trying to subvert our vote there really should be no other alternative to whom we vote for. The democratic party is fighting hard against the trumps and his sycophants in the senate to secure universal voting for all whom are eligible. So who to mark for on our ballots should be a no brainer. The republican party must be made to pay for their criminal attempts to undermine and destroy the very foundation of our sacred national post office. The end of trumps and the republican party is what we all need in order to weave the broken pieces of our moral and ethical fiber back into a true mosaic constitution of the American dream.

      I didn't speak on the Kamala Harris vice presidential pick yesterday as I had another stream of thought going and I knew I had time for today to get a clearer narrative of what I wanted to say. First off she and Elizabeth Warren were my two most favored choices given the dynamics of these current days. Liz because she is not only a bulldog on economics but she has no love for trump. Kamala because she is also a bulldog on justice issues but also because of her young appeal. I had pulled back from choosing Liz for only one reason. That being she is in a state where when she won with Joe, her seat in the senate would be filled by her republican governor and we need every seat in the senate as possible.
     So quietly I sat on the sidelines watching the parade of posts that were debating who best would be Joe Biden's pick. First of all it was Joe's pick not ours. Second it seemed irrelevant to speculate when nothing would come of any effort of that nature. But again, quietly I had hoped he would pick Kamala because she is in a state where the governor is a democrat so when she wins with Joe, her senate seat would be filled by a democrat. As well there is the issue of gender and race at play. With Kamala filling both desires. I have been back here in California since before the new millennium so I have seen Kamala's rise through the ranks. She is fierce in an endearing way so at this moment when fierce and endearing are a great value she brings both to bear.
     Together with Joe, Kamala will be a difficult target for the dumb bullies in the right wing conservative party because Joe and she are smarter than them. The trumps of this world will only show us that they are not in the same league with either of Joe and Kamala and will exemplify instead that their upward punches have no steam to them. The end is coming for trumps and their lackey boot lickers because they have been found out and been found wanting! The promise of a better future is coming with Joe and Kamala, together with those of us who have been enduring the cruel brutality of trumps we are on the precipice of flushing down the metaphorical toilet the last 4 years of republican piss and shit! A good day yesterday, today, and the rest of tomorrows as our democratic ticket has been filled and now it is off we go to reclaim our national heritage and principled honor back.

     The language of the trump base is illogic and nonsense. Which is why I never waste my time talking with them. I just move along whenever they are in my proximity. I used to try to reason with them and even gave them some benefit of the doubt but no longer. It has actually been many years since I even considered talking to a rabid republican. It is always the same outcome. They cannot stand to be wrong when their minds are made up. That is the curious part. I am all for changing my thinking when a better more logical way comes along. It is my nature to evolve into something more than I already am. It is like they have arrived at a place of comfort and will not budge because it suits whatever purpose they are basing it on.
     So why bother is my motto. Life really is short if you don't know that. So why on Earth would I care about someone who doesn't care to live in reality? I need to keep my eye on them so that they don't destroy life as we know it but there is no other reason to even consider them as real. What I do instead is hone my own arguments for those who still practice reason, analysis, and conclusion as their equation for learning. In other words people like me who are still curious about all things that exist. Now let me be clear about another point as well. I want to know about things that exist, not things that don't exist. My meaning is the god thing. I live in reality and that is where my understanding is founded. Not on a magical thought or dogmatic wish lists.
     I find that being grounded in my own principles for living, which can be summed up in one short phrase, do no harm, is perfect for me to define the best of who I am with the best I hope to be. My morality and ethical life are more in tune with the good within me than the bad without. So no time for irrelevance and incoherence. Life is good when the idea of knowing and caring are the utmost in my agenda. I am not infallible as you must know by now given my penchant to scream and holler from the top of my lungs about injustice and inequity. I am also an angry man at times with those who would bully and disrespect. I am human and given that and my desire to right wrongs I can be harsh and unforgiving but that is what I would expect from myself given the nature of the foolish and heartless.

      Well now just a dozen weeks left, 12 weeks, not a bakers dozen. Highly important distinction as we need no more extra seconds of trump. 12 weeks is really nothing to go through normally but it will be hard with trump. Yet with 12 weeks, it is now down to his last gasp desperation. There is little we don't already know or suspect about him so he is a known, much less than decent, quantity. He fooled many last general presidential election just because he was an outsider blaming the insiders for all our troubles. But not now! He is the ultimate insider and without a doubt the real blame for all our troubles. The narrative last time against Clinton was a pack of lies, this time it is a pack of truths against trump.
     Another great difference than 4 years ago is the undecided's left for the taking. There are very few and the dynamics of that undecided group is much different. 4 years ago that group was white and middle aged. This time it is people of diverse color who are mostly younger. As well the group is much smaller than last time so if trump thinks he has a chance with them he would be misinformed. He will get some of them but less than half by a lot. With Biden already leading with many of the groups necessary to win the late breakers that helped trump squeak out an electorally appointed nod in 2016 will not do that for him this time.
     So what is left for trump if late breaking undecided's are not his hole card? Well he is in deep trouble. If he doesn't somehow in the last 12 weeks change the narrative so violently that we are all considering voting for him he cannot prevail. Given that he has baked in opposition so opposed to him that no scenario of change will give him our vote he has little to no chance of changing the narrative to his favor. He has harmed the may of us so many times that any attempt to placate us will be seen for what it is, a strategy, nothing more. With 12 weeks left, each day I become that much more confidant that his non empathetic conman routine will be the last of him in our political lives.

85 days left until the election (#4209)

      One third of the way through August which is to me the longest month because of not only it's 31 days but it's unrelenting heat here where I live. So being approximately one third way through it is really an achievement in the time of trump. Normally I look forward to August somewhat since it is my birth month but this year I would give all my looking forwards if only to be that much closer to election day. What does appear as fact is that as we get closer to election day trump is finding more ways to interrupt our election as a free and fair one. How anyone at this point could still be a trump backer speaks more about how awful we are as human beings in America.
     Yet he keeps polling in the low 40% which to me should only be about 1% at most. So this is who we are in a nation that was perceived to be a fair and just one. Well that bubble has been burst with the advent of trump and his protectors. I will not prognosticate about anything other than our blue wave waiting to vote because as we all have seen over the last many weeks trump is capable of anything disastrous in hurting too many Americans. Like his fake out on executive orders to promote payments of money that is not established in his powers. Yet he will take money from FEMA, earmarked for disaster relief, and try to use it to as unemployment payments. As we are in hurricane season the gamble that we won't need that disaster relief is a bad one.
     Regardless of whether he can do that the law seems to be that he cannot. Yet the courts will have to decide one way or another and in the meantime 10's of millions of Americans will suffer because of it. These last 85 days before the election are going to be horrible and that is not an embellishment. The trumps are convinced that punishing us is his way to victory in November and his strategy to punish us is now his course, win or lose. So prepare for the punishment as best is possible because the only realistic way of ending the trump regime is to vote him out. I don't expect fate or karma to have a say as to a sudden change so just know this, if you don't vote for every democrat on the ballot you are not helping to end the policies of trump that are designed to malign and hamper the best of who we are.

      Michelle Obama speaks for all of us when she tells us that she is a bit depressed. Some more than others obviously but generally speaking any of us with more than half a heart and a decent perspective on life are struggling with the worst of what human nature can bring in the form of trump and his boot licking sycophants. Yet as we endure each day toward our goal of electing Joe Biden and many democratic candidates on November 3rd we start to alleviate the negative effect of that endurance. I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders and since there are many more just like me I expect you too are carrying that weight. But very soon that weight will be lifted and then we can start to live our lives like our founders envisioned, pursuing happiness.
     86 days is still some time but in 40 days voters in Minnesota and South Dakota will begin marking their presidential ballots. As each new day arrives trump finds more ways to unsettle us but what he can't do is stop us. We are monolithic in our togetherness and nothing he can do to split us apart will work. We know him now and that knowledge protects us from anything he may try. He is not a good person at any level of his existence so constantly looking through him is our defense against any claim he may make. He is working hard to disrupt our democracy and within that our voting process. Yet as we each get a ballot we each have an opportunity to fill it out and then hand deliver it to the elections office wherever there is one in our cities and states if that makes us sure our vote is counted.
     Another consideration is that with each new obstruction he creates he pushes borderline voters further from supporting him. Hypocrites who would rather we all die so that they can have what is left to worship them as if they were gods.

      87 days feels like an eternity this morning with the republicans stalling on any Covid relief package unless it is their idea of one. It is as if we Democrats, who are many more than republicans, don't exist. Well I am not as discouraged as they would like me or for that matter all of us to be. We are in for a bumpy ride these last many weeks and it isn't a surprise since we know how much republicans hate the working middle poor class. How we will get through this will be our challenge but to say the least trump and his boot licking acolytes will pay dearly for this. There will be a reckoning on November 3, 2020 and of this I have no doubt.
     The republican party will no longer be in control of any branch of our government although in theory they still hold a 5-4 majority on the Supreme Court. But as has been mentioned before adding justices to an expanded court is an option we democrats will have after Joe Biden in inaugurated and both houses of Congress begin their new democratic leaderships. I am not day dreaming here as the mood of our nation is that we have had enough of conservative republican politics all throughout our nation. Even republican voters know the hand writing is on the wall concerning this election and they are collectively in disarray as how to react. Which is of course fine with we democrats because the left to middle edge of republicanism is on the fence.
     There is little distance between trump and his more conservative far right edge of republicans but that group is a lot less prolific and just more noise than danger. The republican party is not going to do well in this coming election and as trump continues to make the many of us more economically desperate he is losing more and more of his hoped for converts. The virus he is ignoring is the catalyst to all of this and that several hundreds of thousands will die before Joe takes the presidency remains as trump's biggest failure among a slew of failures to numerous to list. 87 days does seem like an eternity but as each new day ticks off the calendar we are that much closer to a new and much brighter future.

88 days left until the election (#4206)

      Well the jobs report came in today and it was at least disturbing. Little ,more than 1.8 million jobs were filled from the more than 40 million that were lost earlier in the year. As if that wasn't sign enough for republicans to relent on their obstruction for a Covid relief bill they still walked away from negotiations after Democrats reduced their demand by 1 trillion dollars. I have seen the democratic bill that was offered and nothing about it looks like it is unnecessary. So here we go with tens of millions of Americans who were forced out of their jobs because republicans did not take the Coronavirus serious and this is how the don't remedy the situation.
     I don't know what will happen going forward but you can bet that republicans will bear the brunt of the blame for making so many millions miserable. If republicans were worried about a possible blue wave election before they are about to find out that the blue wave will be a tsunami that will drown their asses. I am sick and tired of the republican party acting like our government is theirs and not ours. We don't need their paternalistic approach to our governance especially since they are buffoons and henchmen. The time is done for them and if they had one ounce of humanity left they would agree with Democrats on a stimulus bill so that our society isn't completely ruined before we can remove them from office.
     There will be a reckoning and it will come down on their heads in a way that outweighs the harms that they did. Paying a price steeper that the harm caused is an effective punishment to keep these types of actions and behaviors from happening in the future. The republican party is deserving of such disdain and derision as is necessary to shock their conscience and awaken their humanity if possible. There can be no mercy given them for this as they have had years to modify their intentional strategy to harm and weaken the working middle poor class. For me it is just to make them pay and we start that payment on November 3, 2020. Let us all keep our anger in check but also stoke it to make sure we are on fire when the voting time comes.

     Well here we are just 89 days away from our new life. Well actually the voting in Minnesota and South Dakota starts in 43 days. So the beginning of our new life theoretically begins then. Let me add that Pennsylvania has the option to begin our national voting in 39 days but not sure if that will happen. Regardless of what happens in Pennsylvania, Minnesota and South Dakota will begin their voting in just over 6 weeks. The very next day 5 more states begin their early voting. I can just imagine how many early ballots will be sent back. The influx of quickly returned ballots will be monumental. Which is what we democrats need to have happen as the republican strategy for this election is to stifle democratic voters in any possible form.
     When we see the republican party offer nothing to us, the working middle poor class the vast majority of voting Americans, for returning them to office the only way republicans can regain power is to lie, steal, and cheat. I am not making this up and you should know this by now. It is a tragedy that the republican party has turned it's back on America but it is also a chance for America to turn it's back on the republican party. I have been saying this for years and now maybe it will become evident to the many that the republican arty needs to end and in it's replacement the Green Party needs to emerge. For we democrats for a large part are now left of center liberal/progressive, center, and left of conservative, majority. We need the Greens to bring the hard left progressive agenda as a counterbalance to the now growing left of moderate democratic party.
     Anything to the right of a left of conservative democrat is utter ridiculousness. We democrats have proven that we are fiscally conservative enough while still being humanitarian so what is the point of the conservative party other than to house the right wing insanity of authoritarian and police state values? Whereas the Greens are constantly trying to re-imagine a world without dangers that are man made. Instead of looking to our right to find solutions to our planet and our individual societies we need to look to our left and try to incorporate the better ideas from that point of view. This isn't that hard except that we have too many who are not fearless in their own lives trying to make others fear them.

     There are now 9 blocks of 10 days left until the election. My obsession with ending the reign of trump is soon at hand. There will be nervous moments along the way as we bear down on the actual voting but there is enough of a blue wave still riding high to allay my nervousness. I wouldn't be nervous at all if this wasn't such a pivotal moment in our nations history. The damage already done by trump has been infamous and historic so any further chance he had at finishing us off would be abhorrent. The uncommon allegiance too many have to him despite the destruction he has wrought is disturbing and must have a reckoning of its own once the deed is done.
     There are those who live among us who have such a cowardly and diseased outlook on life that no simple remedy is possible. Yet these ones must never be given power like with trumps ever again. How they became to be like this is generational and the catalyst has always been the republican party. They disdain education for all of us and they dismiss any attempt to create an atmosphere of compassion and curiosity. The republican party has the ills of our nation at their feet and if we give them more time to do their deviousness our democracy will be at their feet as well. Thus my apprehension at moments when I think they may pull off some nefarious trick to steal our votes from us.
     The republican party does not hide its pretense of obstructing voters any longer. They have their marching orders and those who are in position to do so will do so as we move closer to November 3, 2020. As devious as they are they are also calculating, as with what they are now doing with the 2020 census. Trying to rush it done without counting all the souls in our land. This way they can apportion House seats more favorable to their party. Another obvious trick they hope to have adjudicated their way yet the outlandish nature of their gambit may well be beyond the sensibilities of Chief Justice Roberts. Time will tell.

91 days left until the election (#4203)

     We are down to 13 weeks left until the election. While I was half awake earlier this morning before I got out of bed I was thinking about how many minutes and hours were left until the election. To many for both right now to add to the countdown but soon at least with the hours after they get below 1000 I will start mentioning them. By the way, I never use an alarm clock anymore to wake up as I can never sleep more than 3 or 4 hours at a time at the most and after I wake from a 3 or 4 hour sleep I never get much more than an hour after that.
     But 13 weeks left in the election is significant in that we are now within the 3 month window. I want to talk about the presidential approval polls for a minute though. For the most part the polls have been well consistent and under 45 percent for just about all of trump's appointed presidency. He is now at about 41-42 percent and that may well come up more to his normal 45 percent by the time of the election. That would still put him down 10 percentage points from his disapproval numbers. I mentioned the word consistent a few sentences back and the reason for that is because trump started out at just under a 48% approval rating but quickly went down to his now "consistent" 41-42 percent approval rating.
     He has never been above a 50% approval rating during his entire presidency, https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/. Which if he did would put him in a position to win a second term. But where his numbers are now and where they historically have been foretell an ominous tale of little to no comfort for him. If he cannot get his approval numbers up to at least 48% his chances of being appointed to a second term are nonexistent. Realistically I expect him to come back up to around 45% but not above and if anything he may well stay at the lower end of 40%. In my logic he shouldn't even be polling in the 30 percentile range but I am often disappointed with the American electorate. Especially after he has allowed so many Americans to die unnecessarily of Covid-19 and destroyed our economy along the way.

92 days left until the election (#4202)

     Some illogically argue to stop the $600 being paid to workers to stay home above the minimal amount they receive in regular unemployment. It is equal to about $15 an hour for a 40 hour work week. Which is paltry when historically considering how poor our working middle class is. But a bigger concern for me is the demand by republicans that employers be given a pass on violating worker rights. Which they will do if given immunity from virus related offences. Nothing that republicans are offering is aimed at helping the working middle poor class so don't ever expect them to understand the desperate plight the majority of Americans are in. The republican party did little to stop this pandemic and now want the working middle poor class to pay for their incompetency.
     It is my hope that Nancy Pelosi and the democratic leadership will not give into the republican demands to further destroy what is left our our working class. I would rather we suffer a bit longer in holding out than to agree to a bill that let's employers harm our workers and gives the workers less chance to stay our of harms way as to the virus. I will accept whatever the democratic leadership decides because I know they have the bigger picture in mind. Yet republicans will pay a price for not negotiating in good faith if we don't acquiesce to their demands. The election is coming and they need to pretend to care about us at this pivotal moment.
     Otherwise republicans will face such a slaughter on election day that their gambit now will seem like a real lousy outcome. I expect that within the next few days the dam will break on the republican side as more republican candidates up for reelection in battleground districts and states see the writing on the wall if they don't help the working middle poor class. It is a hard thing right now for the those of us who are desperate and may become willing to accept breadcrumbs instead of the whole loaf. But now is the time to fight for all we can get to not only secure us from the danger of the virus but to advance our society toward caring for it's people regardless of the republican mindset that they are our masters.

     The ongoing sabotage of the election by republicans of their own chances of holding any power continues. With their obstinate denial of Covid-19 precautions and their firm grasp of confederate ideals they keep themselves as a shrinking block of undesirable qualities. If you had told me that republicans would be defending the choice to ignore science during the pandemic I would have told you that they wouldn't because we also have an election in 93 days. Why? Because ignoring science during a pandemic is tantamount to unnecessary dumbfuckery, and widespread contagion! If you had told me that holding onto confederate ideals during a time of unprecedented protests against the traitorous confederate ideals would be a republican strategy I would have only smiled and said surely you jest.
     We democrats have stood by science and social justice while republicans have stood against them. I can't tell you how unimpressed I am with the current abhorrent republican party. They are obviously not only on the wrong side of both those issues but now they are holding up necessary aid help to 10's of millions of Americans while they wait and see how much they can gain the system for themselves. Meanwhile trump is conferring with putin over how to handle his own reelection attempt instead of confronting the dictatorial ruler over his putting bounties on American soldiers. The list of things that trumps have done and are doing that undermine the largest voting block in America, the working middle poor class, has already put him in a negative light.
     But like all things here in America the memory is shorter than it should be and although no person in their right mind would vote for trump he is still solid with at least 40% of the electorate. How he could be that high with our citizenry tells us more about us than it does about him. Yet there could well be 60% of our electorate that end up voting against him and if that is so the defeat of trump and his acolytes across the board will help heal our democracy and put us back on a track that exemplifies a manifest destiny worthy of some pride and humility. In 47 days the early voting begins in Minnesota and South Dakota for a new chapter in our American story.

94 days left until the election (#4200)

      The tired I am feeling is so real to me and although I am a young 64 for a bit longer the weariness that the trumps are placing upon our heads is such drudgery. This is now August and that means we are just more than 3 months from the election day. 3 months from ending this added weight of unnecessariness. Because when Joe Biden is elected the worm will turn on the trumps and they will be the ones who feel the weight of their own doing and not us. Sure we will have 78 days left after the election to put up with trump before the Biden inauguration but those days will be less effective for him and more emboldened for us.
     I may be tired to my bones but I am no quitter. I still speak truth to power whenever and to whomever is in front of me. I do not lessen my convictions to dismiss the ignorant and unwilling who still cannot get to being honorable in their lives. I have no time for relatives or friends who have shown their racist and misogynist ways. I don't care who they are there is no mercy from me. I have made my choices in life and today they are noble in their intent. I do not give any benefit of the doubt to those who choose to be less than decent and respectful of all life. They no longer exist in my mind.
     If I ever do give anyone a pass on their choice to be less than honorable then I become less than honorable so no passes ever from me. I call it the way I see it regardless of the effect that has on me. There is no value in the world worth one iota of my principled stances. Either be a good person who is more than just words or get out of my way because I will just steamroll right over you. No time left from me at all! There are too may good people who deserve my time and they are the ones who will get it. Those who have disrespected my time have none left for them to have of me. They no longer exist to me. I am so tired of fighting against the stupid around me that letting the stupid into my life is so counter productive and not to be allowed.
